Please correct me if am wrong .Why do we have separations like Iyers and iyengars and sub sects even in them ? Why cant we all be just Brahmans and worship thy lord ? Why these divisions and separations ? Will these in anyway lead to peace, unity and tranquility which is the ultimate point of worshipping ??? Even in the Bhagvad Geeta there is only one Brahman who follows the the one and only Supreme !!!

Of course it will lead to peace if the person finds the right path, caste or anyhing does not matter because of the following; the Gita says, "Even he with the worst karma who ceaselessly meditates on Me quickly loses the effects of his past bad actions". "Know this for certain: the devotee who puts his trust in Me never perishes!"

When u start practicing you will find out there is only one omnipotent chaitanya. That is god. There are different ways of reaching him. If you rigorously follow what your elders have shown you the way, that is more than enough. Take care of your parents, they are the real gods. Donot bother about all the 33 karode gods, IYER, IYENGAR, MAdhwa etc.,

BRAHMAN are VEDAS. Forget separations divisions etc. Look at everyone as your God. Treat them the way as if you treat the god himself / herself / itelf. Follow always the right path. You do not need to practice any religion to reach god. God is within you, you have to invoke him with your good deeds. What is good to you, may be bad for someone else, by practice, you become sensitive enough to understand the good and bad for you and for others.

Brahman is a Job Title.

Catur-varnas are job titles ---each job done by those that are befitting the responsibilities to do their own part for society & for theirown quota of enjoyment.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Each four societal divisions of worker (Brahmana, kshatrya, vaisya, sudra) are united in the Catur-ashramas (four spiritual sacraments):

Brahmacarya, Grihasta, vanaprasta, sannyas.

These 4 societal divisions + 4 spiritual sacraments = varnashrama dharma.

This is the complete picture. All the divisions of workers must cultivate the 4 spiritual sacraments, so that in old age all society is revered as 'wise'.
