I had never heard of Baby Hugging until Danielle posted, I wish we had such

here, but we don't. Then it occured to me...Now that I know about this service

and how lovely it would also be for the hugger, why not go and check out if it

could be introduced here where I live... and so I intend to check it out next

week.

Hospitals and care units offer many great volunteer opportunities. Baby Hugging

usually is within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

" Assist staff with holding , bottle-feeding, diaper change, dress and swaddle

infants. "

 

I'm fortunate to have a hospital across from my office as well as we have an

amazing children's hospital up the road.

 

For those with pets, animal assisted therapy teams can make a huge impact on a

patient's recovery and general well-being. It's a great way to share time with

your furry companion and to be of service to others.

 

This may interest some as well... " Spiritual Care Volunteers " .
