Well GF, i think part of the reason that I am a veggie head is that I grew up

living for some time with a grandmother whop lived the depression, therefore

we had lots of veggie only meals and grew alot of our own food...I learned to

appreciate the goodness of veggies and to not eat much meat, as is still

predominantly the case....hubby is from an extreme carnivore family though and

complains if i go meatless too many nights when I make dinner....

Interesting how this happens, isn't it - but food habits are indeed a matter of

what one grows up with ;=) Now *my* grandmother, whom I lived with for a

while, who also had similar experiences to form her eating habits, was a

perfectly extraordinarily terrible cook *lol* So I eat the way I do *despite*

her

influence, not because of it ;=)

Now as for spicy food, I was brought up with it - if only occasionally. I guess

an

Anglo-Indian curry was my first experience of it when I was quite young, and I

have never looked back ;=)
