The best plan is to regard 2 American teaspoons or tablespoons as 1 English teaspoon or tablespoon (eating spoons) In a jar or in a bottle put the petals of 4 roses. Avoid washing the petals but clean them with absorbent kitchen paper. Pour the vinegar over the roses. Seal and store in a cool dark place for at least 1 month. Turn the bottle occasionally. Before using you can strain it. A flower - flavoured vinegar that adds character to salad dressings, chicken, duck and liver dishes, and even to fruit salads.
