One of my favorite herbs is Valerian. I love growing this in my garden because

it looks so nice with all other plants and is not fussy.

I love taking this herb also. It certainly does it's job.

We include Valerian in two Formulas- Female Formula and Nerve Sedative.

Would love to hear some favorites from you all !

My favorite herb is Arnica. Since we are all clumsy in my house someone is always in need of the pain relieving properties. I make my own cream because store bought is made for lasting shelf life and the oil is so very soothing. Plus, the flowers are pretty like sun flowers (same family of flower) in the garden. Rayne,

I have never grown Arnica but certainly use it. What part of the

country are you in ?

I do not think I can grow it here. Are you willing to share your cream

recipe? It's ok if you do not want to.

I love, love, love Valerian Root. I have taken it for quite a while and it does the job. I would not want to be without it. My other favorites are Lavender and peppermint. Then there is White Willow Bark and Feverfew. Oh and definitely Chamomile, that is another herb I definitely cannot live without. So many good ones.

How long do you have to take valerian before you see any results? I took it for

about 2 months and saw nothing.

Yep, they are good ones. :) I am in the US in Idaho. I could probably grow most of them I would think, I just have not tried. Maybe next year I will try to grow more of them, this year other projects are taking over gardening. I grew some things last year and it was fun and nice to have them.
