Guest guest
I would like to put an essential oil diffuser on my Christmas list and I was hoping to get some recommendations from you folks. Right now, I use the kind you put the tea light under the little bowl and it works great, I was just hoping for a choice that I could leave unattended (not worrying about water amount in bowl, flame, etc.) and also one that plugs in, and I can put in a lower place. I find with the other up on a table, the scent rises before it gets to my nose! Does anyone know how this one works? http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=81092 & catid=641 & aid=2 & aparam=tb52\ 70-pd & trx=AMZN-PD & btrx=BUY-PD-AMZN-PD & trxp2=81092 & trxp3=1 & trxp4=A & scic=0 Any other less expensive recommendations? Guest guest
Hi Debra I personally like the nebulizer diffusers, they are pretty much maintenance free. Add oil to the glass piece, set the timer and you are done. It will depend how much you use it how often you will have to refill the nebulizer but it's usually about 5 days. You can see ours and read more about them at http://www.aromatherapyoutlet.com/nebulizers.htm <http://www.aromatherapyoutlet.com/nebulizers.htm> Regards Marlen Rodriguez Victoria's Scents Inc - AromatherapyOutlet.com Ph: 305-828-7655 Fax: 305-362-5787 Email: <marlen marlen Web: <http://www.aromatherapyoutlet.com/> www.aromatherapyoutlet.com Debra McDuffee [deb] Sunday, October 26, 2003 8:35 PM diffusers I would like to put an essential oil diffuser on my Christmas list and I was hoping to get some recommendations from you folks. Guest guest
I searched high and low for a great nebulizing diffuser (whoa, synchronicity! as I'm typing this, an ad is on TV for a medical nebulizer from Liberty (respiratory and other medical supplies, not the kind of nebulizer I'm talking about here, but.. a good sign I'm sharing good info :-). I found http://aromatherapyproducts.info has a great selection, and great prices. I got the top loading tubeless professional model, and it was only $44.65. If I break the glass part, it's only $12.95 for a replacement, about half what I found elsewhere. I am very, very happy with it. Anyone who is interested in diffusers should visit their HUGE webpage on diffusers, and they also sell wholesale. I also found an oil they sell that I was unfamilar with -- jamrosa, Cymbopogon khasians. It's like a rosy citronella lemongrass. NCI, of course, just a satisfied customer. Oh, their helichrysum hydrosol is fabulous!!!! and the most competitively priced I've found. Don't be fooled by high prices and scam BS artists, the search for good products at reasonable prices is the best way to go :-) http://member.newsguy.com/~herblady
Guest guest
OK, what is the difference between a diffuser and a nebulizer? I have so much to learn! :-) Debbie deb Beautiful hair ~ naturally! http://www.debrasrhapsody.com/rhapsody/forthehair.php - " Shimai " <shimai Monday, October 27, 2003 9:18 AM RE: diffusers > I really like my nebulizer diffuser too!! Guest guest
Ditto this. These folks are great to work with and their pricing on diffusers is so competative! Cannot be beat. Also, someone was asking the difference between a diffuser and a nebulizer? A " diffuser " can be anything that diffuses the eo's into the air. A " nebulizer " diffuses the oil, but in a very specific way by breaking up the eo particles into a tiny " mist " that stays suspended in the air longer than if you were to make a water/oil spritzer to spray around the room. Also, no heat to alter the fragrance of the oil. The site Anya mentions has a great description of nebulizers on their diffuser page. Plus others (Marge?) can explain it (how nebulizers work) much better than me! Guest guest
Hi, I bought the Whole Spectrum diffuser from aromatherapyproducts.com which has a timer and you can adjust depending on the size of the room. It was not expensive. They also carry the Elite brands which have a good reputation at a very reasonable cost. I am pleased with their unit. I still like the aromalamp with a tea candle, tho. Your source for superb Essential Oils, Aromatherapy Accessories, Information, Books and more!
