The latest one was hilarious to us because it addressed nanopolymers made of gold and we have been doing nanopolymers made of petrochemical derivatives for over 4 years. Polymers are petrochemical derivatives, not metal derivatives. It made us wonder what they thought they discovered at MIT and we are quite sure their gold nanopolymers cannot compete with what we are doing. Within days the “gold touts” were out on the Internet that “nanotechnology will push the price of gold past $2,000 an ounce. BUY NOW!” Please do not fall for that. There is much misinformation about the science and hopefully this email will clear some of that up. One of the things I have noticed about Americans is they have developed a bad habit of opinions based on no facts and hyperventilation on the essence of nothingness. For example, the recent “WW III Starts on Good Friday, April 6, 2007, END OF THE WORLD”. Well, it didn’t and it didn’t. Maybe you got nuked where you are but where I am the world is doing just fine. Come to grips with that for it was false information and the product of a brain fart someone had that had no basis in reality. All of this hype and agenda driven spin about global warming, while baseball games are being snowed out in Cleveland 4 days in a row in April and both Alaska and Canada are having record cold winters is “not in tune with current realities and facts” if you stop and think it through. Here we are in April and as far south as my home of Alpharetta, GA it is just downright cold. People at this year’s Masters were wearing jackets, knit caps, wool scarves, etc to stay warm. That is a first for that tournament. The sales of hot coffee were brisk. I remember several years ago Al Gore was in the Northeast (Boston as I recall) doing his global warming scam tour while temperatures in Vermont were minus 100 F in places and it was brutally cold in Massachusetts. That is dangerously cold whether you do it in Fahrenheit or Celsius. The Sun is going through powerful shifts over the last several years and it is affecting weather all the way out to Pluto. That is a scientific fact and people need to pay attention to all facts before they hyperventilate and knee jerk in the wrong directions based on wrong facts or no facts or flat out erroneous information. No, the Gore Oscar does not obviate the scientific facts. Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune all have increased storms and polar auras that are only possible with increased and very powerful solar forces. Jupiter does not have just one Red Spot massive hurricane, it now has two and others forming. These are hurricane like storms about half the size of North America and there is not any place to hide to get out of the way of its fury. Some of the smaller storms that are forming on Jupiter are like Super Cell tornados. Imagine a tornado the size of say Connecticut or Oklahoma. The polar ice caps of Mars have decreased due to this same solar activity, so if Al Gore can explain why our use of hydrocarbons on Earth is altering the weather on Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, all the way out to Pluto, I will kiss his ass and given him a second Oscar for “Best Fiction Documentary”. If you do not believe me, go to the Hubble website and study the photos relating to our neighborhood, the Solar System. http://hubblesite.org/gallery/album/solar_system_collection/ Some idiot came up with the theory that the solar powered Mars Rover was to blame for the decrease in the polar ice caps on Mars. That person needs to get back on the meds and back to bed or back in their rubber room. Another fallacy of the Gore hype is CO2 is not a pollutant, it is food for plants. Plants absorb CO2, break it down so they can grow and live and release free oxygen so you can breathe and live. The PPM [parts per million] of CO2 in the atmosphere is not anywhere close to creating a Green House effect on Earth. The scientists who have done the research and are not tied to this new agenda have been silenced or ignored. It is not politically correct to challenge this new global warming boogeyman with real science, real facts, or real data. The bigger problem is pollution of other forms that is undermining the health of humans and all forms of mammals and fish species. They do not want you to pay attention to that because that means big corporations might be held accountable for their not being good stewards and good corporate neighbors. They do not want you to know that willful negligence is killing much of this planet and global warming is nothing to fear if you are dead. I know I do not have to undergo that indignity of kissing Al Gore’s fat ass because I know Al Gore is nothing but an agenda and a mouthpiece for same. It is all about lining just the right pockets with your money and mine. He did not invent the Internet and he is not an authority on global warming or the reasons for it. Gore does not want to have a discussion with anyone that the polar ice caps on Mars are shrinking too for that would be news that does not fit the agenda here on Earth. We cannot have scientific facts interrupting the latest scam or latest photo op. Some of you may recall the Gore – Richard Branson hype recently where Branson and Virgin are going to award $25,000,000 to the person who figures out how to save the entire planet Earth from nothing. If you dig deep the agenda is clear to see. Gore and Branson are after DOE [Department of Energy] grants to build ethanol plants in the US and we can presume through the IMF, World Bank, OPIC and other behind the scenes financing sources other plants around the world. Just check into Virgin Energy and the agenda should become clear to you. http://www.virgin.com/subsites/virginfuels/Portfolio.asp Note California and the State of Tennessee at that website link. Can I track a rat or can I track a rat? Al Gore is from Tennessee, remember? Ethanol is only useful if one presumes that the only way to power a car is with petroleum and petroleum additives. It is not. Nanotechnology makes possible a complete departure from powering cars that way and we are right in the middle of that sector too. I have had high level meetings with petroleum companies over the past 10 months and some of them finally “get it”. The remaining reserves of petroleum are worth far more in nanotechnology than squandering it on automobiles and hopping from mall to mall to shop until you drop. The same type of disinformation is happening with nanotechnology and there are reasons for that. First, nanotechnology is a scientific, intellectual property driven sector and the United States is lagging way behind the EU, Japan and the People’s Republic of China in what is the next big thing to come along. Most of the recent graduating classes with PhDs from major universities in the US in chemistry, physics and nanotechnology have been students from the PRC and they are returning home to kick our ass in this key future technology. Many of them are from India too and they too are returning home to build a new type of economy that is not subject to nor subjugated by US policy and desires to control all things on this planet through energy and financial terrorism. Part of the “problem with Iran” is they will be selling oil, natural gas and enriched uranium to India and the People’s Republic of China, which basically means that the attempts of the US, UK and Australia to control those economies is about to be history. Far too few people “get it” that the US, UK, Australia and Canada to some extent want to control uranium for money and economic reasons, not WMD reasons. Some people question why I am putting our carbon nanotechnology plant in Europe. Simple answer, because the EU is light years ahead of the US in nanotechnology and we have more scientists at our fingertips than any of our competitors. Every time we met with a US university departments started arguing over who was going to get credit and who was going after and manage the state and federal grant money. It is sort of an institutionalized arrogance within our government and corporate America that they are smarter than everyone else and somehow think they have the patent on brains, art, music, science, physics, chemistry, nanotechnology, etc. Far from it and that is going to come home to roost in real and harsh ways over the coming years. We built our company and a vast stable of scientific breakthroughs without a single state or federal grant and without the aid of universities that are now just glorified bureaucracies clamoring for money for research that never seems to get anything done. It is not about the science and the betterment of mankind. It is now all about the money. This new market sector of nanotechnology is far bigger than computers and IT and the Internet combined because nanotechnology will touch and improve thousands of products, and create new applications and products that have never existed before and are not possible without the advent of nanotechnology. It will create entire new industries and revolutionize current major industries like aerospace and automotive, computers, medicine, pharmacology, etc. In the future you will probably drive a car made of nanotech enhanced carbon composites that is far stronger than the metal and plastics being used today. Better yet, it will run on hydrogen and emit no pollution. It is important to note and grasp that mankind did not invent nanotechnology, God did. All nanotechnology is and what the word means is the manipulation of matter at under 100 nanometers. God has always excelled at that and we have not until recently and for the most part we still do not excel at it as a species. We have far too many people stuck on stupid and hyperventilate over nothing or worse, anything they hear whether fact or fiction. The average human hair is about 80,000 nanometers thick so consider how small 100 nanometers is. A nanometer is one-billionth of a meter, so imagine a yard stick (meter long) divided into one billion tiny segments. It gives a whole new meaning to “accurate measurement”. The average human virus is about 300 nm so what we make is in many instances metric tons of something smaller than a human virus yet incredibly strong and have remarkable properties. Forest fires produce low grade buckyballs (Fullerenes they are called after Buckminster Fuller) and carbon nanotubes. Now, if forest fires are harmful to you other than maybe burning down your home, you have reason to hyperventilate. Otherwise, accept that nanotubes have been around as long as there has been heat and carbon on this planet. The trick is in making them highly pure and with high crystalline structure integrity (what the scientists call morphology). That is what my company excels in. We are the world leader in those two departments, purity and morphology and soon, sheer volume. If you are going to freak out regarding forest fires, stop using your fireplace at home because you are spewing carbon nanotubes out into the environment and into your home. And for God’s sake stop enjoying a camp fire when you go hunting or camping because you are spreading nanotubes all over the pristine forests. They have tested the pigments of the great masters Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo and found nanotubes in the dark pigments, those made from heat and carbon. So if you think they were involved in some sinister plot to end mankind with their art, hyperventilate all you wish or get a grip on reality. Every diesel engine ever made produces low purity buckyballs and nanotubes. So if that makes you have an aversion to public transportation, heavy earth moving equipment and farm tractors, hyperventilate all you wish. If you cannot start your tractor or tiller again to plant a garden due to such fears, better tone up and learn to use a pick and shovel. If Al Gore gets his way you can call him for used goats to mow your yard and used jackasses to plow that garden. He knows a bunch of them up in Washington, DC, that being used goats and used jackasses. Second, the firms that are paying for these “Boo Reports” behind the scenes are for the most part the same ones trying to dominate nanotechnology worldwide and such reports discourage bankers, investors and others from moving when the time is ripe to move. It is that delay that they wish to create so they can catch up after years of sitting on their over-inflated laurels thinking they were master’s of the universe and intellectual property would rule the world. Third, particle size does matter but for every negative regarding nanotechnology our scientists and I can cite hundreds to thousands of reasons to do it. If you take a small enough particle of something as benign as cotton, insert it into a lab rat or mouse, you can create a malignant tumor. Now, are we going to hyperventilate about a cotton boogeyman or use nanotechnology to defeat cancer and other plagues affecting mankind? I have been exposed to carbon nanotubes all of my life and cannot see any ill effects from it whatsoever. You have been exposed to them too but just did not know it. The rascals are very small and hard to see. Remember, carbon nanotubes have been around since there has been carbon based plants on this planet and fire, so, are you feeling any ill effect from those trees and flowers? There have been nano-scale particles of every known element since the creation of the Universe. Get over it. We are working right now on 7 different ways to treat cancer using nanotechnology including biotechnology, pharmacology, and even new types of surgical procedures that could kill the tumor without opening up the human body. If you have ever been treated with chemotherapy, where they poison the entire body to kill a small tumor, the future prospects are that nanotechnology will produce means of treating cancer somewhat as intrusive as taking a pill or getting a shot. The nanotechnology will attack just the malignant tumor, not every cell in your body. Consider that benefits might outweigh all of the hyperventilation by people not qualified to even comment on it. Many of these “boo artists” are not scientists, not physicists, not chemists and frankly do not have a clue what they are talking about. We hear all the hype about the burning of fossil fuels to generate energy and power our cars. Are we going to stop the drive towards a future where nanotechnology will power the homes and cars and leave no pollution or do we stop the science because ill informed, uneducated and uninformed people are hyperventilating about something they know nothing about? I know from firsthand experience over the past 7 years that most PhD scientists are not experts in nanotechnology, so ask why these non-degreed folks are howling at the moon about something they know nothing about. Many of the people doing all of the fear mongering have never been in a lab, especially one equipped to explore nanotechnology. I remember when we made the breakthrough to produce at >95% to >99.5% purity (trust me, that horrifies our competition) and I wanted to know why 100% was not possible. Somewhat akin to asking a quantum mechanics expert what time it was and they take you through the process of explaining the physics and nature of a watch (and theory of time itself), I had to endure a 4 hour dissertation on a wet board as to why nothing in the universe is 100% pure except a single atom and sometimes not even that. It was pure rocket science but it made me appreciate the scientific adage of “garbage in, garbage out” and how that relates to what we do. Instead of wringing our hands on what to do, we teamed up with the people that supply our feed stocks and showed them how to use our science to make even higher purity possible. That was so we could have the purity to go around the “garbage in, garbage out” problem many of our competitors are still struggling with at this time. Every now and then I get a link like this one that causes us to smile and sometimes laugh out loud. This one was a hoot. http://www.liftport.com/ They are building a 15,000 square feet nanotube production facility. Very soon we are breaking ground on a carbon nanotube facility that is close to 1 million square feet with output measured in tens of thousands of metric tons. As we have been designing this state-of-the-art facility another opportunity has been put on the table for us to build a facility 5 to 10 times as large per month as our first plant can produce in a year. That facility might wind up being in the range of 7 to 10 million square feet of production capacity and measured in metric tons per day in output. The future has arrived and so have we. I promised months ago that we would let the world in on what we are doing. The next email update will have that link and you can read it and smile and our competitors will cringe. What can nanotechnology do? We are bringing to market new types of filters for air and water that not only purify but also specifically trap harmful heavy metals (including DU), and HAPs [Hazardous Air Pollutants] and VOCs [Volatile Organic Compounds] that are known to be detrimental to any life form they come in contact with and will maim, upend health or kill. We see global pollution as a far bigger problem than worrying about what the Sun is doing and we cannot control whatsoever what the Sun is doing. We are working on a wide array of biotech and biophysics applications all of which would improve life and offer hope in areas where there is currently no hope. We are working on energy solutions that range from higher output wind turbines, more efficient vehicles, powering cars and homes with hydrogen, photovoltaic that converts sunlight to electricity, geothermal heat sinks more efficient than any metal, and much more. One of the most inefficient systems on Earth are the electrical grids. At night when demand goes way down, most people do not know that the turbines cannot be reduced in capacity as low as the demand goes and that electricity is literally dissipated into the atmosphere as heat because it has nowhere else to go. Imagine storing about 30 to 40 percent of that lost energy and the savings it would affect across this planet. Our first production facility produces about 10 times the electrical power as we consume. That is part of what we do, higher and greater efficiency. We are working on conceptual models of engineering projects that are based on nanotechnology, some of which are the size of medium sized cities but to see one of them you would swear ET had landed. No, mankind just took another step forward and some of the steps happening now and in the future are long overdue. We have developed types of nanotubes that defy what conventional wisdom says nanotubes are and what characteristics they possess. We are currently recruiting mathematicians that are Good Will Hunting types to address things in fractal and differential geometry that few on this planet truly understand. That is due to something we discovered in an R & D project and could radically alter many things on this planet for the better. Nanotechnology is, in its purest essence, the next logical step of mankind in our knowledge, understanding and application of chemistry and physics. We can either do it and do it right or stay stuck with the screwed up world we have. We can either learn from God that nanotechnology has always been and we just discovered it, or we can stay stuck in the scientific dark ages mankind seems to prefer. We can move forward or be afraid of our shadows due to the shrill nonsense from people who have not a damned clue what they are talking about. One of the things that I personally like about nanotechnology is it is driving the absolute need to excel and it will make many things we have much more efficient. Almost every system and process that mankind has invented to date is grossly inefficient and could be vastly improved. Even automobile engines can be improved whereby they have less friction, better efficiency and more horsepower per pound while consuming less energy. Nanotechnology can force such improvements and in doing so, we all benefit. Are there bad things about this science? Yes, but many more good things. There are good and bad things about aspirin, so do we ban aspirin? There are good things and bad things about vitamins in pill form rather than food form, so do we ban vitamins? There are good and bad things about white granulated sugar, so should mankind ban white granulated sugar? I can think of many things like aspartame, MSG and other food additives, VX nerve agents, nuclear weapons, DU, etc that are much more dangerous than nanotechnology. You are a carbon based life form. How dangerous could carbon be to you? The fruits and vegetables you eat are carbon based, so again, how dangerous is carbon to a carbon based life system, carbon based bio-system? Sure, you can snort enough carbon to get black lung, but you can also burn out your autoimmune systems eating junk foods. Some of the problems mankind is facing can only be addressed by nanotechnology and solved with this step forward in science, so consider that. Some of our competitors that cannot get the purity and morphology done are pushing their crappy products towards the development of aluminum based nano-bombs. I personally can think of no greater waste of this science than military applications. Recent findings by Dr. Stephen Jones, PhD, formerly of Brigham Young University, showed that the explosions at the World Trade Center left traces of aluminum and sulfur suggesting that just such a bomb might have been used to implode the World Trade Center towers. I can tell you that they are awesomely powerful and small. No, they are not nuclear weapons, they are conventional weapons. It comes down to a matter of scientific ethics and that is why I decided to put our plant outside of the US. It was when the US proved to me, as a US citizen that ethics get crushed by greed and myopic government policies, that I knew this science was not meant to be in the hands of the US government or those major US corporations that prove repeatedly they are more concerned about profits than quality of life or even life itself. So, worry about the solar flare ups, worry about cotton being potentially hazardous to your health, worry about how you are going to till that garden without the polluting tiller, but if you cannot come up with solutions stop fretting about a science that is moving the world ahead. Worry more about the ethics of some and what they intend to do with it. Best regards, Karl Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell? Check out new cars at Autos. Guest guest
I agree 100%. My leghorn chickens just quit laying eggs. Same age as everyone else, feed them all the same thing. I am wondering if suddenly feed mill switched to the dumbass crops of Monsanto (cheaper). Are my chickens suddenly getting chemicals in their corn, and bacillus thurengiencis? Next trip to the feed mill I am going to ask questions about source of corn. My other chickens are fine, but are they next? Who gave these people the right to f*** with everything, make a profit, but destroy everything? Where did people come from that want to do that? ed - Bea Bernhausen Bea Bernhausen Sunday, April 15, 2007 1:31 PM Re: Fw: Nanotechnology can Save this Planet and Make it Work++ Bea Note: Forgive me---but it is on the backs of just as reasonable and wonderful thechnological breakthroughs that we have created the hell we are living in. Best regards, Karl Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell?Check out new cars at Autos. Guest guest
Are you sure they are not in their molting stage? Marie. - Ed Siceloff Sunday, April 15, 2007 4:14 PM Re: Re: Fw: Nanotechnology can Save this Planet and Make it Work++ I agree 100%. Bottom line---the further we get from nature the more trouble we get ourselves in. Nano technology is another uncontrolled unsupervised runaway technology that has abandoned the precaution principle. The planet was working fine until we decided to 'fix it'. Anyone who doesn't know how these shills work by now--mixing a bit of truth (your hook) with preponderous self-serving lies should really go back to PR 101. Please....don't give me these big 'fixes'---don't 'save' me don't 'make my planet work'----just give me my goddam bees and trees back!!! The time of rebalancing is coming soon.....and it won't be in the realm of science. Trust me.Lifef....... wrote: Excellent commentary by Karl W. Highly recommended. - Karl W B Schwarz 'Karl W B Schwarz' Sunday, April 15, 2007 5:02 AM FW: Nanotechnology can Save this Planet and Make it Work Greetings to all Email Update Members, Not a day goes by that someone around the globe does not send me the latest nanotechnology announcement from MIT, or an article on the subject posted on the Jeff Rense website or technology news websites. Guest guest
We all know the fed and other agencies are doing and or allowing all this sort of thing to be carried on and over the years in spite of all of our bitching and raving about it and trying to vote what we think is for the better, it still gets worse. All the letters written to the blackmailed or bought and paid for legislators and senators are fruitless. What can be done to stop this???????????????????????????? Another TEA party. But then again, it doesn't appear that modern day Americans have the same brand of courage our fore fathers had. A few have and they are soon silenced one way or another. What about the fellow this past year that designed and got patents on an automobile that ran on plain water. Word has it that he was recently killed. Back in the seventies there was a fellow in Moscow, Idaho that designed a car that would run on water and lawn fertilizer. There was a full page newspaper write up and then he was never heard from again. Stand up America - Ed Siceloff Sunday, April 15, 2007 4:14 PM Re: Re: Fw: Nanotechnology can Save this Planet and Make it Work++ I agree 100%. Where did people come from that want to do that? ..
