Hi kameshadeep

Usually when we are interested in increasing the Qi of a particular

organ, we need to look at other organs related to it, not just the

organ itself. The rules of the 5 elements can help you identify the

relationships between organs, allow me to explain my view using the 5

element as the basis.

The 5 elements consist of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. Where

wood represents the liver, fire represents the heart, earth represents

the spleen, metal represents the lungs, and water represents the kidney.

The main thing we are interested here is how to increase energy, or

Qi, on the spleen. The rules of the 5 element tells us that fire

creates earth, in other words, an increase of Qi in the heart will

cause an increase of Qi in the spleen. Now, how do we increase the

heart's energy?

One of the spleen's major functions is to transport water within the

body. When the spleen's Qi is low, its ability to transport water

also weakens. When that occurs, it is common that excess pericardium

fluid that surrounds the heart will build up, which will lower the

ability of the heart. By reducing the pericardium fluid via massaging

acupuncture points along with other methods, one can increase the

ability of the heart which will then increase the spleen's ability as

the rules of the 5 elements state. In short, improve the heart, the

spleen will follow.

To reduce pericardium fluid, you can massage the following meridian

points. Using the site that Sue provided (thanks), find the following

points

1. Kun Lun – Bladder meridian, BL60 on the chart.

http://www.acuxo.com/meridianPictures.asp?point=BL60 & meridian=Bladder

2. Shan Zhong – Conception vessel meridian, CV 17 on the chart. The

point is in the middle of the chest area.

http://www.acuxo.com/meridianPictures.asp?point=CV17 & meridian=Conception%20Vesse\

l

Besides massaging the points above, you can also relief pericardium

fluid by massaging the pericardium meridian line on your arm. The

important thing to note here is the direction, this is very important.

You must massage from your finger towards your shoulder, such

direction is to relief the fluid, not the other way around.

If you have access to small magnets, approximately 1 cm in diameter

and 2mm thick and preferably made out of Neodymium Iron Boron, you can

tape the magnet on the meridian points mentioned above along with Nei

Guan meridian point on the pericardium meridian, PC6 on the chart. 1

magnet per point, on each side of the body, and have them on when you

sleep at night will have immediately effect on your condition.

For food, there is a popular health supplement named Co-Enzyme Q10

that can help the heart relief pericardium fluid. For Chinese herbs,

I am not too familiar but it should involve the herb ginkgo. Contact

a professional TCM practitioner for help in that regard.

Good luck and hope this was helpful.

You can visit my website at http://mcm-health.com , I have written a

few articles regarding the 5 elements and the relationships in the

To my understanding, fluid is controlled by 3 organs, lungs, spleen,

and kidney, with each responsible for specific tasks.

In TCM, we divide the 10 major organs into 2 categories, the Zan, and

the Fu.

Zan includes the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidney, which are

complex organs.

Fu includes the small intestines, gallbladder, stomach, large

intestines, bladder, which are similar to " containers " .

Lungs are responsible for distributing freah, clean water to our body.

The spleen is responsible for transporting waste water to our kidney,

where it filters and dispose the waste water.

A good example would be a person with weak lungs will generally be

skinny and have darker color skin(compare with his normal skin color)

due to the lack of water being distributed throughout his body.

Whereas a person with weak spleen would appear fat and have lighter

color skin due to his lack of ability to dispose waste water. In a

case where a person has weak lungs and spleen, you might see a person

who is skinny and lighter colored skin which might appear quite

healthy. It is quite fascinating how much information you can observe

simply by looking at a person's appearance.

Please do.

Anything on cold lung would be appreciated too.

I had Mercury in my system, and am suffering from chronic stuffy nose. Mostly in

the morning.

I am hypoglycemic too.

Have a good weekend.

[Chinese Traditional Medicine] Hello

I broke my ankle and my wife had a concussion in an auto accident in

Mexico. I have spent most of the year in India with our family. I took

excellent Ayurvedic therapy on my ankle so as to avoid lasting effects

and it was very effective and it has resolved all problems.

I would like to offer a few postings on stasis, diabetes,

autoimmunity, and hepatitis from my eclectic perspective - for those

who do not know me my approach is not just TCM.

Hope everyone is well.

Hope all your troubles are behind you. Please resume your well informed posts.

I just read a piece on Diabetes and enzymes I would love to post to get all your

Hello Twyla - this sounds interesting and I would like to read it. All

medical concepts can be translated into TCM terminology - as many here

know this is my life work - trying to synthasize concepts across

several medical systems.

A genius at this is Bob Flaws - the book he wrote with Philippe

Sionneau - The Treatment of Modern Western Diseases With Chinese

Medicine: A Textbook & Clinical Manual - is a major contribution to

modern medical thought because it opens up a true dialog between

western science and TCM. I hope all professionals have this book in

their library. Even if you do not use western concepts in your

practice it is helpful to understand the relationship between western

disease syndromes and TCM disease patterns - if for no other reason

than to be able to communicate better with patients and others who

know nothing of TCM and can only relate to their disease and it's

symptoms in western scientific terms- but it is also useful to

understand the relationships between the two systems when discussing

the subject with western oriented scientists.

I always emphasize this approach because I believe that the many

systems have something to offer to each other when the correspondences

are clearly understood. I go often to Japan and just returned from

there - all traditional physicians in Japan have degrees in Allopathy

- since this is necessary to get a license to practice medicine - so

all traditional (Kampo, TCM, Naturopathy, etc.) physicians know how to

translate the traditional system into modern terminology. I very much

like that system since it gives main stream access of the traditional

medical people into modern research methods. All medicines in Japan

must go through very rigourous testing and standardization processes

before being sold to the public. The whole world would be better off

for this - especially in light of the many problems that have arisen

in places like India and China - where the regulation of medicines is

very poor. As an example I have recently been studying Minor Bupleurum

Formula (Xiao Chai Hu Tang) - called Sho-saiko-to in Japanese - for

Hepatitis C patients. My cousin in India had been working for some

time with a product he imported from China for his Hepatitis patients

and had some success but I adivised him to order the product from

Japan - he was reluctant since the Japanese product is more costly

than the Chinese product and he was afraid it would be to costly for

the Indian patients. After trying this product for a few months on a

few patients he asked all of his patients to switch to this medicine -

the Japanese product is simply much more effective than the Chinese

product - although the Chinese product came from a very reputable

company. My cousin is trying to set up a clinical study of this

medicine for Hepatitis in a local teaching hospital where he teaches.

This product can easily be made from the raw herbs in India and I am

encouraging this approach.

Hello,

I'm also new here and I'm looking forward to learning from this group! I'd

like to know if you can give some insight on how to remineralize dental decay,

Most of what I've been studying relates to dietary modifications, such as Weston

Price traditional diets, which are heavy on the raw dairy side (raw milk, raw

butter, high vitamin butter oil and cod liver oil) but also tend to emphasize

the consumption of bone broths (cooked) and organ meats/meats from grassfed

animals. I've also read about the detrimental effect of pesticides and soil

erosion on the mineral contents of our foods, leading to tooth decay. Calcium

and phosphate need certain minerals to properly deposit into tooth enamel, as

well as vitamins D, A and C. Most of US soil is also selenium deficient and

this is probably an issue as well. Now dental decay is shown to contain several

types of bacteria and protozoa (not only Strep Mutans) that can be probably be

controlled with proper hygiene and herbs with

antibacterial effects. The Indians use Neem, Peelu and Clove oil (among other

things) for oral hygiene, the Native Americans use Prickly Ash Bark and White

Oak Bark and I've heard of a TCM remedy called Imperial Herbal Tooth Powder but

I don't have the formula for it. Would it be a good remedy for

remineralization/disinfection of dental decay? How does TCM view oral health as

a whole (I've heard about teeth being connected to several meridians in the body

but I don't know specifics). Thanks a lot!

Hi, Marla!

Have you considered cleansing your colon and liver? The liver is the

body's big filter, and after a lifetime of taking in toxins, the liver

doesn't do what it's supposed to do as well as it used to.

There are lots of products on the market for this. Check with your

doctor beforehand. I can direct you more specifically on products if

you'd like me to.

Good luck!

Pjb12345uk,

What an absolutely thorough job you have done in describing the Caycian

Assimilation Elimination concept for achieving Complete Wellness. When I

attended Atlantic University in Virginia Beach where Cayce opened the

first A.R.E., I learned quite a bit. Your description and effort put

into this message post is remarkable and very eye-opening,

health-affirming and right up my alley. My domain could use a visit by

you . . .

Anyway, I followed Edgar Cayce's theory rigidly after having discovered

a left non-cancerous ovarian cyst (almost three years ago) that was

wreaking havoc on major portions of my life. I researched food effects,

metabolism factors, external influences all of which pointed to

perfecting those two things you discuss so eloquently, and factually.

PROPER Assimilation and elimination are very critical to the longevity

of the body system. I found it imperative to discover what made my cyst

worse and what I actually could ingest to make it better by becoming

smaller and less threatening to cycles, moods, hormone balance, and

regularity. WILD YAM and following the dietary retsrtictions to an AB+

blood type. I combined guru's like Cayce, Chopra, Peter D'Amo and most

recently Kevin Trudeau--all of whom knew/know about metabolic processes

and keeping healthy not just temporarily 'masking the problem'.

Thank you so much for your insight and I look forward to reading more of

your expertise !

The last time I had my glasses changed was 1992 - 3 years ago my eyes started going blurry - I increased my OPC from 50 mg to 100 mg 2 x day and the blurryness went away in several days. I use and OPC and EYE COMPLEX FROM PRLABS. I am a learning practicioner of Dr Marshall's procedure for testing and the use of the products all EXCITOTOXINS FREE. ONLY ALL NATURAL INGREDIENTS

Welcome Debra,

Quite a few people on this list practice Reiki.

It tends to pop up in people's life when they are ready, so keep your

eyes open to classes in your area.

I'd like to teach Reiki, along with EFT and some basic knowledge of

nutrition and herbalism, to every schoolchild.

I just did a long pampering Reiki session today on a dear family

member who is under a lot of stress. It is so nice to have something

free at your fingertips that can help make another person feel better.

When you find your class, please share your experiences.

Thank you. I hope your family member is feeling better now.

Teaching nutrition and herbalism in schools sounds like a wonderful idea. With

such a program, children could learn from an early age that the Earth supplied

the first " medicine chest " and was the foundation of pharmaceuticals as we know

them today. I don't discount the importance of modern medicine or medication;

sometimes they are very much needed. However, it seems that herbs, nutrition,

and natural healing have become under-rated over the last few decades. Hence,

their " alternative " classification. Teaching Reiki to children is an interesting

idea that I can't quite make up my mind about. On one hand, children are

probably much more open to the concept than many adults. Yet, I wonder if

children would understand the responsibility that comes with it. Perhaps I'm not

giving them enough credit. The children may understand the responsibility of

Reiki more easily than some adults.

Ruella,Welcome to the group.Yes there is hope. The best way to battle cancer is from its source, the immune system. She should follow Tony's Natural Anti-Cancer Protocol. The link is below:/anticancer.htm All of these recommendations are very strong anti-cancer fighters, the first of which is Oleander. You can purchase it as a supplement at http://www.sutherlandiaopc.com or follow the recipe and make your own "Oleander Soup." However, you must follow precise directions and make sure the plant has not been sprayed with any pesticides.Make sure you read everything and follow all the instructions. A liver cleanse is most important, as while taking oleander toxins will be released that the liver must filter out, and her liver is probably already damaged due to the chemo. While reading the Natural Anti-Cancer Protocol, pay special attention to the diet recommended. Most importantly, she should eliminate sugar, as cancer feeds on sugar. Here are the liver cleanse instructions:These other things are:(1) Cut back on ALL animal proteins (meat, milk, eggs, yoghurt, fish).(2) Get rid of stressful situations in your life(3) Put the traumatic situations in your past behind you otherwise they will surely kill you.(4) Go to bed by 10:30 pm(5) Drink enough water (6 - 8 glasses per day).(6) Eat lots of fresh fruit as well as vegetables.(7) Get at least half an hour of direct sun per day(8) Do the liver cleanse below5-day liver cleanse. It is best to have day 4 on a Saturday or at a time when you are staying at home.Day 1: Drink 1 liter (4 cups) of apple juice during the day. Eat as normal otherwise.Day 2: Drink another liter of apple juice. Eat normallyDay 3: Drink a 3rd liter of apple juice. Eat normallyDay 4: Do not take any sold food after lunch time * 6pm - Take one level tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water * 8pm - Take another tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water. You may find that you already have to take a trip to the toilet before the 8pm Epsom salt. * 10pm - Mix one half glass of olive oil and three quarter glass of freshly squeezed grape fruit juice by shaking it very well in a jar with a lid so that it mixes well and immediately get into bed after drinking the mixture. You will probably make more than one trip to the toilet during the night as well as during the next day.Day 5: * 6am: Take another tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water * 8am: Take one final tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water. You will find that many gallstones from the liver will be passed and one will notice them in the toilet. They will vary in size from about pin head size to 10mm. Gallstones in the liver are a major cause of many health problems. The above liver cleanse can be repeated every month until one finds that for two months in succession no more gallstones are passed. The liver will then be clean.(You can read about this in much more detail in Andreas Moritz's book ' "The liver and gallbladder miracle cleanse" which you can download from his site at www.ener-chi.com).I wish your friend the very best, and please keep me posted on her progress.Warm regards, oleander soup , "Ruella" <relewis wrote:>> I just joined today. and am very interested in this group.> My friend has had all the Chemo she can take for Lung Cancer. I have just joined this group. I'm an experienced soap maker, have made

some lotions and some body butters.

I am fascinated by herbs, essential oils and other things that heal.

However my knowledge is limited and I'm hoping the members of this list

will help me learn. I would like to make salves, ointments, etc that

heal the abuses that our skin takes, burns, scratches cuts etc. I know

from experience that Lavender and Tea Tree applied neat heal burns but

beyond that I'm a novice.

Thank you for allowing me to join this group.

cheers

Ruth
