Guest guest
Dear Janel and All; As time to follow up on these things is limited, I've been relying on sources I know have major financial vested interest also and are watching out for these legal implications. The essential oils company I work with has not sent this alert out, even though they are on these things (most of us have received many copies of this particular alert). Here is what they report which may give us all some ease, though the battle goes on: FDA Guidance Document Much e-mail has circulated recently encouraging people to complain to the FDA about its proposed Guidance Document 2006D-0480. Our legal team has reviewed the document and consulted with other companies in the industry. Our conclusion is that this document is merely a statement of the agency's current thinking and policy on DSHEA and complementary and alternative medicine. It is not creating any new law, regulation, or rule and thus has little impact on Young Living or on our access to natural health products. We do not believe that it is cause for concern. We continue to monitor the FDA's involvement in our industry and encourage everyone to take an active role in protecting their rights. There may be times when we ask you to join a particular response or communications campaign. While we do not believe that to be necessary at this time, you are always welcome to send comments to the FDA at www.fda.gov. For a more in-depth explanation, (available on their website, events section - the link did not transpose). Warm regards; Ysha > Fwd: VERY IMPORTANT--April 30th Bill to OUTLAW ALTERNATIVE HEALTH CARE in most cases
