I live in PA, but the school is in NJ. This is the closest option I

have at this time. I won't be leaving this area for a while due to

my husband's job. NYC is just out of the question for me (I'm a

whimpy country girl!)......

Hi Christine

My name is Janet and I have just recently joined this group to.

I have been doing crystal and semi precious stone layouts and working with them

for 25 years and I find it totally fascinating.

I do crystal therapy/healing sessions for people, I have had my own practice

since 1980 doing this, and I have not worked a day since then, doing what you

love you don't work! :)

Glad to see you here!

Good morning:

My name is Christine and I just wanted to take a moment and introduce

myself. I am very excited to join your group. I have been working

with stones and crystals for a few years now, but don't have anyone to

talk to concerning any questions or problems I may have. I work with

family and friends doing chakra stone layouts, something I " roughly "

learned about 10 years ago. I've been out of practice lately and am

looking forward to working with these energies again. I recently

purchased my first piece of selenite and am having wonderful results

with using it for energy blockages in the spine. I've also been

guided to begin carrying a piece of malachite that has done fantastic

things for my heart chakra and compassion.

I work in a law office and tend to " shut down " due to all of the

crummy energy that comes through here. I am wanting to put a basket of

stones on my desk to help with clients that come through and would

appreciate any suggestions. I tend to work with people going through

divorces, financial problems, drug addictions (lots of meth problems),

psychological and mental health issues (social security disabilty

clients - some of these are very severe), and physical pain. I had a

crystal sitting on my desk a couple of years ago and had it stolen, so

I've been reluctant to put anything out again, but lately I've been

feeling that this is something necessary to help our clients and to

help myself.

Again, I just can't tell you how excited I am to find a group of

people that enjoys stones as much as I do.

Blessings,

Christine

Hi Christine,

I wonder if you can solve this problem of " disappearing stones " by putting a

basket on your desk filled with small inexpensive tumbled stones. That way

if someone " needs " something you may have helped them and you aren't so much

out of pocket. You can clean them periodically if you find they are picking

up a lot of the energy debris floating around the office. Just give them a

scan to read if they are getting a little sludgy.

And welcome. :-)))

Oooooops. Christine, I got interrupted in reading your post and sent you an

email about putting a " basket on your desk " when you already had that idea.

LOL. See what happens when you have kids!!! Well, no excuse. What I

*meant* to say was maybe if you used small inexpensive stones in your basket

that wuold help defray the cost of the disappearing stones. Ah, well.

I'll go cook dinner now.

have you thought of wearing some stones

smoky quartz would be good for grounding and getting rid of the crummy

energy , Prehnite is very protective stone, garnet is good for stress, it is

the classic stone for stress. moonstone, and rose quartz are very calming

and if it were me I would get some of the tumbled stones that you can get a

bag of for 4$ and place them there. ask in your mind for the guidance for

the stones you need to help you in your office. you will get some that will

end up permanent fixtures.

you might even consider a fancy jar to place them in, so it looks

decorative, not highly valuable. Tigers eye is good for slowing enery you

dont want I would definately have that in the jar . just follow your

instincts.

hope this helps

have a happy and keep smiling

Hello,

New to the group, and I was curious as to what type of

crystals I would need for moving to Alaska, where it

will be dark for the next 5 months.

I already have a rose quartz and a crystal from an old

chandelier.

Moving to a very remote town in north Alaska.

Having a new job, new surroundings and a new time

zone.

Living in Ore. now. (Portland).

Anything would help.

Thank you!

Michael

It's very interesting that you would mention Prehnite, because I went

to a local stone shop today and bought a nice rough piece for myself,

not knowing why or its properties, just thought it looked very pretty.

There's a rock and mineral show this saturday in Omaha and I think

I'll gather some of the one's you've suggested there, where I can get

them a little more inexpensively. I've never kept stones in glass

jars, though, does that work well? I've always used wooden bowls or

baskets.

I do wear a nice citrine everyday and moonstone. They do help.

Thank you for the advice.

Hello, Michael,

What a wonderful adventure! Moving to Alaska! I would ask you to use what you

like and disregard the rest. First of all, citrine is jumping up and down, it

is a solar chakra power stone which would also bring light into your being, I am

thinging. Also the happy thoughts that citrine brings. Sunstone from the

Indian sub-continent is also twinkling at me. Lepidolite because it is a

combination of mica (sparkly happy happy mirror of self) and lithium, which is a

good emotion balancer. Smoky quartz and then hematite for grounding. And all

the clear quartz you can cram into your suitcase. I'd leave room for clothing,

but that is what I'd bring with me, if I were you. Singers would be of

assistance to you, I am thinking.

Best of luck!

Love, Light and Blessings to us all, Diana Endresen

Hi Ruth,

I am a member of this group and thought I would tell you some of my experiences

that may be of help to you. I am a Hypnotherapist and have a client with

Parkinson's Disease. I have found that EFT works very well with her. That stands

for Emotional Freedom Techniques and you can download the manual on Emofree.com

if you are not familiar with the modality. One of the things that I have found

is that my client has guilt and when we address that, the shaking/tremors

completely subside. You may want to think about any guilt that you may be

holding inside of you and you may want to find ways to release this. I hope that

this is of help to you and I wish you the very best.

Blessed not stressed,

Jonnata

Hi Lara, I have a testimonial on Conquering MS www.ginakopera.com . I have met people that have cured themselves of every kind of cancer, it is posssible. Another person that cured themselves of Breast Cancer is Dr Day go to her website. The people that I follow is Dr Schultz and Hulda Clarke the are both at www.curezone.com . If you have any question feel free to email me. Ginales_livres_que <les_livres_que wrote: hello, I am new to this list, please let me introduce myself...my name is Lara, I am a thirty year old American woman currently living in Scotland withmy new Irish husband (I have also lived in the San Francisco Bay area and grew up in New York

In the past I have been: macrobiotic, vegan, a naturalhygeinist, and a raw-foodist, among other things, but I currently to a more relaxeddietary philosophy loosely based on paleolithic nutrition and Dr.Mercola's "no Grain Diet". I have used and seen doctors proficient in: irridology, homeopathy, kineseology / muscle testing, acupuncture / Chinese medicine, colonic irrigation, naturopathy, and herbalism. My husband and I are fairly healthy and donot need to lose weight, but we do have some long-standing digestive andskin issues, and some food intolerances. I have generally assumed these problems areat least partially candida-related. Currently we are trying to conceive, and plan to home-school our future children.I just

recently found out that a relative of mine has a serious cancer. My husbands mother was cured ofbreast cancer through surgery and chemo (a botched job that left herwith a horrible infection that took ages to heal, she felt it did moreharm than good) and vitamin b-17 (laetrile) and bitter apricot seeds(where she thinks the real healing came from). I am currently hoping tofind some testimonials from others who have cured themselves of cancerthrough natural means, so that I can better advise my relative (wholives in Canada.) Because I have no prior personal experience with cancer in my family, I have done little research in this particular area. I am interested in laetrile/B-17 and the methods of Hulda Clark, but the jury's still out for me on whether these treatments have proved effective enough in cancer treatment to warrant my endorsement of them to my relative, who is not particularly experienced with

alternative health care. I know that if I were to be diagnosed with cancer tomorrow, my first approach to healing myself would be through fasting, supplementation, and a strict avoidance of all sugars and processed/ non-organic foods, but I do not have enough faith in the efiicacy of my own methods to recommend them to someone else in grave danger. I used to have that kind of conviction, but after 12 years of self-experimentation with diet, supplements, naturopaths, etc. I remain open, but less certain and more sceptical. I have always felt that when in doubt it is safest to stick with the natural and common-sensical ways things have traditionally been done in the past - farming, child-rearing, medicating, etc., and I fervantly hope that nature does hold the remedies for all ills in simple and accessable forms. Good books I have read recently: Phillip Day's "The Mind Game", and Richard Milton's "Alternative

Science".

Hi Lara, Welcome to . We are happy to have you join us. It sounds as though you bring good experiences with nutrition with you. I think you'll like us here!I ate a strict macrobiotic diet while I was going through my cancer treatment. I still try to stick as close as I can to that diet. I do alot of juicing as well. I have no experience with apricot pits. But something came up about apple seeds on another site I am invoved with. Even though they contain small amounts of cyanide like the apricot pits do, they are supposed to be good for people and effective in preventing cancer.I had colo-rectal cancer and was given less than six months to live. That was 4 years ago now and here I still am! I had to go through the most aggressive chemo and radiation treamtent available. The treatment should have killed me too. I guess the docs thought since I was going to die anyway it wouldn't hurt to kill me with the

treatment! I did alot of nutritional and alternative things on my own. My docs knew about all of them. When I had finished my treatment they told me the reason I survived both the cancer and the treatment was most certainly my nutrition. My radiation oncologist, Ph.D., even wrote a letter to that effect for my metabolic nutrition business. I have it laminated and carry it with me wherever I go.I consult with people on nutritional issues from obesity to cancer and everything in between. I also use and recommend the very best nutritional supplements available. Some would beg to differ with me. That is usually because they have used a supplement that gave them great benefits and they really believe in it, as I do with mine, or because they sell a nutritional product. But you'll find I didn't come here to sell anything because anyone who has a life threatening illness I will give my entire distributor discount to so they can get well as affordably as

possible. I'm on a mission to save lives, not make money. I make enough money from people whose lives aren't in immediate danger. That is my story. I have planned to re-post my cancer story since it was posted quite a while ago and people usually don't go far enough back into the archives to find it. Maybe something in my story may help you make some good recommendations for your loved ones with cancer. It is a horrible disease and often the treatment is even worse. But it is not a death sentence anymore. It can be. But it is survivable by those of us brave enough to take control of our own health through nutritional and alternative therapies. So welcome aboard. We look forward to sharing with you and learning from your knowledge and experience as well.Blessings, Reneeles_livres_que <les_livres_que wrote: hello, I am new to this list,

Hi, Lara. Welcome! I have lupus and have been improving using the Gerson Therapy (www.gerson.org) They have cured thousands of people from terminal cancer. It's a non-profit organization. If you're interested, you can read Charlotte Gerson's book "The Gerson Therapy", it's only about $12. On the website, they also sell Beata Bishop's book "A Time to Heal" (excellent account of how she completely healed from melanoma using the therapy). It is based on nutrition, juicing, all natural things, but it is potent. Let me know if you need more info. Best, Amelia

Currently we are trying to conceive, and plan to home-school our future children.I just recently found out that a relative of mine has a serious cancer. I am interested in laetrile/B-17 and the methods of Hulda Clark, but the jury's still out for me on whether these treatments have proved effective enough in cancer treatment to warrant my endorsement of them to my relative, who is not particularly experienced with alternative health care. Good books I have read recently: Phillip Day's "The Mind Game", and Richard Milton's "Alternative Science".

HI Gina, I am always referring people to your website. I hope they are going there. I looked at your fasting journal. It is great. I also am going to try your $2000 bath! Everyone here knows I do liver and colon detoxing and oral chelation all the time. But this bath sounds amazing. I absolutely must try it, if only to satisfy my own curiosity as to what color the clay will turn out to be for me! I will let you know. Where did you buy your clay?Blessings, ReneeGina Kopera <ginakopera1 wrote: Hi Lara, I have a testimonial on Conquering MS www.ginakopera.com .

---hi jay

and a welcome

advice -lots of it

a good starter of the many principles of health is utilise massage

therapy and share your knowledge

here is why

Here are some reported benefits of massage:

Research in massage therapy has been ongoing for more than 120

years.

Here are some reported benefits of massage:

Preliminary results suggested cancer patients had less pain and

anxiety after receiving therapeutic massage at the James Cancer

Hospital and Research Institute in Columbus, Ohio.

Women who had experienced the recent death of a child were less

depressed after receiving therapeutic massage, according to

preliminary results of a study at the University of South Carolina

Medical school students at the University of Medicine and Dentistry

of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School who were massaged before an

exam showed a significant decrease in anxiety and respiratory rates.

as well as a significant increase in white blood cells and natural

killer cell activity, suggesting a benefit to the immune system

Studies funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) have found

massage beneficial in improving weight gain in HIV-exposed infants

and facilitating recovery in patients who underwent abdominal

surgery. At the University of Miami School of Medicine's Touch

Research Institute, researchers have found that massage is helpful

in decreasing blood pressure in people with hypertension,

alleviating pain in migraine sufferers and improving alertness and

performance in office workers.

An increasing number of research studies show massage reduces heart

rate, lowers blood pressure, increases blood circulation and lymph

flow, relaxes muscles, improves range of motion, and increases

endorphins (enhancing medical treatment). Although therapeutic

massage does not increase muscle strength, it can stimulate weak,

inactive muscles and, thus, partially compensate for the lack of

exercise and inactivity resulting from illness or injury. It also

can hasten and lead to a more complete recovery from exercise or

injury.

Research has verified that:

Office workers massaged regularly were more alert, performed better

and were less stressed than those who weren't massaged.

Massage therapy decreased the effects of anxiety, tension,

depression, pain, and itching in burn patients.

Abdominal surgery patients recovered more quickly after massage.

Premature infants who were massaged gained more weight and fared

better than those who weren't.

Autistic children showed less erratic behaviour after massage

therapy.

According AMTA, massage helps both physically and mentally.

" Often times people are stressed in our culture. Stress-related

disorders make up between 80-and-90 percent of the ailments that

bring people to family-practice physicians. What they require is

someone to listen, someone to touch them, someone to care. That does

not exist in modern medicine.

One of the complaints heard frequently is that physicians don't

touch their patients any more. Touch just isn't there. Years ago

massage was a big part of nursing. There was so much care, so much

touch, so much goodness conveyed through massage. Now nurses for the

most part are as busy as physicians. They're writing charts, dealing

with insurance notes, they're doing procedures and often there is no

room for massage any more.

I believe massage therapy is absolutely key in the healing process

not only in the hospital environment but because it relieves stress,

it is obviously foundational in the healing process any time and

anywhere. "

Joan Borysenko - Massage Journal Interview, Fall 1999

Physical Benefits of Therapeutic Massage

Massage also provides another therapeutic component largely absent

in today's world: tactile stimulation, or, more simply, touch. In

1986, the Touch Research Institute at the University of Miami

published groundbreaking research on the effects of massage on

premature babies. The preterm babies who received massage therapy

showed 47% greater weight gain and six-day shorter hospital stays

than the infants who were not receiving massage. But is this study

evidence of what loving touch can do spiritually, or rather what

massage can do on a physiological level? Regardless, babies are not

the only benefactors

Helps relieve stress and aids relaxation

Helps relieve muscle tension and stiffness Alleviates discomfort

during pregnancy

Fosters faster healing of strained muscles and sprained ligaments;

reduces pain and swelling; reduces formation of excessive scar tissue

Reduces muscle spasms Provides greater joint flexibility and range

of motion

Enhances athletic performance; Treats injuries caused during sport

or work

Promotes deeper and easier breathing Improves circulation of blood

and movement of lymph fluids

Reduces blood pressure Helps relieve tension-related headaches and

effects of eye-strain

Enhances the health and nourishment of skin Improves posture

Strengthens the immune system Treats musculoskeletal problems

Mental Benefits of Massage Therapy

Fosters peace of mind Promotes a relaxed state of mental alertness

Helps relieve mental stress Improves ability to monitor stress

signals and respond appropriately

Enhances capacity for calm thinking and creativity Emotional Benefits

Satisfies needs for caring nurturing touch Fosters a feeling of well-

being

Reduces levels of anxiety Creates body awareness Increases awareness

of mind-body connection

Emotional Level benefits

Feeling of well-being

Reduced levels of anxiety

Increased awareness of mind-body connection

Enhanced self image

A sense of being unified and in harmony
