Dear SrI Chakravarthy :

 

If your wife is not close in her delivery date

to the VarshAbhdheekam , I do not see why

you could not perfrom the SrArddham .From

your description , it looks like there is one month's

gap . Please consult with your wife's doctor

about the proximity of the delivery date to

Aabdheekam date so you can decide .

 

If there are health conditions that warrant not to

do it at this time , you can postpone it to

the next permissible date after your wife delivers

the child .This is allowed .

 

I suggest that you telephone Sri NVS Swamy

to get a fix on those alternate dates .

Respected sir,

 

I have small query , Please can you answer

 

1) I am kartha of my family ( 1st son for my father) .. My father's varsha abdikam (annual ceremony) is likely to be this month. ////

 

now coming to my main doubt is .. my wife is pregnant...and 8 months old.....can i perform this abdikam.....if any regulations kindly mail me the details.

Dear Sir,On any reason you should not postpone the Varushapthikam.You should arrange for it for the particular dates. Oona Apthikam is having time upto 15 days, so you do it well before the delivery date.If the delivery takes place on or before the day of Varushapthikam, you should do it on 11th day.

i have a doubt. my mother's varshabdhigam is from 22nd to 24th of this month. and oona abdigam on the 18th. what are the rules that are to be followed for the oona abdigam. please help.
