pranam to all gurujans!

i have a question what is meant by kumbha vivaha and why is this done?

what is the right method

(1) marrying to lord vishnu

(2)or marrying the plaintain tree and then cutting it down?

how many priests should do this and when should this be done?

waiting for your replies!

thanks

dear friend

when a person has vaidhvya yoga or widowhood and also in those cases

where there could be second spouse yoga, the native marries first to

a pot treated as vishnu. ghat vivah or kumbh vivah are one and the

same. recently some people are performing marriages with a banana or

peepal tree and are cutting down these trees after marriage.

personally i do not endorse the above as both banana and peepal trees

are related to jupiter and felling these trees deliberately to remove

a dosham would only be sacrilege and a sin.

instead, if the native worships a peepal tree and do pradakshinam to

that tree daily, the native would get positive blessings from jupiter.

recently some astrologers have started recommending this ghat or

kumbh vivah even for simple manglik doshams.

hence natives shall weigh the positives and negatives before doing

any such ritual.

with best wishes and blessings

thanks for the reply!

what should be done with the pot after the marriage is over?

how many pandits should be there?

when should it be done in day time or in the night?

who should be there when the kumbha vivah is performed?
