Have you done a thorough study of the Koran? And have you done a thorough study of the Gita? There is no comparison. They are vastly different in the knowledge they present. Furthermore, you have to understand the purpose of universal spiritual truths, which are presented in the Vedic teachings such as the Gita. Universal Spiritual Truths are those truths which can be applied at anytime, anywhere, by anyone, regardless of their background. Whereas those religions that are not entirely based on such truths often emphasize the traditions of a particular locality and community, thus propounding the idea that only they are correct or going to heaven, while all others are wrong and going to hell. You will find this latter idea presented many times throughout the Koran, where it is emphasized that only Muslims are going to heaven, all others are going to hell, and they should be treated as such. You cannot compare the Gita with the Koran in the universality of the teachings that are provided. Hari Om and Hari bol, Stephen Knapp In a message dated 2/13/2009 11:52:53 A.M. The common points need be highlighted, not the differences. The gitas message is not necessarily better than the korans.According to soul evolution, one angle of truth appeals to one people, one country and region. For the duck, water seems best and for the horse, the pasture land is the best. The duck need not tie itself into knots to adapt to pasture land.God made it a duck and he takes to water and fulfils his role in creation. The duck needs to just recognise that the horse too is part of gods creation and should learn and make efforts to co-exist.
