Krishna Guruvayoorappa,I am residing at Gwalior, about 170 km. away from Mathura. I have visited Mathura two times. From Mathura Rly. station, about 3-4 km. away, you can see the jail, where Lord Krishna was born. In the back side of the jail, there is a mosque built during the Mugal era. Near the jail, a temple which has been built by ISKON is also worth visiting. The beautiful Idols of this temple are Radha & Krishna. Other places near Mathura town is Vrindavan and Goverdhan parvatham. Devotees are conducting parikrama of Goverdhan Parvatham. May Lord Krishna bless you.SukuGwalior.--- On Sat, 27/3/10, Upama. As far as i know, one has to walk about 28 kms. for conducting the parikrama of Goverdhan Parvatham. Normally the parikrama is done during "Poornima". As far as the birth place of Lord krishna is concerned, it is open for everyday. However, the ISKON temple will close at 12.00 noon for some hours, hence try to reach there in the morning itself.May Guruvayoorappan bless you.By suku, Gwalior.--- On Sun, 28/3/10, Upama.
