My birth details are:

Date - 2nd November 1977

Time - 2027 hrs (8:27 PM)

Place - Calcutta, India

 

Gender - Female

 

I am currently in the usa on the east coast, professionally employed after pursuing a masters degree. My parents and my younger brother live in Calcutta.

 

I have posted this thread primarily for three reasons -

 

1) I am currently in love with a man who is not from my same caste, whom I met here in the usa, and he loves me very much too. But my parents and my brother are not happy with my decision to marry him since a) he is not from our caste b) he is also settled here and not in India, and c) he is currently unemployed after attaining a masters degree in the usa. My parents and my brother do not want me to marry him, and have been asking me to return to India and marry someone there, and live close to them, and since I am not agreeable to this (though I would love to live close to them since I love them all very much) there is a lot of tension and stress in my relationship with them. Please advise if they will agree to our marriage decision soon, and will accept us and bless us both, and when will that fortunate day come.

 

2) I am currently employed with a firm which has been laying off for the last almost two years now. Fortunately, I am safe as of now, but can't say that about my future. Kindly advise if I will likely face unemployment soon, and will I likely find a new job in the usa thereafter soon.

 

3) I had been told long back when I was in India that I might have progeny related problems, either at birth time, or in my relationship with them since in my astrological chart I have Sun debilitated in the fifth house along with Mercury, my Lagna Lord. Please advise if this is true, and what nature and severity of problem will I most likely face.

 

A few events in my past which might be of any help: I did my bachelors from a reputed Engineering University in India from July 1996 to June 2001. Period from January 2001 to mid 2003 was some struggle along with very average results. Thereafter, I came to the usa in the fall of 2003, and graduated from masters program in fall of 2004; first job from fall of 2004 lasted only a few months, and thereafter from my second job onwards from February 2005, and specially since March 2006, things have been better on the professional front.

 

I will be very grateful to all of you who take out the time to read my thread, analyze my chart, and provide their respectworthy guidance. Please also suggest any prayers/remedies I must do for each/all of the above problems. I will also appreciate if you could guide me and let me know if there is anything noteworthy in my chart.

Although I will like to indicate few things in your chart.

 

Mars, venus and Sun are debilitated in 2H, 4H and 5H respectively and rule 6H-11H; 12H-5H; 3H respectively. Although Mars getting considerable Neechbhanga, But Sun and Venus are not getting considerable neechbhanga effect. Jupiter and venus also debilitated in D9. 7L is retrograde in Lagna in enemy's house.4H is occupied by Gullika. Jupiter is Badhakesh and Functional malefic in Lagna. also it qualify for maraka grah for your chart.

 

2) You are currently running Dasha of Budh-Moon-Budh. Your moon is strong and vargottma and a friend of Mercury hence increasing good energy of self and mercury both. Time for profession is good for atleast 2013 start. You will be confident, more creative and valuable for your company for this time. Also if things goes well you may see a promotion or a raise in job. Your chart shows that you are most probably related with computer engineering and your efficiency has increased in recent months. But I see more opportunities for you away from your homecountry than in your homecountry.

 

3) fOr your progeny, problems are indicated as Venus lord of 5H is also debilitated and not getting much benefic aspects besides position of sun in 5H. But I think if remedies performed sincerely we can expect better in this relation and hope for better. Another thing is that progeny is related to both husband and wife, so husband's placement of planets can also help us.

 

1) Problems in marriage is indicated but I was not able to interpret that whether a lovemarriage is sure or not. Iam getting mxed combinations. Retro planets are hard to predict expecially which are contradictory in their natural and functional nature. I hope opinion of senior astrologers can help you better and I suggest to follow remedies as suggested by senior astrologers.

I reviewed your chart for your queries.

Here are my responses.

 

With regard to your current relationship and future prospects.

The lagna has a retrograde Jupiter and Moon placed in it in strength. Quite an good combination. Jupiter as the lord of 7 (spouse, relations) and 10 and Moon as the lord of 2 (family) indicates that there is a lot of attachment and love towards these aspects of your life.

 

Rasi UL has debilitated Mars in the 7th - indicating some light opposition from your younger brother.

 

In the Navamsa - Jup® and Ketu in the lagna but Rahu in the 7th is indicative of marital life involving other backgrounds, cultures or religion - Rahu is usually indicative of outsiders, foreigners - Though it does not apply verbatim - but some difference in backgrounds.

 

Using Sun's progression in the Navamsa - I would guess that this relationship started and matured during the current year after Nov 2008. In the same progression of Jup in the Rasi - the Jup is now placed in your UL - indicative of your intentions to take this relation to the next level. Jupiter in UL or in the 2nd from UL is quite auspicious for marriage.

 

Not sure if you are looking for any dates for wedding - but that would still be about little more than a year away - around Dec 2010 - Using Dwisaptati Sama dasa Merc/Sat.

But there are certain aspects related to my extended family, and certain issues causing disharmony/agony/mistrust among our big extended family, that I don't really like spending much time there, even though I miss my parents and my younger brother, and some of my cousins and relatives a lot. However, I really like to make the most of my visit there every year. But this year was different, since I approached my parents with the topic of my marriage with this person I found here in the usa. And everything just changed. They have been very upset, and angry with me about this decision, and want me to return to India for good, and marry someone from our caste/state, and settle there. I can't really get myself to agree with them, since I have been quite independent about my many decisions in life so far, and thankfully they have supported me thus far. Also, I don't really believe I must marry someone for our caste/state, and last but not least, I really like and love this person, and do hope and pray to God that I marry him at the earliest. You are right about the fact that my younger brother is also opposed to this decision of mine. Nonetheless, the boy's parents and siblings and the entire family is very happy with us, and have already accepted me in their family. Its just that the boy is quite adamant about finding a good job, and only then getting married, and that too after visiting my parents and asking them for my hand. I am not sure if they will agree but he wants to ask them, and get their blessings too. He is quite religious and spiritual and believes that he's causing a disharmony/separation between me and my family, and wants to correct that, and offer his best respects to my parents. I am quite at ease with various softwares as they help me do my job more efficiently and be more productive.

 

As per your analysis, Jupiter is a Badhakesh and a functional malefic in Lagna, and may qualify as a maraka graha for me...I apologize but I don't understand the implications of this for me. Could you please enlighten me regarding the implications of this occurance in my chart?

 

My Budh-Mangal period starts somewhere in the beginning of 2010. Kindly advise if this period will be good/bad for me, considering Mangal is in a Neech rashi in my chart, although you have mentioned that it gets considerable neechbhanga. Does it grace certain aspects of my life while spoil certain other aspects for me?

 

I am really worried about our marriage, as we are really keen to be married to each other as soon as he finds a good job, but my family is still not agreeable to this. I am just praying to God everyday that with His Grace this changes in the next few weeks/months, and we get married with both his and my parents' blessings. His parents and family are very happy with our association, and have accepted me as a family member already. Is there any Puja I need to do to improve this condition?

 

With regards progeny, I agree with you that husband's chart is equally important as wife's to assess the event. I think since we are quite far from that right now, I will try not be worried about this right now.

Once again I am very grateful to you for providing your esteemed guidance and advice to me. Since this forum is becoming read only soon, I will be much obliged if you could kindly provide your invaluable advice regarding these issues:

 

1). My moon is almost at the cusp of Gemini and Cancer, some say it is Gemini while others say it is Cancer, could you kindly throw light on this, whether it is Gemini or Cancer? If it helps, I am more of a happy, chirpy person who doesn't like to be bogged down much...although I may be sensitive to some issues sometimes, I usually get out of bad moods quickly, and revert to my normal happy self.

 

2). Rahu in my 4th House and Ketu in my 10th House, although in good signs, are they going to harm the significations/results of these Houses? Is there any remedy for them in order to protect the significations of these Houses?

 

3). My Mercury-Mars period will start from January 2010, will this be a good/bad period for me? Is there anything you would advise me to do during/prior to that period?

 

4). Since Venus is debilitated both in Rasi and Navamsha, what does it signify? Does it mean my love/married life will not be good? Is there any upaya to improve this condition?
