Shankara's Works

the bhakti 'movement' was existing when Prahlada used to dance among his classmates and urge everyone to sing the glories of the lord millions and millions of years ago.

The Bhakti 'movement' was certainly present when Nimbaditya imparted teachings of Sri Radha Krsna as handed down by the four kumaras, way back in 3000bc.

the bhakti 'movement' began when Brahmadeva emerged from the lotus from the navel of Sri Narayana and sang praises to the Supreme Lord.

The process of sadhana bhakti is nowhere found in any saivite, etc scriptures.(that doesn't mean that devotion to Shankara,Devi performed in accordance with the bhagavata sampradaya shouldn't award Manidvipa or Shivaloka in Vaikuntha.)

rush for a patent and design a trademark......................

are you saying that Bhakti marga/upasana marga as described in the vedas could be corroborated with the revelations of Shaiva,Shakta texts ???

If yes,then I'm only happy.

But I doubt.

Vaishno devi,

Pashupatinath...

people only with desires go there...Then there are the khopda babas who smoke ganja, etc. Then there are people who are after kundalini...

all these ways do not describe the epicentre as the Personal form of Bhagavan(read: Durga,Shankara).

The nayanmars are certainly an exceptional case...reflecting the fact that Lord Shankara does have associates in the Spiritual world(Ganas, nandi etc.)...

But i see no reason as to why "Shaivas" or "shaktas" have anything to offer on bhakti...

Their traditions are rooted deeply in mayavaad and nonsense theories like "Shiva is Jeeva etc."

Just a small observation. Saiva worship is as old as Vaishnavism. And many members in this forum seem to associate Sankaracharya and his Maya theory with Saivism.

This is absolutely wrong. Sankaracharya was a proponent of Adavita. He was not a Saiva. His theories when against the basic tenets of Saivism.

You can get an idea of Saivism by googling for Saiva Saiddhanta or looking at some of the sites here.

Recorded history can not be compared with Puranic legends.

What is nonsense depends on the viewer. Entire Hinduism has been called nonsense and worse by non-Hindus.

It reminds of the attitude of people for whom

What they believe is Belief.

What others believe is superstition or worse.

The Puranas are full of stories of Shiva granting boons to Asuras/Rakshasas and any one who pleases him and Vishnu rushing in to protect the Devas from the consequences of Shiva's boons.

Shiva granted boons to all the Bhakthas irrespective of their being humans, Asuras or Rakshasas. But Vishnu always acted as the protector of the interest of the Devas.

All over India Hindus believe that Shiva is a GOD who is easy to please and will grant boons to Bhakthas.

Devotion to GOD is a universal phenomena and not the exclusive privilege of any one religion.

Saiva worship is as old as Vaishnavism.

Let it be.It seems nobody except you is interested to establish dates from "recorded history".

Recorded history can not be compared with Puranic legends.

Ohh i see.Can you date Rama avathar from "recorded history" ?.

What others believe is superstition or worse.

Oh yes, as you have just now explained that superstition with "recorded history".

.

That many non-hindus call hinduism as nonsense is known.

The important thing is where do you, Kali_upasaka, stand?.

Do you think you have the wherewithal to prove them wrong?.
