Kali_Upasaka 1 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 From my limited reading of the Vedas, there is no mention about Kula Devatas.
suvarchas 1 Report post Posted June 21, 2009 What is the Significance\Importance of a Kuldevta as per Vedas ? Kul devatha is to do more with traditions than with Shastras. It depends on family practices and pradeshachar and not related to Vedas
avimonk 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2012 The God principle in Krishna or Narayan is so high that the average person in Kaliyug cannot comprehend or bear his shakti. Hence it is imperative for people to pray to Kula Devta and make fast spiritual progress and get to a level where he can get grace directly from Shree Krishna. Kuldevta is also an extension of The God himself so all prayer to Kul Devta is finally redirected to Krishna himself and grace flows through the Kuldevta.
