Full Chandi path or not

Someone recommended that I read the following instead of Chandi path fully.

 

1) Argala stotram

2) Kilakam

3) Devi Kavacam

4) Siddha kunjika stotram

5) Aparadha kshmapan stotram.

 

Can I read these since I did not recieve it from a Guru?

I am a male and belong to the Vysya class.

It is better to get the full upadesha from a Guru. Guru is the living form of the mantra you receive- so it is fully effective. Also the Guru will take you along a path to your goal. The alternative is much more dangerous and difficult. Gurus may not give you the Chandi immediately, but may ask you to do something else beforehand... But this is so you are ready to receive the grace of Chandi in Her form when you start..

 

There is no caste/class/age/sex or any such distinctions in tantra. They go against the very spirit of sadhana/upasana and such distinctions are a block to the serious aspirant.

What happens to people who are not in access to a Guru like me who is in USA?

 

Is there anything wrong in reading the kavacam, kilakam & argala stotram only?

If you really want to know what shastras say about taking mantras by oneself.They describe it as a son born to out of illegal means who can do no rites to his father

Yes. You can. These are Stotras which do not require initiation.
