Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu recovered a part of the unfortunately lost text of Sri Brahma-Samhita, fifth Chapter, on the banks of the Payasvini River while touring South India. He then visited Payasvini, Srngavera-puri-matha and Matsya-tirtha. At the village of Udupi He saw the Gopala Deity installed by Sri Madhvacarya. He then defeated the Tattvavadis in sastric conversation. (Madhya-lila 9)

In 5.40 of Brahma-Samhita it says, just like from the sunshine the planets in our universe are created, similarly from brahmajyoti, innumerable universes are created.

 

"But we get this knowledge directly from Brahma-saṁhitā. What is that? Yasya prabhā prabhavato jagad-aṇḍa-koṭi [Bs. 5.40] By the effulgence, glaring effulgence of the rays of the body of Krishna, yasya prabhā prabhavato [Bs. 5.40], there are innumerable universes. We cannot study even one universal position, but we get information from this Brahma-saṁhitā that there are innumerable universes. And in each and every universe there are innumerable planets. Yasya prabhā prabhavato jagad-aṇḍa-koṭi [Bs. 5.40]. Jagad-aṇḍa means universe, and koṭi means hundreds and thousands. One hundred times of one hundred thousand. That means innumerable. There are innumerable universes—innumerable suns, innumerable moons, innumerable planets. So this is being possible in the effulgence, brahmajyoti, of Krishna. Krishna’s bodily effulgence is called brahmajyoti. It is stated in the Bhagavad-gītā, brāhmaṇaḥ ahaṁ pratiṣṭhā. The brahmajyoti… Those who are jñānīs, those who are trying to approach the Absolute Truth by mental speculation, by dint of our teeny knowledge, they can, utmost, approach to this brahmajyoti. But that brahmajyoti is only emanation of the bodily effulgence of Krishna. Yasya prabhā prabhavato [Bs. 5.40]. "

"I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, whose effulgence is the source of the nondifferentiated Brahman mentioned in the Upaniṣads, being differentiated from the infinity of glories of the mundane universe appears as the indivisible, infinite, limitless, truth." As stated in Srimad-Bhagavatam, yogis who seek the impersonal aspect of the Supreme Lord may merge into that effulgent light—however, only to fall back later to the material world.

 

Srila Prabhupada: "Those in the brahmajyoti", he wrote, "are not Krishna conscious". So there is no question of falling down from a fallen condition. When fall takes place, it means falling down from the non-fallen condition.”
