Do Golokians remember life in material world?

Rate this topic

Gpas and gopis in Golok treat Krsna as their friend. They are full of bliss. Do they remember various hardships that they faced when they were in the material world? One answer can be that they forget their lives in material world and therefore they do not feel sad over it. Another answer could be that they do remember but now that they are in Golok, they are not worried over what happened to them in the material world.

Golokians love Krsna and they are not in awe of Him. Another question is do they know that Krsna creates the entire universe which just a fraction of His energy? One answer could be that they do not know and therefore they are not in awe of Him. Another answer could be that they know but Krsna being their friend is important for them and Krsna being Supreme is of no significance to them.

What do you all think?

Why would you want to in the face of the eternal present. You may have a nightmare in your present body or dream you are with a beautiful women, but as soon as you wake up you realize it was only a dream, it's was not real. In the presents of who you really are, the material dreamland means nothing because you are more interested in being totally absorbed in serving Krishna

The fact is that they will surely not be concerned about the material life at all. Material world is temporary and gets destroyed from time to time and hence true only to the extent when it is used for Krishna's service.

Surely the most important significance of Goloka is that the mood of awe and reverence is conspicuous by it's absence. Therefore the only thing that the Gopas and Gopis are aware of is that Krishna is their friend, brother, son, or a lover. Nothing else for sure :-)

When you play a friendly game of soccer with your friends, do you think that the result of the game (score) is completely irrelevant? Not really. This is not what you are thinking about. In the same way liberated souls CAN think about the past, but they DON'T. Deep down they know Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but to them He is just a best friend. It is not all that hard to understand. Knowledge and emotions dont have to go together all the time.

When people are yearning to get the mercy of attaining pure love of Krishna it is surely because they remember that previously they were situated in an eternal relationship with the Supreme Lord. But somehow this state of eternal bliss got temporarily interrupted.:crying2:

Nightmares in Goloka?[/quote]

My quote of nightmare is only an analogy and is also further explained as follows.

Due to the free will every marginal living entity has, each can choose to either remain in the 'eternal present' of Goloka or Vaikuntha as who they really are serving Krishna, or they can imagine, think, dream or visualize a world of their own without Krishna. That world they visualise is provided by Krishna via His Maha-Vishnu expansion and is called the mahat-tattva.

While in the mahat-tattva the living entity dreams of so many different bodies, some are enjoyable while others are nightmarish. Such illusional realities, that are real but temporary, only occur within the mahat-tattva however, it is a fact that while we are dreaming within the mahat-tattva, we are actually ALWAYS in Goloka or Vaikuntha.

As Srila Prabhupada says - "We are actually never fallen, we only 'dream' or 'think' we are fallen". That dream state is called the nitya-baddha and it is that 'consciousness' that experiences the temporary pains, nightmares and pleasures while the living entity continues to forget Krishna and who 'we' really are, which is nitya-siddha devotees of Krishna eternally.

Asked and answered, the lawyer will object. Krsna remembers all, no one else, even Arjuna, remembers. Arjuna was Nara previously, Ramananda Raya was the great bowman.

Does Johnny Depp remember Edward Scissorshand or 21 Jump Street?

What, when ya get back to goloka, youre still wondering if roger clemens took steroids? Or if Hillary will cackle her way to the white house?

If, by assumption, a golokian remembered the material world, he would be in the material world. This is confirmed by all the fall stories in the puranic histories. Gods become men because they think of the human world. This is how King Bhisma was born, a couple of gods wanted to think of the material world, and while they werent from goloka, Siddhaloka is the spiritual world for all intents and purposes.
