Hi Arjun

The actual pronounciation is "Shree Ram".

"Sh" as in shia

"Ree" as in Riya

the "sh" and "r" sound do not have a gap, its mor elike saying " Shr ee"

i hope it helps. havent seen u at FFI ina long time.

Thanks. I plan to come back to FFI. Just needed to leave for a while (it was getting progessively worse).

So just to be clear, I don't roll the "r" in "Shree"? I would pronounce the "r" as a do in "road" (no roll, as if I was speaking English) or as I would in "rupiya" (a roll, as if I was speaking Hindi)?

Let us first understand how to pronounce sh of shree. Make your tongue lightly touch the lower palate (palate just behind teeth) and then pronounce sh. Keeping tongue in that position pronounce sh and immediately after that r in such a way that the two sounds appear as conjoined.

actually for a non indian its difficult to pronounce. "r" is attached to "sh" sound.its normal "r" sound as in road.

if you are aware of Indian surnames then its like "shr" in Mishra

I really liked your testimonial at FFI and your struggle with abrahamic faiths. how has been the journey as a sanatan dharmi?
