Sat Nam

I would like to present one my query that is

Which is the right way for Mantra Chanting?

1) Chanting mantra loudly or 2) chanting mantra in mind

I followed both the techniques my observation is that, while chanting

mantra in mind some of the thought enter in mind and while chanting

loudly I get more and more energy, Could any one tell me which method is

best

Sat Nam!

There are three ways to vibrate a mantra (starting from the less effective

from the more effective): loudly, whispered and silently (two other ways are

writing the mantra and the spontaneus chant).

Especially when our mind is not so firm, chanting loudly helps us to easier

find the concentration, but when our mind is firm enough we can use the

other two ways unless the risk to see our attention fly where she prefers

:-)

[i hope you can understand my italian-english explication!!!]

Yeah sure there are three ways to chant the mantra. According to the people in Mantra Sadhana, chanting in the mind is the best one and I've conme through the perosons who can chant more than 50 rounds of a rosary per 5 minutes, mantra like Gayatri and the same length. It is possible only when we practice chanting in our mind. Yes it's hard at first but later you'll find it's a cake.

Remember to keep on chanting mantra even in the sleep.

I read in one book by Swami Chinmayananda that - chant mentally but as if you are chanting loudly, keep on increasing the tone mentally and when you reach the peak at once stop chanting. Then try to absorb yourself in that silence. Am curious if anybody here follows this technique?

Techniques are built personally...the most relied are the former ones.

Manasik Japa is the best one.

Mantra Japa is the basic form and the Meditation is the second. Keep on doing Manasa Japa, one day you'll reach the state of meditation, at that moment you won't need Mantra Japa anymore. As Mantra Japa is to purify us through vibrations to relate us to the higher gounds.
