By Goloka I meant to refer to the Earthly manifestaion. Do you mean to say that you believe in the Spiritual Sky there is need of varnashram and animal sacrifice?

HI Theist ,

NO - THERE IS NO NEED OF ANYTHING IN THE SPIRITUAL SKY- -BUT THERE IS "VARNASHRAM " IN THE SPIRITUAL SKY...EG YOU HAVE THE COWHERDS BOYS AND GIRLS YOU HAVE THE WASHERMAN AND GOLDSMITH AND YOU HAVE THE BRAHMINS ECT ECT- - ALL TENDING TO THE LORD IN THEIR VARIOUS CAPACITIES---

NO THERE IS NO ANIMAL SACRIFICES IN THE SPIRITUAL GOLOK BUT IT EXIST IN THE MATERIAL WORLD...AND AS I SAID THE MATERIAL WORLD IS ETERNAL

THANKS

jaswant

varna-ashrama so there are renuciate sannyasis also in the Spiritual Sky.

Animal slaughter is a temporary activity with a temporary hope of a temporay reward. Therefore it is not an eternal activity. Yes I accept the temporary world with it's temporary demigods etc to be ever manifesting and then returning to a manifested state per the actions of Vishnu. No reason to call any temporay activity that occurs therein eternal however.

The only activity that is eternal comes from Bhakti.

Cutting vegetables is not Himsa. There is no real consciousness in plants and trees, although there is life in them. There is life in plants, sensation in animals, mentality in human beings and spirituality in sages. There is no Visesha Ahankara and reflection of Chaitanya in plants and trees. Hence they cannot experience pain. The tree will not say, "I am experiencing pain". The mind in plants and trees is not developed. It is quite rudimentary. It is Jada and insentient. Life on earth will be impossible if we take cutting vegetables also as Himsa. This is only splitting the hairs. This is the idle philosophy of those who take interest in vain discussions and arguments.

What about other religions who condone the eating of meat?

Would they not consider their dominion over the plants and the animals a viable explanation? They have absolutely no reason to refrain from eating meat.

Actually they have a reason to not kill animals for food. Compassion, Ahimsa, Mercy.

Simply the adherents are not elevated enough to understand that compassion ahimsa and mercy belong to every bone fide spiritual path.

Dominion is an interesting concept the Christians always use to justify their lust for animal flesh. They quote the first chapter in Genesis to back up their claims. But when we read that chapter we see that the Elohim (which they translated as God although it is plural) gave the instruction from the that man was given a vegan diet to live on.

In any case where is the religious book that says one MUST kill animals for food? The most they can say is that they have a choice. So even accepting that (which I don't) we can ask Why do you choose to kill animals needless for food and cause them so much suffering? The only answer they can give is that they like the taste. So their sense pleasure overides the animals right to live out it's life and has no regard for their suffering.

That is not a symptom of real spiritual understanding.
