Fraud Goshalas

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

Goshalas nowadays have become a cheating business. "Devotees" who run these goshalas, have become money-minded and their sole aim in running these goshalas is to make money and not really care for Krishna's cows. Goshala means taking care of cows, serving cows unconditionally even if they stop giving milk, even if they are a drain on our resources, etc.

One important point: What about the bulls and bull calves?

Many "devotees" sell them inorder not to incur a loss. If the goshala has a land to be ploughed then the bulls may be useful. If not, they just eat and eat for their whole life and the people who run the goshala are duty bound to feed them the whole life. So whatever money that is earned from selling cow's milk will be spent in feeding the bulls and bull calves. So debauchee-devotees sell the bull-calves to some "like-minded" people. In other words, the bull calves end up in slaughter houses indirectly.

So ultimately it is impossible to run a goshala for business or profit. What ever money comes from cow's milk will be spent on feeding the bulls. That's why Krishna uses the word, "go-raksya" [bg. 18.44]. It means cow-protection. So by protecting cows one serves cows. There is no chance of making a business by goshalas unless and otherwise the bull-calves are sold or no cow gives birth to bull-calves (which is highly unlikely).

These materialistic money minded theives in the guise of devotees, run the goshalas. No wonder some or even many of these goshalas are run by so-called followers of Srila Prabhupada. For example, the "devotees" at http://www.krsnamvande.org/goshala.html boast as follows: "We have the Goshala built with six cow houses each capable of accommodating 16 cows. But at the moment we have 25 female calves, 9 pregnant cows, 14 full grown mother cows, 5 milking cows. We plan to augment the stock of cows to one hundred and eight by Dec 2005."

My question is: Where are the bulls and bull calves? Stolen? or sold to slaughter houses? The goshalas that show only cows, female calves, pregnant cows, mother cows, milking cows and no bulls or bull calves are cheating goshalas, fraud goshalas run by debauchee-devotees who make a show of dharma or protecting cows but run them to make money.

Sincere devtoees should be beware of these debauchees.

Going for the root of this deviating development is of course those who provide knowledge - the brahmins. A goshala is the result of steps that have to be taken - one by one. You cant just open a goshala in the middle of a kali-yuga society without having fullfilled basic requirements first.

Devotees join a temple and become fully trained as Vaishnavas, then they get married and leave the temple to start a household. Presently these fully trained up devotees are then left to their own resources, they live "outside". This is maya, rascaldom! This doesnt create a varnashram commune which supports the temple but the very opposite - grhastha couples struggle to maintain themselves, become useless for the temple, even dont associate with the temple anymore, easy divorce, saintly children victimized etc., and the temple brahmin-preachers are send out to collect for the temple expenditure/electricity/water. This is the most foolish thing ever, which never creates a strong varnashram commune - and only a varnashram commune is able to organize a goshala. In other words a real TP can only allow devotees to get married and live outside when the TP has setup temple owned workstations where those grhasthas can work in a temple owned business, always in association of other devotees. This is a genuine, bona fide TP and not a pseudo who sends fully trained devotee grhasthas (brahmin-initiated) to work in karmi jobs. If this is the law than there will be gradually a growing varnashram commune and only then a goshala can be maintained properly by a varnashrama commune with lets say 50-100 devotees without selling the bulls do get extra cash for surviving.

Stop ISKCON's present kali-yuga mentality!

"While herding the very beautiful bulls, the Lord, who was the reservoir of all opulence and fortune, used to blow His flute, and thus He enlivened His faithful followers, the cowherd boys." - Srimad Bhagavatam 3.2.29

Lord Krishna did not abandon his male calves. He took care of them properly. In a temple goshala all of the cows belong to Krishna. Who could imagine that He would sell his childen off for slaughter.

A newspaper article came out last month saying the famous temple of Simhachalam was selling all the donated bulls for slaughter. In that district it has been an ancient custom that people will donate their first good bull to that temple as an offering, but the temple was selling them for meat.

If you are Vaisanava don't worry about bull protection. Bulls belongs to Lord Shiva. If He wants to protect them let Him to protect. Bull does not give milk only labor. That's why they always takes birth in this material world which is most laborious place through out this whole universe. But protect celestial cow of Krsna who always gives milk. Without milk no calf can alive. So if you want to survive protecting cow is must and which is reflection of the celestial cow of Krsna in material world.

Krsna had given you a cow through Prabhupada which is having 4 legs 1)No Meat eating 2)No Illicit Sex 3) No gambling 4) No Intoxication 5) Body of the cow is made with changing Hare Krsna. If you do this for yourself your cow will be protected. If you teach this to your own children your calf will be protected. So you got cow and calf. Go on multiplying and help other to learn to protect their own cows and calves. Once you have so many cows and calves through multiplication of your own cows and calves, you will play with Krsna becoming cowherd boy. Krsna is original cowherd boy and you will be His associate. You all will play and enjoy together in Heaven becoming cowherd boy like Krsna as long as you want.

So protect cow in this material world which is your own cows in heaven. If you kill here cows your own cows will be killed in Heaven. This is the real teaching of Krsna. Krsna enjoys seeing that you protected your own cows in Heaven and as well as in material world. This is the key to success in Krsna consciousness.

Without bull no calf can even start alive :D

Only Krsna's glance is sufficient to produce calf and protect them from demon. Did Krsna not killed Bull demon on Vrindavan? No bulls are allowed in Golok. Did you not read Phancha tattva?

If you are new comer please take some calsses in ISKCON or read pancha tattva.

As you yourself said, it was a demon. It does not mean that krsna is against all bulls. Krsna killed Putana, who was a lady. Does it mean Krsna is against all ladies?

Krsna is not against bull and that’s why given to Lord Shiva. Shiva uses those bulls and asks bull to carry His weight which is definitely so heavy I guess. But Krsna is always against demon which challenges Krsna Himself, Supreme Personality of Godhead

Pl. don't speculate and water down the discussions. We are here to make a point and implement Srila Prabhupada's instructions on cow protection in a practical way. Pl. keep your sentiments away. The post from the administrator, Jahnava Nitai Prabhu says it all. He has quoted from the Bhagavatam on how Krishna herds the beautiful bulls in Vrindavana. That's enough to tell how Krishna takes care of the bulls. We don't need speculations here.

Prabhu missed my point which says "Krsna is not against bull and that’s why given to Lord Shiva". I did not say krsna is against beautiful bulls in Vrindavana. If Krsna offers one beautiful bull to Lord Shiva as a gift to carry Lord Shiva's Load where is the offence?

Above all Lord Shiva is one dearest devotee of Lord Krsna

Did you not read Phancha tattva?

How do you read Pancha Tattva? Pancha Tattva are five incarnations of the Lord. They are not something you read, nor have they written any books. Their teachings have been passed down in parampara through acharya's such as Srila Prabhupada. He has presented their perfect teaching as follows:

"Lord Krishna, as the teacher of human society, personally showed by His acts that the mercantile community, or the vaisyas, should herd cows and bulls and thus give protection to the valuable animals. According to smriti regulation, the cow is the mother and the bull the father of the human being. The cow is the mother because just as one sucks the breast of one's mother, human society takes cow's milk. Similarly, the bull is the father of human society because the father earns for the children just as the bull tills the ground to produce food grains. Human society will kill its spirit of life by killing the father and the mother." (purport to Srimad Bhagavatam 3.2.29)

The problem in India is many people think they know what is dharma simply because they are born in vaishnava families. But once they open their mouth, only nonsensical gibberish comes out. Better to follow the teachings of Acharyas such as Srila Prabhupada.

If you are Vaisanava don't worry about bull protection. Bulls belongs to Lord Shiva.
All living entities belong to Lord Krishna, as He confirms in Gita, isvara sarva bhutanam.

Bull does not give milk only labor. That's why they always takes birth in this material world which is most laborious place through out this whole universe.
Just a ludicrous statement.

So protect cow in this material world which is your own cows in heaven. If you kill here cows your own cows will be killed in Heaven. This is the real teaching of Krsna.
This has nothing to do with Lord Krishna's teachings at all. I would suggest you read the books of Srila Prabhupada to get a proper understanding of Lord Krishna's message.

No bulls are allowed in Golok.
More ludicrous statements. Please don't waste people's times with such writings here.

It may be true that Lord Krishna gave a bull to Lord Shiva, but that is irrelevant to the current discussion. How does this solve the problem of "devotees" sending bulls to slaughter houses?

First you say: -

If you are Vaisanava don't worry about bull protection. Bulls belongs to Lord Shiva. If He wants to protect them let Him to protect.

Then you say: -

But protect celestial cow of Krsna who always gives milk.

Your argument is that we should not try to protect bulls because Lord Shiva will protect them. By the same argument, one can say that we should not try to protect cows because Lord Krsna will protect them.

Bull does not give milk only labor.

Yes, they do not give milk. But so what? Many other beings do not give milk as well? In fact, no male gives milk. Does it mean no male should ever be protected? If so, I am really afraid. I am a male.

why they always takes birth in this material world which is most laborious place through out this whole universe.

Even cows have taken birth in this material world.

Without millk no calf can alive.

In a later post you wrote that Krsna can produce a calf only with His glance. I can as well say that he can keep a calf alive just by His glance.

Krsna had given you a cow through Prabhupada which is having 4 legs 1)No Meat eating 2)No Illicit Sex 3) No gambling 4) No Intoxication

You are using the word cow in figurative sense here. Nothing wrong in this. But this thread did not originate with the usage of cows and bulls in figurative sense. Why change the topic?

Note: - Please clarify how your post is relevant to the first post in this thread.

Sun to grass. Grass to cow. This is one of the most efficient exchanges of energy to consumption besides the rabbit known.
