Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

This I find so important to implement. Without this mentality, the

varnasrama system is simply scaring.

If our position in society destined by our body becomes more important

than the qualities we work under, I fear that a impersonalistic system will

be the result. That is not Daivi-varnasrama is it?

I cannot understand why we would have to keep people back from performing

certain activities, since they will automatically be kept back by their own

abilities. Just like a man cannot breastfeed, but he can still be a kind

father.

As far as I can understand (which I agree may be little) the important

point is that noone is pushed to be something they are not. And why should

they try to transgress their own nature, if their needs are provided for?

However if the socalled top of society neglects their duties and simply

lives on their privileges, noone will want to be in the bottom, and then the

leaders will need to commit violence in order to keep their power.

Whenever I read of varnasrama-leaders in the Srimad Bhagavatam, they are

very much loved by their subjects.

This ruling with love does not seem to come easy to us in this age,

especially since we all have a long history of being supressed by

materialistic leaders.

What is going on in modern society of today is that women are often pushed

to feel bad about being simply mothers and wifes. That is another kind of

violence, which I have also seen in ISKCON. But why jump into the other

ditch and deny them the abilities and qualities they actually posess?

I mean why should a educated person not use her education for Krishna?

Instead of all this focusing on holding back I would appreciate the

creation of actual training for our young people, so that they can take care

of themselves according to their actual different natures. As far as I can

see, practically this is the biggest problem we have at present.

Then maybe there will be hope, that we can see our grandchildrens children

growing up in selfsufficient villages, with proper schoolingfacilities and

qualified teachers. Yes it could certainly be nice to sit as an old

granmother not in an impersonal and humiliating old age home being forced to

take drugs but together with familymembers and guests seeing the peaceful

cows and hearing the qualified nonenvious brahmanapriests singing hymns in

the temple.

A happy New Year to all of you!

Please accept my humble obeisances.

My Cristmas holiday is over so I want to thank you for giving your valuable

association, increasing my appreciation for Srila Prabhupadas books and

tolerating this fool. Please forgive any inconvenience I might have caused

anyone here with my neophyte mentality.
