Here is a horoscope of one of my friend looking desparately for marriage. 7th

lord Ve in 7th house is aspected by Mars in lagna. Mars is also 8th lord - is

this delaying mariage?

In Navamsa, Rahu & Katu in Lagna & 7th are very strong. Is this an indication

that he may have untraditional marriage? 7th lord Ve in rasi is in 8th in

Navamsa with 3rd & 8th lord.

Please let me understand how you approach a chart to read about marriage prospects?

While assessing marriage, it is necessary to see the planets affecting the 7th

house, Venus and Jupiter.Generally Venus in 7th house is not very good for

stable marriages.Mars aspecting it aggravets the problems. Again the

Dasha/Antar of connected planets and Gochar position of Jupiter and Venus plays

a great role, when we try to assess the time of marriage.

Your friend can have marriage with out permission of the parents or against

their wishes due to Rahu placement and Saturn's aspect of 5th house makes love

marriage likely.

Now coming to Gochar positions of the planets,Jupiter has to reach Leo when he

aspects the Ascendant. During this time Venus or Mars Antar is necessary for

marriage to come through. Now Jupiter crosses over to Leo post July and Venus

Pratyantar in JUP-Jup Antar starts operating in August when Venus conjoins or

aspects 7th during this period he could get married.
