Hi Everyone,

Which oil should be used for lighting diya for pooja in day to day

life. Sesame, mustard, peanut, vegetable, canola, olive oil????

Any reply would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

For all round prosperity use ghee. In case of oil, use gingelly oil

commonly known as til oil in north. All other oils are not advisable.

Sesame and mustard...(think both are one) are used in kali maa

worship by tantrik...For normal household diya lighting...use til oil
