Dear John,

Pay attention to any saturn related physical ailments like

arthritis, nervous system related weakness, etc. Saturn-guru dasha and

present saturn in lagna alongwith the omen related to pigeons signify health

problems in near future.

Regards,

Ashutosh.

Dear Shabnam / John,

We have an ancient custom where after a person is

cremated there is a rite to be performed. It involves

offering food to the crows. If the crow/s comes &

immediately peck the food it means that the deceased

was fulfilled & had no wishes / worries left. He will

be at peace. If the crow doesn't peck (they actually

hover around but refuse to eat ) then the close family

members have to guess at what the last wish was & say

that he will ensure it is done. The minute the right

button is pressed the crow/s come & eat.

My own experience & of my family's is that it works

100%

Dear Juliana,

A person running budha dasa ,who is also running second phase of sadesathi,

found pigeons in the apt , ( a bathroom ventilator galss broke and they came

in.) One of the pigeons was dead. Does it signify anything ? should the person

be careful about his health or any other aspects of life, what does it mean

exactly.

Please reply

3) Two-legged creatures (like humans) are ruled by Guru and Sukra.

4) Rodents/Reptiles/Insects/Arthropods are ruled by Chandra, Rahu

There seem to be different opinions, as usual. Could this be related

to S. Indian versus N. Indian styles, anyone?

Thanks,

Thanks Juliana, I will check out the site of Dr Kamat.

You didnt mention foxes. How would they fit in with Surya & Mangla ? ( four

legged )

Would they represent some affliction or weakness of the above planets, for

the residents of the house ? Like I said, there is a lone one living in our

garden for years.

Dogs too are four legged but I read that stray ones belong to Shani & black

ones to Ketu.

Just picking your brain......

Hi Juliana,

I just caught myself reading all these symbology posts

as if we were discussing rules instead of guidelines.

Your sparrow 'meanings' just jolted me into reality.

Thanks!

Now that I'm thinking, I'd think that the person who

sees the symbol or dreams the dream would have to look

at the list of suggested meanings and choose which

resonates with them.

Regarding the sparrow. I can see 'lowliness'. I could

understand friendship (since they come by often), I

could see 'daily routine' - but 'fertility'? Wow. I'm

impressed. [Now I have images of birds wandering

through my head trying to see which would mean

fertility to me. I'm thinking I have strange ideas

about fertility.] How does one get 'solitude' from a

social bird? I can see solitude with a hummingbird,

but I'm stumped on the sparrow.

Either way, having fun following this thread. Thanks!

The parrot is called "Shuka" in Sanskrit, and it's meaning is to "repeat"

like how they repeat what you say.

It goes deeper than that.

Parrots can also read your mind, and thus repeat what you're thinking.

This is true. It's been proven recently in NY with one parrot who says what

it's owner thinks.

So birds in general are probably somewhat phychic. Thus, they externally

show us what we are thinking. Thus, they may appear to "know the truth"

about what is going on such as a crow landing on the window sill of someone

about to die.

Dogs too are psychic. This too is proven.

So animals are omens because they sense the reality just as planets are

aligned with all reality, which is aligned with them. The reader reads what

is. Animals are readers. Read them and you see what is.

Animals are not dumb. Nor do they lack speech. They speak, and are smart.

Rupert Sheldrake, the scientist who invented the concept of the

morphogenic field did a large study of psychic powers in animals. One

of the most fascinating was a psychic parrot who could tell -- and

speak verbally, in Enlish -- what its owner was doing at any

particular time, whether they were outside the house or not. He

covers this amazing investigation in his book "The Sense of Being

Stared At" which is an excellent read. Also many examples of psychic

powers in dogs in that book. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/

detail/-/1400051290/qid=1119292845/sr=8-1/

ref=pd_bbs_ur_1/104-7760874-1509538?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

Although this can sound virtually wacko when you talk about it,

Sheldrake is a highly-respected scientist and goes to great lengths

to insure that these animals really are doing what it seems like

they're doing.

Dear Das,

The instinct is more developed in animals and birds than in

humans. They also have an ability to sense ones intentions.

About twelve years ago, I visited one of my friends. As I was

sitting in the living room and chatting with his family members, a small

pomeranian dog came in and, jumping on the sofa, sat besides me. I patted

him and he calmly sat relaxed there. Everybody else was surprised about that

pet's behaviour because it had a habit of non-stop barking at the visitors.

And here he was humble and quiet and also enjoying a gentle caress from me

on his head.

I told them that I too had a dog in my home and this dog of theirs

must have sensed my caring intentions about animals. I have observed that

people who like throwing stones at dogs, are always welcomed with furious

barkings by dogs in all the homes they visit.

I judge dogs by their eyes. They are really very expressive. My pet

dog had an allusion that he was a human child in a dog's body. I can write

an epic on him.
