ANANTAPUR: Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy had darshan of Sri Satya

Saibaba at Puttaparthi on Monday morning.

Before leaving for Hyderabad at Satya Sai airport, the Chief Minister told

newsmen that he had visited Saibaba for blessings and not for seeking any

promises.

He said he had asked Baba to give his blessings to the State and its people.

Rajasekhara Reddy also requested Saibaba to use his good offices with his

Karnataka counterpart Dharam Singh for widening and modernisation of HLC canal

which supplies drinking and irrigation water to Anantapur district.

He thanked Saibaba for providing funds for drinking water projects in the

tribal regions of East and West Godavari districts and requested him to take up

similar projects in the tribal areas of Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Khammam and

Warangal districts.

Earlier, Rajasekhara Reddy had talks with Saibaba for 30 minutes in the

green room of Sai Kulwant Hall in Prashanti Nilayam at 8.30 AM after his

overnight stay at Puttaparthi.
