Namaskar Mitra,

China marched into Tibet in 1950. Dalai Lama fled from Lhasa to India in 1959.

In June 2001 I travelled to the home town of Dalai Lama, Mcleodganj. I saw

thousands of Tibetans living happily there. Prior to the Tibetans the Parsis

fled to India hundreds of years ago because Muslims of Iran persecuted them.

Today some of India's biggest business houses are owned by Parsis namely the

Tatas & Godrej.

To see how the Tibetans live,

See the Dalai Lama Temple, the Tibetan Museum, tibetan children at play & women at work.

Rediff columinists Rajeev Srinivasan wrote in his latest article titled 'The

campaign against the Indian civilization'.

http://in.rediff.com/news/2004/aug/17rajeev.htm

" Refugees such as Jews fleeing Roman oppression around 72 CE, Syrian Christians

fleeing persecution in Syria in the 345 CE time frame, Parsis fleeing Iran

around 750 CE, Tibetans fleeing Chinese oppression since 1950 have all been

welcome. Among 148 countries Jews have lived in, India is the only one in which

they were never persecuted".

Yet we continue to listen to sermons from the West/Arab world on religious

freedpm, peace etc. Why should we? THINK.
