Hi Dana, Not sure what answer will be about virgin, but if you're like me

and love the coconut flavor itself, you might be a little disappointed.

Our co-op has orderd from this company and gotten wonderful service.

However, we just placed our last order as, for us, (southern AZ) the

shipping became too high, as much as 30% as we're ordering up to 2,000 lbs

of products at a time.

So keep shipping costs in mind as you make decisions.

ONLY speaking from my own experience.

+++Hi Dana,

Dr. Bruce Fife, the expert on coconut oil, writes this:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/coconut7.php

" The first thing to look for is a Virgin coconut oil. I recommend virgin coconut

oil over non-virgin or RBD oil. RBD stands for refined, bleached, and

deodorized. The less processing a food undergoes the higher the nutrient content

and the healthier it is. Processing removes and destroys nutrients. Virgin

coconut oil is made from fresh coconut without high heat or chemicals.<<<NOTE.

Darn it all, that's too bad, I really get tired of that coconutty flavor... it

overpowers all other flavors so that I don't like to even add it to my food or

cook in it, I have to take it by the spoonful separately.

Now I'm confused. Are you saying that ONLY virgin coconut oil is

acceptable?

I am quite sure, in the past, the tropical traditions expeller pressed

(non coconutty flavored) oil was mentioned as being an acceptable

product. Has this changed?

+++Hi . I quoted Dr. Bruce Fife, but non-virgin coconut oil is okay too

if it is not refined, etc., etc.

So to be absolutely clear, non-virgin coconut oil, as long as it is not refined,

etc, will still have all the health benefits and help to heal my body just as

well as virgin?
