[Damara Tantra] - reality about tantrism

This view is VERY doubtful from scientific point of view and simply

WRONG from point of view of Amnaya (tradition). Tantra itself NEVER

sees black magic as equal to spiritual practice or as a kind of "other

side" of itself.

This is true that there are occult tantras such as several Damaras,

Uddishas and Kalpas (Bhuta-damara, Damara, Yaksha-damara, Kriyoddisha,

Virabhadroddisha etc); also several big compendiums of matras have

some sections dedicated to occult practices (like Mantra-maharnava).

But they are never concidered to be Moksha-shastras but only practical

manuals for worldly purposes.

Most of Tantras condemn usage of black magic. In some cases it is

allowed to use some prayogas - but even then these are not concidered

to be sadhana! Shatkarmas were developed to solve some material

problems. We also have to remember that kaulism was always royal

religion connected much with warrior society. They needed magical

support in their activities. Nobody thought that magic is spiritual

practice - it was a kind of worldly art, like martial art etc.

A bit different case are sadhanas of Yoginis, Dakinis, Bhutinis,

Pishachinis and Yakshimis (also depicted in occult tantras). These MAY

be used for spiritual purpose.

Some think that tantrism developed from Atharvana-veda. In my opinion

that is rather wrong than right :). But if that is true some occult

elements can be atavism of AV practices. Those who read AV know how

much sorcery is there.

The essential practice which defined Tantra from its origin was kula-

yaga. Many things were changing but the basic yoga of Kula was the

same during centuries. Related practices like stri-puja, yoni-puja,

raja-yoga, different chakras etc are at the heart of Kula-tantra.

While shatkarmas and pishachini sadhanas are on outskirts, that too

rather doubtful...

You are very simply wrong with thinking there is no Black Tantra that is equal to that of so called White Tantra..I love this double standard.

I have personally studied under what one would call a Black Tantric Master from the east and thats all I go into here in public and partially it really doesnt matter if your opnion changes on the matter because I know what I know from personal "OccultGnosis" experancres.

I think you are confusing things with the Thelemic Tradition.

The universe is not all fluffy and white light as all would wish, there are different cosmic forces at play.
