  1. "Radhe-Krishna is nothing other than Maya-Brahman" --??? Hey RadheyRadhey!! Time to put up you dukes--Do something, say something! Is this the correct meaning of your signature?? GET YOUR TICKETS! TICKETS NOW ON SALE!
  2. Don't be sorry. LSD is made by scientists. You do believe cent per cent with empirical truth?
  3. I have been watching DVDs of Srila Prabhupada--and just last night I realized that the 1972 Lecture I was watching required me and all other devotees to wait 36 years to view. I'd really like to mention two subtle things I have notice in Srila Prabhupada's behavior. 1) Sometimes he chokes up with emotion --but 99% of the time that he does, it is almost un-discernable by a viewer unless he is aware of the mellow (rasa) that is occuring --such as in item 2 below: 2) An old, wise, and, advanced holy man, unsure yet that destiny would be on his side[?], leaves the security of his home town to journey 12,000 Miles alone to fullfill a 40 year old request from his mentor. He succeeds to such an extent that each and every moment that transpired during his adventure was a "marvel". So much success was achieved by this monk that he had to constantly restrain his jubilation lest he be consider not grave. ....................................................................................... So, my point is that Swamiji [A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami] was doing superhuman work and he knew it and was aware of it--this is the kind of amrita that cannot be & and had not been relished & still now has not been relished by anyone, nor can it be match by others, and he knew it to be so. This is what I realize Srila Prabhupada is experiencing. He was going where not other Swami had gone before--and he was keeping a "Poker-face" through-out. Those devotees who were present and adjacent to him when he stood and danced certainly witnessed the highest of good fortune and the highest platform that a sannyas could ever aspire to.
  4. If we are actually without free will then we are being made to suffer like dolts, mudhas & fools par excellence since it would be god himself that is inflicting sorrow etc on to us. The "miseries" and "defects" of the conditioned jiv-atma is due to profund ignorance -- don't ignore it! ............................................................................................................. SB 1.5.32 P: . . . the threefold miseries pertaining to the body and mind, pertaining to the natural disturbances and in relation with other living beings. . . . SB 7.13.31P: . . . The threefold miseries—adhyätmika, adhidaivika and adhibhautika. No one can escape the threefold miseries of materialistic life, namely miseries pertaining to the body and mind, miseries pertaining to the difficulties imposed by society, community, nation and other living entities, and miseries inflicted upon us by natural disturbances from earthquakes, famines, droughts, floods, epidemics, and so on. . . . BG 16.24P: . . . Çästra is without the four principal defects that are visible in the conditioned soul: imperfect senses, the propensity for cheating, certainty of committing mistakes, and certainty of being illusioned. These four principal defects in conditioned life disqualify one from putting forth rules and regulations. Therefore, the rules and regulations as described in the çästra—being above these defects—are accepted without alteration by all great saints, äcäryas and great souls. . . .
  5. Actions are done by us all within the field of Actions. Our sentiments or 'devotions' are aimed at our corner of the universe. The concept expressed in your above posting neglects the idea of "insignificance". The higher up the ladder of the stratum of birth-rights [ie: Deva vs. insect, or, Military dicatorship vs. common soldier, or, school teacher vs student] the higher up you are the more options are availible [but be warned: the bigger they are the harder they fall]. Maybe instead of the concept of "Free-will" it should be "Choice of Options" --the outcome at Kurksetra is all about those who had previously sided away from Arjuna and Krishna's side in favor of that which the Kuravas stood for.
  6. SO WHY IS THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON DARK? WHY DO I NEED A FLASHLIGHT TO USE THE OUT-HOUSE?
  7. Me: I believe that the sastra is correct. You: I believe ____________. Me: Please tell us WHO, WHAT, WHERE you believe. Have you met this entitity? Are they (your beliefs) tangible? Will they return your call? Do they believe you? Would they give you the time of day, or, just pay your university tuition after a full tour of duty? Do they help you enjoy yourself? When your lights go out, do you go to fix it yourself? You are helpless at the whims of so much unbelievable phenomena. Like an intelligent woman who is a stripper to pay for her children's milk. Yes, scientific progress is always there to fall back on.
  8. Let us do some calculation: [do it long hand without a calculator --like in the "good old days"--- before the plague, or tsunami, or krakatoa, or WWI or WWII or Admiral Perry's landing in Japan, or before Isabella' s gamble paid off or before Shakha-Zulu & Sitting Bull & Queen Maia maia & the Librarian at Alexandria lived and died] A dog had lived 10 years --so he lived until he was 70 years old. The ship on the horizon is soo small. Albert Einstein: "Time is relative", "gravity is relative to mass" Little acknowledged scientific Facts: the poison is the source of the antidote. If she says she dislikes me, then she probably is attracted to me --who knows what she's thinking? Laws of physics always latently contain the inverse principle within its own properties. You can see? Shut off the lights! Now you cannot see. She is so beautiful! I lust for her, as does all mankind --she is really a bag of stool, bile, blood, etc. Little acknowledged scientific Facts: No one knows what electricity is --they only know how to direct its use. All the people who have recently died in sudden naturual catastrophies [ie: Thailand tsunami, China earthquakes, USA Mid-west Tornados, California Wild-fires, New York City Falling Construction Cranes] all had faith that it would happen to somebody else or that a Scientist will come to the rescue. A doctor is always needed on space ships to new frontiers of "eating, sleeping, mating and defending". Good bless the scietific innovations since the last time it was the good old days. Look forward when the average Housewife has more leisure time to read LIFE Magazine's next headline. Sardonic and insidiously investing in a brighter future for all fighters of terroism and the price of Rice in China and the price of petro in Saud's ledger sheet and the price of maya, Bhaktajan
  9. When a house is burning--we must alert others to vacate the burning house. --this is the metaphor I always thought of in regard to the above posting. "What is absent is a self-righteous attitude." I know what you mean in your above statement [vs. being un-gentle and haughty toward other devotees]. We must write to those who are leaders and explain our grievances [regarding being a Yoga Practitioner of so many decades, and thus, how society is Cheating each other, causing war and violence through meat eating, how lust is created by old men in power among innocents, how the best efforts of society and medical researching and goverment policies have a track record of cheating irregardless of political leanings, etc. The back log of potential grievances is yet un-tapped by the best of the best thoughtful citizens]: We must write to: our politicians, world leaders, United Nations represantatives, Local Church leaders, Civic organization Leaders, Business Executives, Collage professors, Newspaper Editors, TV & radio Journalists, Local Doctors, and even, long lived near & distant relatives --and tell them of our discontent. We represent a Brahminical view-point and all that is neccessary is to make our opinion known ['whatever a great man (person) does, common men follow']. It is not needed to take actions beyond ones abilities --all that is needed that alternative view-points exist. The "open-book knowledge of the Gita, Bhagavatam, Prasadam preparations" are available to all, but most people don't know it even exists. Think of a retired Iowa School teacher who writes that she is very 'diappointed' with the neglect of the Memorial in the Town Square --the opening statements in such a letter will very likely allude to the years of tenure or seniority that the writer possesses before stating her grievance. Try it without being offensive. Use tact & diplomacy. But do chastise with out any physical threats.
  10. Om Babble, Om Babble, Om Babble, Om Babble, . . . The issue is "KARMA MANAGEMENT" --in this birth; ergo, next and next and next birth, --or nirvana-patha. Yooz guys think your scholars? The Topic is vedanta --yet you have not laid down a ground plan for "What is Vedanta? --Nirvana-bound? --Brahmaloka-bound? Or as A.C. Bhaktivedanta has uncovered for us: Vaikuntha-bound?" But, I digress. Please talk among yourselves. just nosey Bhakta looking for pot washers, Bhaktajan
  11. While the Gita class was going on, I entered the prasadam hall and I found the room was filled with kids of all ages and their parents, and I said, very loudly: "nobody I know has a more confused view of guru-tattva than disciples of Srila Prabhupada. Just look around - it's a mess: from zonal acharya grouppies to ritviks, and from blind GBC acceptance to "guru is the book" crowd. This is your "golden standard"?" Then suddenly everyone simultaneously threw plates of dhal and rice on me. I was covered head to toe with it. I cried a little and ran out --the worst part was the stares of strangers on the tram. But some people asked for the recipes and I had to tell them truthfully. So you see, it turned out all right until I got home and slipped & fell on a puddle of dhal while also ripping down the window curtains I grabbed as I fell --That's when all hell broke loose . . .
  12. Attached are two pages. Print both --"back-to-back" onto a single page. Cut out the 8 items. And thus you have 8 Flash cards to start. I will be posting all 10 pages (actually 20 Pages) a few at a time as per the allowed 'file-size' limitations. I have compiled common spoken phrases in Sanskrit herein [ie: Hello, Good Morning, Please, Thank you, How much is that/this?, What time is it? Would you like more prasadam? What is your name? My name is Jeeves, etc ]. The source of my sanskrit phrases is Hari-venu's new books --"Sanskrit grammer" [go to KrishnaCulture.com to order his two books on Learning sanskrit]. respectfully yours, Bhaktajan Sanskrit Flash Cards - Partial.doc
  13. How thoughtfull to think of me while, ,the key board. I am gushing and giddy. "I'm so happy, so happy and and and and " ---You see what's happening here? Sri Vishnu! Sri Vishnu! Sri Vishnu!
  14. Well, my school-mate Rebecca got free tickets to see "la cage afaux" --I went with her to see it on Broadway NYC about three years ago. Robert Guillette was in it as the lead and it was a great specticle of a show --and I thought to myself that, 'If I was a gay man' my boy friend would have to be on a par with the chorus line dancers both in looks and acrobatic skills. So that means I am bigoted only against dull, insipid, ugly an non-acrobatic Gay men. I am sorry but this may also include Islamic terrorist gays too. Oh, my. This must also include crazy obnoxious homosexual gurus --can you blame me? Be kind & gentle please. -- "I ammmm whooo I ammmmm !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And the divided time of 'past, present and future' of the perishable mahat-tattva that has further distortions of time in the higher, middle and lower material planetary systems were there is even more dimensions of material time and space that is different from our experience and perception of time on our middle planet. ................................................................................................. To this I'd like to add the following co-factor [if that's the correct word]: The "Absolute" state of reality is "indivisible". While, the components comprising the material world/Maha-tattva are described as finitely divisible. This is not a difficult meta-physical statement. Each of the eight layers of the Brahmanda's shell-like covering are each progessively 10 times thicker than the preceeding layer. So, standing back and viewing the Brahmanda from an outside POV, one sees that the journey from the outer edge, through the ten successive concentric onion-like layers, past the devalokas, and then on to the center of a Brahmanda; takes one further and further into sub-atomic space & time, and still, again continues to sub-divide "further and further into sub-atomic space & time" ad infinitum. Infinite "sub-dividing" of the Cosmic Material Energy and thus a "world within a world within a world etc . . . " is the nature of existential worlds that are temporary, transient, subjective, petty, relative [non-absolute], also known as: "in the well consciousness".
  18. Who does "[software developed by me]" equate to the majestic mercy of the Souls' existence. I present the first 5 custom-made Lessons for you: In the Bhagavad-gita Krishna explains five Topics, ergo, my choice of topics for your lesson syllabus: Lesson #1: Karma Lesson #2: Kala Lesson #3: Prakriti Lesson #4: Jiva Lesson #5: Isvara Your assigment is to post a seperate posting for each topic. You may only use A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami's Srimad Bhagavad-gita as-it-is as an "Open-book" resource. Please cite the verse number and/or the Purport that you will be summarizing/commenting on/expanding upon. Please take your time researching each topic. I shall be scoring your work solely on the "A.M.R.I.T.A" scoring system, also know as the T.N.P "Total nectar Prabhu" response --so aim for that enlivening response we all know from those times when we had obtained a full plate of Maha-prasadam; or equal. My closing comments: I suggest, as per the your above posts, that you begin with "Lesson #4: Jiva" --Remember that you're not the only jiva: There are the relatives of Arjuna. There are the court personalities back at the palace and back at the cow-herd-rancheros. There are the living entities in samsara. There are the 3 types of yogis. There are the the pitris and soldiers on the field which Arjuna did not seek to slay, ie: Duryodhana . And there are the Demigods. Did I omit any aspect of the topic "Jiva" as Krishna spoke which Srila Prabhupada enlightened us to? Well maybe, I should include here Super-soul/Paramatma and Bhagavan, and, there are the Krishna's AHAMS of splendor, ie: I within the heart provide intelligence and memory [i'm paraphrasing] . . . I'm sorry but now I must attend to my alloted dharma elsewhere. respectfully yours for sparring practice in Krishna's service, Bhaktajan PS: This weeks Bonus Questions: Which of the above five topicas is eternal and which are material? How does your own(the jiva-atma's) inspiration to work ie: "to develop software" agree with the nature of the your soul's existence/the existence of other souls? PSS: I do agree that it is lamentable that spiritual maxims are borrowed and inverted by Madison Ave advertisers to sell sundry articles--but: 1) they are not admitting to plagerizing nor re-issuing Scriptual texts "as they are not" [vs. "as-it-is"]. 2) The use of unknowingly invoking The Supreme Personality of Godhead in mundane [karmi] culture is widespread. IE: all love songs that express "yearning" are invocations to the "Original-beloved" but to the materialist, the presence of Krishna in all "yo yo, yam yam's" is not apparent. Thus, the 10th Canto of the Gita enumerates where to find the apex of God's oppulence in the material world. 3) Maybe it is better said [and/or a better goal top aspire for]: "Of software developers, know that Avinash's inspiration and joy is Krishna's approval" --Kinda sentimental, no?
  19. Mind your horses. Your alluding to something you know is not relavent here to me. I have not changed anything--and I understand what you think you want me to do. There is no need to ask me such a thing, because the topic is 'Polytheism' --you are digressing and you know it. The application of philosophcal maxims are the right of the common people. I have observed all the rules & customs of literary editorship. "Always look at the bright side of life, ta-da da-da-da-da tad-da . . . " from The Life of Brain --by Monty Phython
  20. I have "murdered"? I have "murdered" a person with a soul? I have defeated your lethargy to speak straightfowardly & plainly. Imaginary Godheads of abhoriginal Myths amongst the formative tribes along the middle-eastern regions of antiquity do not compare to the Patheon of the Family Tree of the personalities of The Srimad Bhagavatam are the standard of measurement for discussions on "pantheism". ................................................................................. Avinash, When you are old enough you will learn that you will be expected to write your own commentary on the Bhagavad-gita--I myself, intend to borrow heavily from myown authorities on the subject--maybe your authorities will influence you too as how to have insights all on your own. Please see MY posting: Krishna's "Aham(s)" posted under the Vedic Verses Threads. There you will see how Krishna states how we may "remember his presence" while we journey through-out all the world. I mave adapded a verse from the Gita [as all swami's are expected to--this is a 'commentary' that I am revealing that is part and parcel of this verse in relation to this thread's topic]: Some look on the soul [Family Tree of the personalities of The Srimad Bhagavatam] as amazing, some describe him [Family Tree of the personalities of The Srimad Bhagavatam] as amazing, and some hear of him [Family Tree of the personalities of The Srimad Bhagavatam] as amazing, while others, even after hearing about him [Family Tree of the personalities of The Srimad Bhagavatam], cannot understand him [Family Tree of the personalities of The Srimad Bhagavatam] at all. The sloka is quoted in it's entirety--no ommisions! I include my editorial remarks enclosed in Brackets--this is how educated and learned scholarly letters are writ! Go pick on some one your own size. With hold your response if you suspect that your only wildly speculating when dealing with me, phaleeze!
