i dun understand your point! and especially the way u re relating the madwas (they are not sect) with the mayans (am I right calling tem that way?) .

 

I was also an Advaithist until Dec 2005 when I suddenly woke up and realised I was following a philospohy which was completely illogical and false. I am a devotee of Sri Raghavendraswami and having read his books, embraced the Dvaitha philosophy.

If not the end of the world one could at least witness a period of cataclysmic changes and a lot of people may die due to vagaries in weather patterns. What is most worrying is that poor people, no matter which country they belong too will be affected the most by any sort of violent environmental changes. .

Hi I too belong to the Madhva sect. You are right ,The Madhvaites have not predicted any end of the world scenarios . But all the same, Tha Mayans were no fools either. They are, as everyone can see, a descendant of the Ancient Indians.Their methods of worshoip are also similar to the Hindus. Since these

people were great Mathematical geniuses who computed the value of "pi" to the sixth or seventh decimal(i dont really know) ,I am sure they wouldnt commit any major slip ups when it comes to predicting future events.

Several sources indicate that there will be a polar reversal which will have disastrous consequences for planet Earth. The Mayan calendar ends in 2012.

They do not have a calendar after that. So far they have never been wrong.

Does this mean the world will end. What do our scriptures have to say about

Rama and Krishna were warriors. They didn't seek to perpetuate violence, they lived by their dharma, because they were born warriors. They weren't himsaks.

All this is by way of justification. Bottom line, they killed whatever the motive. Jesus Christ and Mahatma Gandhi asked people to forgive those who harmed them, whereas some people rationalize killing in multiple ways. What a world we live in!

You can't figure that one out? Think about it, it's easy. A religion founded by a person who suffered for the sake of his devotees. A religion that advocates 'turning the other cheek' and not reacting to violence with violence.

You should try to understand "gita" so that you might see that Krishna does not glorify war. You would see it's not about war it's about duty.

All these are excuses. We need to make ahimsa an absolute principle, and not give excuses such as duty to rationalize our intent to hurt fellow beings.

The only solution is ahimsa, non-violence. Unless Jews and Aabs give up violence, there will be problems. It's time they followed Mahatma Gandhi's teachings and gave up hatred for each other. It's sad to see people fight like animals in the 21st century. Religion kills.

All those who promote MTV,gambiling,illicit sex, and intoxication and other so-called nonsence in the holy land should leave.

Dont take this too far.Gambling has been existent frm time immemorial. I see nothing wrong woth MTV.One has to change witht he times and not live in the past. Intoxication is also a very very old habit in India. First Indians shoud be taught to be well disciplined ,well mannered and sensitive to others interests and eschew corruption.

I once saw a guy speaking into a mobile phone in a petrol station endangering others lives despite being repeatedly told not to. People in India are completely oblivious to others interests. All rules are flouted in our country. Blame us and not the west or the East ,Nature can never be changed!!!

If you ask me, I think all cow killers should be exiled from india whether muslim, christian or hindu, just like maharaj pariksit banished Kali.

There are millions others who are facing many difficult obstacles in life. If you think that somebody has put the hex on you what about people like me,I have 2 parents who are very ill for the and I myself have been unemployed for many years. My career has been completely spoilt and my whole life is crumbling around me.... has somebody put the hex on my entire family,I wonder......

I think its mere clairvoyance and I think they just consult palm leaves just to give credence to their gift of clairvoyance. Otherwise,how is it possible to foretell the future of millions!!
