  1. Thanks anonymous for bringing up this question.

Spiritual advancement surely changes the eating habit.

As stated in Sri Sri Sad-gosvamy-astaka:

    sankhya-purvaka-nama-gana-natibhih kalavasani-krtau

    nidrahara-viharakadi-vijitau catyanta-dinau ca yau

    radha-krsna-guna-smrter madhurimanandena sammohitau

    vande rupa-sanatanau raghu-yugau sri-jiva-gopalakau

I offer my respectful obeisances unto the six Gosvamis, namely Sri Rupa Gosvami, Sri Sanatana Gosvami, Sri Raghunatha Bhatta Gosvami, Sri Raghunatha dasa Gosvami, Sri Jiva Gosvami, and Sri Gopala Bhatta Gosvami, who were engaged in chanting the holy names of the Lord and bowing down in a scheduled measurement. In this way they utilized their valuable lives and in executing these devotional activities they conquered over eating and sleeping and were always meek and humble enchanted by remembering the transcendental qualities of the Lord.

Probably all vegetarians also tried eating only raw food diet, for me it even was the only way to remain healthy in the country of origin of diarrhea, salmonella and hepatitis, India. However, to remain on that raw food diet for a longer periode of time causes in many cases liver disease. It is proven fact that raw food takes longer to digest and meanwhile when passing through the bowel ferments and produces hidden alcohol. Therefore you find such people having red cheeks or noses in the morning. And of course can cause addiction and gradually liver problems.

Highly spiritual people wont have that problem since they eat so less, people who still have ravenous appetite to eat a lot should be rather careful not to only eat raw foods.

Hope that doesnt look like a wisenheimer speach - just my own experience.

Court Decision on Illegal Mining in Braja

Jan 5, NEW DELHI (THE HINDU) — The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued notice to the Centre, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana and the Archaeological Survey of India on a petition seeking to curb illegal mining in the Braj region.

A Bench comprising Chief Justice Y. K. Sabharwal, Justice C. K. Thakker and Justice R. V. Raveendran issued notice on a public interest petition filed by three eminent persons of the Braj area alleging that inaction on the part of the States was posing serious threat to the ecology and unbroken socio-cultural heritage of the region which was more than 5,000 years old.

The petitioners, Neelambar Baba and two others, submitted that the Braj region was spread over three States surrounding Mathura and Vrindavan and was inhabited by spotted deer, sambar and blue bull. The illegal mining going on in this region had affected the environment and posed a threat to the habitats. As a result, the 5,000-year-old heritage hills were being neglected though they were close to Keoladeo National Park on the one side and the Sariska Tiger Reserve on the other.

The petitioners pointed out that the Goverdhan Parbat region had valuable flora and fauna and this region faced serious threat due to large-scale encroachments, deforestation and destruction of sacred bodies known as `kunds' located at Giriraj Goverdhan. They sought a direction to the authorities to take steps to stop illegal mining and to take steps for preservation and protection of the environment.

Govinda's Restaurant: Food for the Soul

  3. Poster Bhakta Don Muntean quotes: "As an example - Stalin murdered 25 million of his own people – so how possibly could it be the fault of the Hebrews that the world seems not to be interested enough to discuss that?"

This is not only right, Jewish-book author Arkady Vaksberg proves in his book, Stalin against the Jews (1994) that Stalin even was an anti-semite!

Quote: In 1994, Russian-born (and raised) Jewish author Arkady Vaksberg wrote a book entitled Stalin Against the Jews. Its fundamental thesis is that Stalin was a fanatical anti-Semite. (Louis Rapoport's Stalin's War Against the Jews reflects the same theme). The fact that many Jews (including millions of others) died under his direction is beyond question. And Stalin's actions in later life reflect his suspicions of the loyalty of many in the Jewish community. But the fact that Stalin was nonetheless surrounded by Jews everywhere in positions of high power (Lazar Kaganovich, Pyatnitsky, Fillip Goloschekin "and many others who were made part of the ruling circle") [VAKSBERG, p. 20] is described by Vaksberg as "camoflauge" for the Soviet leader's hatred of Jews. [VAKSBERG, p. 27] Yet Vaksberg's own evidence to portray the Russian Jewish community as solely victims consistently deflates the premise of Stalin's enduring anti-Semitism.Vaksberg assails Stalin as a singularly rabid, irrational Jew-hater even while stating that "the people who surrounded Stalin and who had rendered him service in the twenties and thirties were mostly Jews" [VAKSBERG, p. 35] and conceding that Jews especially close to Stalin like Emelyan Yaroslavky (Mines Gubelman), Moisey Gubelman, Lev Mekhlis ("Stalin's right hand man"), [VAKSBERG, p. 23] Lazar Kaganovich and Isaac Mintz all survived Stalin's declared "anti-Zionist" purges.

"Why did Stalin, as an anti-Semite," wonders Vaksberg, "have two Jewish secretaries -- Lev Mekhlis and Grigori Kanner?" [VAKSBERG, p. 27] Why too, we might add in turning Vaksberg's facts to different theses, whenever Stalin went on a vacation, did Lazar Kaganovich, a Jew, take over running the government? [VAKSBERG, p. 51] And why, we might add, if Stalin was so all-encompassingly hateful of Jews, did he entrust his life to a Jewish bodyguard, Matyas Rakoszy? [VAKSBERG, p. 40] And if Stalin was singularly focused in his alleged hatred of Jews, why did his "personal corps of physicians" include "Drs. Weisbrod, Moshenberg, and Lev Gigorievich Levin?" [RAPOPORT, L., 1990, p. 37] Even prominent non-Jewish Communist Party officials (and close associates of Stalin's social circle), President Mikhail Kalinin, Bukharin, Molotov, Voroshilov, Andreyev, Poskrebyshev, and Rykov, all had Jewish wives. Stalin's own daughter Svetlana Allilueva had an affair with Jewish screenwriter Alexei Kapler; she later married Grigory Morozov (Moroz), also Jewish. [VAKSBERG, p. 138; RAPOPORT, L., 1990, p. 208] The fact that Stalin reportedly did not approve of these men is routinely explained by Jewish scholars as anti-Semitism. Stalin's sister-in-law (eventually imprisoned) by his first wife was also Jewish. And there is controversial testimony that Stalin even had a Jewish mistress, Rosa Kaganovich. [RAPAPORT, L., p. 46, 241]

Over a hundred Jewish generals also served in Stalin's Soviet army, including the chief of the Soviet Air Force at the start of World War II, General Jacob Smushkevich. [GOLDBERG, M. H., 1976, p. 78]

    "It seemed," says Louis Rapoport,

"there were Jews wherever [stalin] looked. His loyal tin soldier, Marshal

Voroshilov, was devoted to his Jewish wife, Catherine. Marshal Bulganin

was also happily married to a Jew, Nadezhda. Politburo member Andrei

Andreyev, who fell from grace in 1950, was married to Dora Khazan, and

Kaganovich the Jew was married to Maria, also one of the tribe.

Malenkov, who was suspected of being a bit of a philo-Semite, had a

Jewish son-in-law, as, it was said, did Khrushchev. The up-and-coming

Leonid Brezhnev was said to have a Jewish wife." [RAPOPORT, L.,

    1990, p. 208]

Stalin's alleged fanatical anti-Semitism had further curious twists. "Another non-Jew not only helped create Israel," notes M. Hersch Goldberg, "but saved it. Incredible as it may seem, that man was Joseph Stalin. The tale of Stalin's role in helping create and then insure the early survival of Israel has been little told; and on those occasions when it has been mentioned, there has been no satisfactory explanation for it." This includes the fact that in 1947 the Soviet Union publicly supported the creation of a Jewish state, and was the second country (after the U.S.) to recognize its establishment. Stalin also initially supported Israel in its war of independence against the Arabs and supported Israel with shipments of arms through Czecheslovakia. Even the Soviet delegate to the United Nations, also President of the Security Council, was of Jewish heritage -- Jacob Malik. [GOLDBERG, M. H., 1976, p. 220-224] It would seem that if Stalin was truly overwhelmed with feelings of irrational anti-Semitism, Jewish power within his own government had overwhelmed him.

From the start of his argument about Stalin's single-minded hatred of Jews, Arkady Vaksberg marks the early struggle for power between Stalin and Trotsky-Zinoviev-Kamenev-Sikolnikov: "All four men whom Stalin perceived as his rivals in the struggle for power were Jewish. Each of them, especially Trotsky, naturally had a large number of allies in higher eschelons of power who could influence the distribution of posts and positions and the political clout and popularity of candidates. There was a certain ethnic 'imbalance' here too." [VAKSBERG, p. 19]

As normal in Jewish scholarship (framing Jews as victims even as they act as oppressors), Vaksberg even makes the preposterous claim that the reason Jewish commanders ran 11 of the 12 major Gulag Archipelago concentration camps (including the director of them all, Matvei Berman, who also headed the slave labor project that built the Belomar-Baltic Canal) was that Stalin wanted to make Jews look bad, and foment anti-Semitism. "It could not," he insists, "have been sheer coincidence." [VAKSBERG, p. 98] Maybe not. But other possible reasons are too profoundly troubling for Vaksberg to consider.

Jews were also everywhere prominent in Soviet secret police organizations. "From the beginning," writes Benjamin Ginsberg, "the Soviet state relied upon military, police, and security services to sustain itself, and Jews were active in these agencies. ... Jews ... staff[ed] and direct[ed] the coercive instruments upon which the state relied to control its citizens." [GINSBERG, B., 1993, p. 30] Genrikh Yagoda, for instance, was the Soviet Chief of the Secret Police in the 1930s. A pharmacist, he specialized "in preparing poisons for his agents to use in liquidating Stalin's opponents." [GINSBERG, B., 1993, p. 31] "Yagoda was the man Stalin trusted most within the repressive aparat without which no totalitarian regime can exist," says Arkady Vaksberg, "The Soviet version of dictatorship and Stalin personally would not have survived without the 'faithful watchdogs of the revolution' and their 'punishing swords.'" [VAKSBERG, p. 36] Yagoda's brother-in-law, Leopold Averebakh was the "chief supervisor of Party purity in Soviet literature." [VAKSBERG, p. 35]

"Working side by side with Yagoda," notes Arkady Vaksberg about a kindred Jewish government deputy, "was another professional chekist (a euphemism for professional executioner), Meer Trilissen ... The many actions undertaken by Trilissen's agents included blowing up the cathedral in Sofia with the Bulgarian tsar and his government inside." [VAKSBERG, p. 38]

Other Jews, Matvei Berman and Naftali Frenkel of the secret police, were instrumental in the creation of the slave labor system in which 200,000 workers died during one project alone, the White Sea-Baltic Canal. [GINSBERG, B., 1993, p. 31] "It was Frenkel," notes Louis Rapoport,

"who refined Berman's use of prisoners as slave labors ... Most of

the chief overseers of the Canal were Jews. Solzhenitsyn described

them as 'six hired murderers each of whom accounted for thirty

thousand lives: Firin - Berman - Frenkel - Kogan - Rappoport - Zhuk

... Thousands of Jewish revolutionaries helped to spearhead the

Terror machine with a messianic fervor. One of them, Matvei Berman,

had helped to institutionalize slave labor as early as 1922." [RAPAPORT,

    L., 1990, p. 30, 44]

Likewise, Yakov Agranov, Karl Danker "and other representatives of the Jewish proletariat ... distinguished themselves with a talent for execution." [VAKSBERG, p. 39] Other prominent Jewish officials in the Soviet government included K.V. Pauler, Chief Operations Officer of the secret police in the 1930's, Lev Inzhir (Chief Accountant for the Gulag: Inzhir "the all-powerful clerk, was kept busy with figures on transit points, rail depots and harbors, human and other freight transfers, length of terms, morality rates."), "top" Chekist Aron Soltz, [RAPOPORT, L., 1990, p. 44, 45] M. I. Gay who headed a secret police organization that conducted mass arrests and executions during "The Great Terror" of the 1930s, and A.A. Slutsky and Boris Berman who were in charge of terrorist and espionage activities abroad in the 1930s.

Noting that "many of the prosecution witnesses and agent provocateurs against" Jewish enemies of the communist state were also Jewish, Louis Rapoport adds that

"Some of the main instruments of the Terror [against everyone] were

also of Jewish origin: M. I. Gay, who headed a special secret police

department; A. A. Slutsky and his deputies Boris Berman and

    Shpiegelglas, who were in charge of terror and espionage abroad;

and NKVD operations chief Pauker. None of these mass executioners

survived [later purges against them] [RAPOPORT, L., 1990, p. 49-50]

The man who headed the firing squad that executed the Russian royal family, Yakov Yurovsky, was also Jewish, as was the Bolshevik official who reported the deaths to Lenin, Yakov Sverdlov. [KRICHEVSKY, Behind, 1997, p. 8] Or, as Arkady Vaksberg puts it: "There is no getting around the fact that the first violins in the orchestra of death of the tsar and his family were four Jews -- Yakov Yurovsky, Shaia Goloshchekin, Lev Sosnovsky, and Pinkus Vainer (Pert Voikov). The concert master and conducter was Yakov Sverdlov." [VAKSBERG, p. 37]

As Zvi Gitelman notes about the Cheka, the early Soviet terrorist police organization:

"The high visibility of Jews in the Bolshevik regime was dramatized

by the large numbers of Jews in the Cheka ... From the Jewish point

of view it was no doubt the lure of immediate physical power which

attracted many Jewish youths ... Whatever the reasons, Jews were

heavily represented in the secret police ... Since the Cheka was the

most hated and feared organ of the Bolshevik government, anti-

Jewish feelings increased in direct proportion to Cheka terror."

[GITELMAN, 1972, p. 117] [Parallel Jewish representation in the Polish

communist secret police will be addressed in the Holocaust chapter].

SUCHANDRA: "Over at dipika.org, Umapati Swami says: "Time to retire!" Retiring from material activity, yes, but why to retire from devotional service?"

    Dear Prabhu,

I just read Umapati's letter, and his actual statement is (quoted) "So I have decided to devote my time to writing and preaching and to leave the news to someone who is younger and has more time for the service."

This is clearly NOT a statement of intention to retire from devotional service.

One must be very careful not to create confusion or scandel by making un-true, or even partly-true allegations about another person.

May I humbly suggest you re-read Umaptai's letter very carefully? Your claim that Umapati is retiring from devotional life is simply not true.

    Hare Krishna

Thanks anonymous guests, since Umapati Maharaja is looking for someone to carry on dipika.org may be some Vaishnava webmaster who read this post became interested to continue this Vaishnava news site which had previously some 10,000 clicks per day. And thanks for teaching me to be careful, seems you're so overcautious that you prefer to remain a no name at vaishnava forums, indeed - very careful!

  5. That's probably the reason why they blow up the Holy Dham with dynamite? Someone has the details?

"The estimated gold ore reserves in Andhra Pradesh are around 6.839 million tonnes...."

Sitting pretty on gold and diamonds

    Saturday December 24 2005 00:00 IST

HYDERABAD: About ten multi-national companies have been waiting for the Central Government’s permission to take up mining for diamond and gold deposits at 17 places along the course of the Krishna river in Andhra Pradesh for nearly two years, having been caught in bureaucratic tangle.

Based on the recommendations of the Telugu Desam government, the Centre had sanctioned 38 reconnaissance permits to these firms during 2001-2002 to explore gold and diamond deposits.

Subsequently, each firm has reportedly spent crores of rupees for taking up detailed aeromagnetic, geo-physical and surface sampling surveys in 42,500 sq km area. They identified the gold and diamond deposits at Banaganapalli, Pagadarai, Jonnagiri and Yerragudi villages in Kurnool district, Pamidi, Ramagiri, Vajrakarur and Lattavaram villages in Anantapur district, Jaggaiahpet in Krishna district and a few more places in Kadapa, Prakasam, Chittoor, Nellore, Mahboobnagar, Rangareddy and Guntur districts.

Based on the survey, the firms later applied for 42 prospecting licences which are still pending with Delhi. These firms include De Beers, CRA Exploration Ltd, National Mineral Development Corporation, Geo Mysore, BHP Minerals India Ltd and its subsidiary BHP Khanija Anveshana Ltd, Philips Dodge Exploration India Ltd and Anglo American Exploration Ltd.

Geological Survey of India (GSI) and Mineral Exploration Corporation of India (MECI) have also identified Dona and Mantralayam in Kurnool district for exploration for diamonds.

“We are waiting for the Centre’s approval so that other clearances from departments like Revenue and Forests can be expedited,” officials of the Industries Department told Express.

The State Government would get a royalty of 20 per cent from mining. The estimated gold ore reserves in Andhra Pradesh are around 6.839 million tonnes.

  6. Over at dipika.org, Umapati Swami says: "Time to retire!"

Retiring from material activity, yes, but why to retire from devotional service?

Srila Prabhupada on retirement: "...... In your letter of the 8th instant you write to say, "but it would be difficult to spread the Mahamantra to the inhabitants here." Our principal aim is to preach the importance of chanting the Holy Names of God. And if there is no such opportunity then the place will be specifically meant for persons who want to retire from activities. To retire from activities is not very good idea for the conditioned soul. I have got very good experience, not only in our country but also in your country, that this tendency of retiring from activities pushes one down to the platform of laziness, and gradually to the ideas of the hippies.

One should always remain active in Krishna's service, otherwise the strong maya will catch him and engage him in her service. Our constitutional position being rendering service, we cannot stop activity. So the New Vrindaban may not be turned into a place of retirement, but some sort of activities must go on there. If there is good prospective land, we should produce some grains, flours, and fruits, and keep cows, so that the inmates may have sufficient work and facility for advancing in Krishna Consciousness...."

    Full letter:

    Sunday, July 14, 1968

    Montreal, Quebec

    My Dear Hayagriva,

Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your two letters dated July 6 and 8, 1968, respectively, along with one letter from Kirtanananda Swami.

My first request to you is that as you are getting a job again, in the Ohio State University, you must accept it without hesitation. In the Bhagavad-gita you have read that one should fully utilize one's talent for the service of the Lord. Arjuna was a military man and he utilized his talent fully for executing the purpose of Lord Sri Krishna. So, by the Grace of Krishna, you have got some educational talent, and wherever there is opportunity to get some money, you must accept it, but spend the money for Krishna.

As you are projecting to develop New Vrindaban, you will require money and I would advise you to purchase land there instead of taking on lease. If you want to take on lease, then it must be on long period, say 99 years; but first hand lease is better, that is from the government. I do not understand what is the position of Mr. Rose there, but I shall advise you not to make any big plans on the land of others.

There is a Bengali proverb that if one is a poor man, he can go to some friends' house and accept food and then come back, but one should never accept residence in other's house. That is very inconvenient. Of course, for a Sannyasi like us, we can live anywhere and everywhere, rather we shoud not have our own place. But for the New Vrindaban project, I would advise you to purchase land as much as you can because it appears that the atmosphere and situation is very nice there.

Another thing, I shall not advise you to purchase horses for conveyance. It will be a botheration for you, because now you have not got sufficient assistance. If you keep horses you have to take care for them and for a little convenience of transportation, you have to take so much botheration to keep the horse fit.

I am so pleased to learn that you have got a Deity Room and you are performing jointly Kirtana, assisted by a newcomer, Harold Olmstead. He may be called Hrsikesa, there is no objection, but generally a Holy Name after Lord Krishna is offered to a devotee after his initiation. Anyway, you can call him Hrsikesa, and the same name will be continued after his initiation also. In the meantime, let him be trained up in our line of activities to observe the rules and regulations and chant Hare Krishna jointly with you.

If there is good prospective land, we should produce some grains, flours, and fruits, and keep cows, so that the inmates may have sufficient work and facility for advancing in Krishna Consciousness.

In India actually the Vrindaban has now become a place of the unemployed, and beggars. Kirtanananda has already seen it; and so there is always a tendency of such degradation if there is no sufficient work for service of Krishna. Another suggestion is that if you can attract some retired men to live there peacefully and at the same time, make oneself advanced in Krishna Consciousness, that will be very nice. But I am afraid that retired men from this country cannot give up their old habits, generally, intoxication, keeping a dog, smoking, etc., and it will be difficult for them to give up such habits even they are invited to live with us in Vrindaban.

Regarding Easy Journey to Other Planets: You can inquire from Mukunda das if he is going to print it or not. If not, then you can do it because you have now some money and spend for its publication. And regarding editorial work, I shall send you some manuscripts very soon.

Regarding visa: I am not prohibited like that, that I cannot enter USA, but the permanent visa ws denied only on some technical ground. There is no impediment about my bona fides. But they have raised an objection because I submitted my application just after a fortnight of my arrival, and they say that I entered USA not as a bona fide non-immigrant. But I submitted my application, after consulting the Indian Embassy, as well as the American Embassy in Calcutta, but I see a different decision at the end.

It is very difficult to take the words of government servants straightly. Canakya Pandit has advised not to trust a politician and a woman, so practically I consulted all these politicians and they have given a different decision. I do not know what is their intention, but for the time being I have not gotten the visa.

My present visa for Canada is up to the end of August. Actually it is up to the third of September, but if I like to stay here, I can extend it, it is not difficult. But I am intending to go to London, and it may be in the meantime I may go to Vancouver.

I am very much anxious about your health. Is it due to the place that you are having hay fever? It sometimes so happens that moist places causes such disturbances. Are there many mosquitoes?

The best thing I can suggest that you try to keep your bowels cleared, and take more fruits and milk. That will keep you healthy.

I hope you will soon feel better,

    Your ever well-wisher,

    A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

    12/19/05 05:08 PM Edit Reply

I can vouch for all the temples but most of the ones I have been in have chairs. You can choose to sit on a chair or on the floor.

The Utah temple has lots of chairs lined up against the walls and most people use them while few sit on the floor.

But to put in "pews" would be an inconvienance. Kirtans and offering spontaneous obeisances would be stifled.

Pews are surely ok for older guests who never practiced asanas throughout their lives. And come to the temple to hear Krishna-katha. Young folks who simply use pews for fun should be disciplined. When visiting a temple for the first time a mataji told me, only animals use spoon, knife and fork for eating, humans should eat with their fingers - and I was convinced immediately. However, take NV, 20 tourist busses every day and such visitors being told to use their hands for eating - bad preaching.

Congratulation for 164 posts Mikey! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

  9. as to the subject of protecting sacred hills. the greed and corruption at all levels of Indian government (and society in general) is obvious. that is the real culprit. too bad the local and international Vaishnavas are busy proclaiming the greatness of their own parivar and arguing with each other instead of working together towards a common good.

Thanks Kulapavana, just found text below that forum efficiency is a big problem in general.

Anonymous: you may offend the 'nice vaisnavas' who believe that islam is a religion of peace. You're committing vaishnav aparadha by attacking muslims.

There're surely nice Vaishnavas among the Muslims - and Lord Chaitanya recruited quite some of those little rascals to chant the Holy Names, Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Kishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare.

Media comments say, to call a thief a thief isnt really aparadha and calling these agressors mining mafia is ok:

"A wide scale activism is going to protect the hills of Braj which contain innumerable heritage spots connected to Krishna but are unfortunately being blasted out by the mining mafia duly supported by the Rajasthan Government."

India Journal, USA, Sep 16, 2005

“A wider afforestation of these hills would restore the ecological balance of the region, resulting in a correction of rainfall patterns, which would, in turn prevent the westward spread of the Rajasthan desert. Revenues can also be generated from the resulting forest wealth and pasturelands in the Braj region, which offer vast potential for eco-tourism and religious tourism." Economic Times, 12th January 2005

"Illegal mining is destroying Braj bhoomi, threatening heritage sites and disturbing ecological balance of the region regarded as the mythological setting for Krishnaleela."

The Times of India, 4th Feb. 2005

“Cattle have suffered immensely since the mining has chipped away at green tracts. Some of the landscape is fabled to have been the setting for the romance of the divine lovers Krishna and Radha, depicted in many art forms.” IANS May 4, 2005

“In a rare protest in the Braj region associated with Lord Krishna, a large number of villagers are holding a round-the-clock ``Harinaam Kirtan`` since June 3 to protest against large-scale quarrying on the sacred hills, lying in the ecologically fragile Taj trapezium zone of this district, in utter contempt of the Rajasthan High Court and Supreme Court orders.”

    ZEE News, July 11th, 2005

“The sacred Braj hills known for the Radha-Krishna courtship are under threat from deforestation, particularly from miner mafia which is denuding the land of all its grandeur.” Deccan Herald, May 8th, 2005

"The mining activity which is going on in Deeg and Kaman tehsils of Bharatpur district of Rajasthan is being done by violating the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India", says Mr. MC Mehta, noted environmentalist and Supreme Court lawyer.

In a recently held seminar in the Constitution Club of Delhi on Brutal Destruction of Heritage Hills in Braj Mr. Mehta commented “The entire Braj region falls within the Taj Trapezium Zone where any kind of polluting activity which includes Mining and Stone crushing is totally banned. Whatsoever mining is happening in the region is clear cut contempt of the Supreme Court of India.”

    Know the real Braj

Often, we ignore the fact that the transcendental pastimes of the Divine Couple Sri Radha Krishna Bhagwan were not performed in the famous temples, posh ashrams or guest houses of Braj-Vrindavan. They were rather performed in the forests, on the banks of river Yamuna, at the numerous Kunds and on the holy hills of Sri Braj Dham. Lord Krishna was the biggest environmentalist. He purified all the five elements of nature. His devotees must protect the environment of Braj.

Out of 48 beautiful forests connected to the Raas leela, only 3 are left in their natural form. Rest have been reduced into barren lands. Their size vary from 5 acres to 350 acres.

Out of over 1000 ancient beautiful Kunds, 80% have been filled with silt, their carved chhatris and ghats have broken down.

Out of 27 beautiful ghats of Yamuna at Vrindavan, only one is left. Rest have been encroached upon or smuggled out of the country. Yamuna is 10 million times more polluted than the tolerance limit.

Several heritage hills bearing footprints of Lord Krishna in Braj are being brutally blasted out by the stone mafia using dynamite.

Criticism or remorse alone won’t suffice and can’t serve the cause of Braj. The destruction of Braj has to be stopped with full force; by the application of mind, body, money, time, resources and power. The original face of the Braj has to be restored.

For the realization of the above mentioned objectives the Braj Rakshak Dal has been constituted

Braj Rakshak Dal is a non political, voluntary organization of Brajwasis, devotees of Shri Radha Krishna Bhagwan, Environmentalists, Activists, Media Persons and Conservationists committed to protect and restore the environment and rich cultural heritage of Shri Braj Dham

In Yajur Veda it is mentioned that whereever the cows roam and graze is Braj.

If these hills are developed as pasture lands for the cattle they would provide rich fodder and would thereby improve the economic condition of the villagers. The hills of Braj have a sloping area of around 72 sq. kms which translates into 17,800 acres. At an average cost of Rs 10,000 per acre these hills can be developed into pasture lands. Thus, with an investment of Rs 18 crore all the hills of Braj can be groomed into green pasture land. Out of this amount of 18 crore the majority chunk would be spent on human labour. Hence without destroying the hills tremendous employment would be generated.

According to the experts engaged by Braj Rakshak Dal one acre land produces around 7,200 kg of grass annually. Thus, the hills of Braj would provide around 1.3 lakh ton of grass. Even by the rate of Rs 1.5 per kg this much grass would earn a revenue of Rs 19 crore 22 lakhs annually.

It is reliably learnt that the Rajasthan government is getting only around 7 crore rupees in revenue from the mining of these hills. The project coordinator of Braj Rakshak Dal Mr. Raghav Mittal (B.Tech, M.Tech, IIT KGP) says, "It is clear that the mining of hills is not justified from even the economic considerations. If these hills are protected and developed as pasture lands then the economy of the region will get a major boost. "

Shri Ramesh Baba of Barsana, who has been crusading for the past 52 years, against vested interests, to protect the natural heritage of Braj, said, “A wider afforestation of these hills and their development as pasture land will would restore the ecological balance of the region resulting in the growth of dairy industry, which is the traditional occupation of the land of Gopal”.

Unfortunately the hazardous synthetic milk is being openly sold in Braj where millions of pilgrims come in the hope of getting pure milk of cows.

    Eco Tourism

As As Braj falls within the golden triangle of Delhi, Agra Jaipur the entire region can be groomed as a happening eco-tourism destination. In the backdrop of these hills, Braj can offer a wonderful experience with its rich culture and vast heritage. Irony is that by paying peanuts as revenue the mine mafia is taking away a huge chunk of stone from the region causing irreparable loss.

  11. It wasnt my intention to critizice, but to make people aware that Muslims not only officially destroyed the WTC but surely wouldnt hesitate one second to also blow up Vrindavan.

Islam is proven militant and to take up the policy of "let's wait&see" surely will cause the Brijbasis even being forced to leave Vrindavan. Indians are like that, for centuries they lived under foreign rule and still thought, we're wise. SB says no, King Pariksit didnt say, welcome kali, yes, please, here are my cows, do as you like. So called peacefulness when it comes to protect religious principles is to be rejected. This is sometimes misunderstood as critizism.

  12. How many forum members does it takes to change a light bulb?

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed.

14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently.

7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs.

1 to move it to the Lighting section.

2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section.

7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs.

5 to flame the spell checkers

    3 to correct spelling/grammar flames.

6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid.

2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp".

15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct.

19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum.

11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum.

36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty.

7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs.

4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's.

3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group.

13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too".

5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy.

4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?".

13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs".

1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.

seems like his movement is not able to solve that problem either. so... why criticize others for lack of power?

It is easy to criticize others. Be careful though, because others can find plenty of reasons to criticize you too.

Journalism - reporting what's actually happening, like in this case destroying Vrindavan with dynamite, whatever the reason might be, is extremely demoniac, doesnt even has to be mentioned. Why call this critizism? That it had to come so far that a whole mining industry is being set up in the Dham with rascal governmental support shows clearly that things were overslept since years when the whole attack on Krishna's Pastime hills started and huge numbers of Muslim immigrants were sent to work in Vrindavan. Should we wait till the water of Radhakund is being used by non-Vaishnavas to clean their tamasic foodstuff? We might hear daily of bombs and killed soldiers in Iraq and think, what's the point, some little dynamite at Govardhan. If that's you - alright, but why attack campaigns to rough up present Iskconites as well, to stop the demolition of stones which were actually touched by Krishna's Lotusfeet?

What do you tell future generations of devotees who find at Vrindavan-forest a huge mine area, run by cow eating candalas?

Vaishnavas have at one point be an united family - may be some havent it realized yet, but the dynamite supply for Vrindavana's Muslim miners is surely build up in order to get the money for future Nobel prize winners. (Sir Alfredo Nobel=inventor of dynamite, http://nobelprize.org/nobel/alfred-nobel/biographical/life-work/)

  14. What Srila Prabhupada always lectured - genuine Vaishnavas share the mercy they received with others and go out and preach. Nobdody in the Holy Dham of Vrindavan listened - "no, "Swamiji" is wrong here, very wrong, we are above, genuine uttama-adikaris, we dont distribute the nectar of bhaki-rasa, we keep it for ourselves."

Now, irony of fate. Since they dont go out to preach others come to Vrindavan in thousands. However, not to gain spiritual knowledge but for economic interests. Muslim mining companies, who do all day one thing, even supported by governmental thumbs up (Ram Janmabhoomi party), blasting off by dynamite the holy spots of Krishna's pastimes, like:

    Brahma Giri

    Nar Narayan Parvat

    Trikoot Parvat

    Mainak Parvat

    Gandh Madan Parvat

    Vindhyanchal Parvat

    Kanakanchal Parvat

    Dhawal Giri

    Dev Sarovar Parvat

    Gaal Parvat

    Tapovan Parvat

    Badrivan Parvat Shantivan Parvat

    Chandanvan Parvat

    Maltivan Parvat

    Harinkhoi Parvat

    Gangotri Parvat

    Jamunotri Parvat

    Haridwar Parvat

    Pighlivani Parvat

    Pashupati Nath Parvat

    Naubari Chaubari Parvat

    Gendua Giriraj Parvat

    Rankadri Parvat

    Rankuvan Parvat

    Ashta Sakhi Parvat

    Charan Pahari

So far all protests via internet appeals end up with a short laugh by Muslim mining company chiefs. Just while reading this new dynamite loads blow off.

And Srila Prabhupada's statements about the actual "power" of the babajis of Radhakund proven 100%.

  15. are like a personal, individual expression or relationship with the virtual content you want to present to the world. For example, if you heard lectures for many years of your spiritual master Bhakti Vaibhava Puri Maharaja, you can also use a domain name related to his biography:

Srila Bhakti Vaibhava Puri Maharaja used to go to the banks of Jahnavi during his five years' stay at Mayapur. There he used to meet the crest Jewel of Paramahansa's, Sri Srimad Bansidas Babaji Maharaj. But Srila Babaji Maharaj did not talk with any one, he only used to show his pipe. The disciple of Srila Babaji Maharaj used to offer coffee to Srila Bhakti Vaibhava Puri Maharaja because Babaji Maharaj used to drink coffee. He used to make notch-potch. Sometimes that was also available to Bhakti Vaibhava Puri Maharaja. Srila Babaji Maharaj was a Maha Bhagavata. He had earned success in parental love for Goura Nitai. His main peculiarity was that he remained always in trance position. He incessantly used to talk with his worshipping deities. Sometimes he laughed by playing jokes with the deities, sometimes he cried and at other times he cried bitterly calling "Oh Hari" who is affectionate for his devotees," O life of my soul Hari", "O Gopal", "O the son of Nanda" etc. In this way he used to call the Lord in His different names. A great deal of people visited him on the banks of the Ganga, but he did not talk with any one and used to talk only with his worshipping deities in a parental loving manner . Though he was very old, he cooked himself for the deities. Sometimes he was under such a trance that he forgot for the service of the deities and even to eat for himself for days together. lt was his significance

TURKMENISTAN: Hare Krishna devotee jailed for seven years

By Felix Corley, Forum 18 News Service

Turkmenistan has today [17 November] jailed a Hare Krishna devotee, Cheper Annaniyazova, for seven years on charges of illegally leaving the country, Forum 18 News Service has learnt. "Cheper tried to get an exit visa to go to Kazakhstan to stay in the temple in Almaty, but was refused," a source close to the Hare Krishna community told Forum 18. "She went anyway, crossing the border to Uzbekistan." Despite a claimed abolition of exit visas, Turkmenistan is to Forum 18's knowledge preventing three religious believers - two Protestants and a Hare Krishna devotee – from leaving the country. Forum 18's source insists that the heavy sentence was imposed at the behest of the MSS secret police to intimidate the Hare Krishna community. Turkmenistan also has the religious prisoner of conscience with the longest jail sentence in the former Soviet Union, former chief mufti Nasrullah ibn Ibadullah who is on a 22 year jail sentence.

One of the first converts to the Hare Krishna faith in Turkmenistan, Cheper Annaniyazova, was sentenced today (17 November) in the capital Ashgabad [Ashgabat] to seven years' imprisonment for illegally crossing the border three years ago. "Cheper tried to get an exit visa to go to Kazakhstan to stay in the temple in Almaty, but was refused," a source close to the Hare Krishna community told Forum 18 News Service. "She went anyway, crossing the border to Uzbekistan." But the source insists the heavy sentence was imposed at the behest of the Ministry of State Security (MSS) secret police to intimidate the Hare Krishna community.

Annaniyazova stayed in Almaty until earlier this year, returning to Turkmenistan when her father fell ill. She arrived home in Ashgabad in May, just too late to see her father before his death. However, when the MSS secret police later discovered she had crossed the border illegally three years earlier she was summoned for interrogation. While admitting she had left without obtaining the necessary exit visa (these are claimed to have been abolished), Annaniyazova protested that many others who had done likewise were not being tried. She insisted she was being persecuted for being prominent in the Hare Krishna community. The Hare Krishna community, along with other religious believers, has experienced continuing persecution (see the F18News religious freedom survey at http://www.forum18.org/Archive.php?article_id=685). Born in 1968, Annaniyazova became a devotee in the late 1980s when Soviet controls on religion were loosened.

Despite the claim to have abolished exit visas, Turkmenistan still denies religious believers permission to leave the country and is currently barring two Protestants and a Hare Krishna devotee (see F18News 9 November 2005 http://www.forum18.org/Archive.php?article_id=685.

In early August Annaniyazova was compulsorily detained in a psychiatric hospital in Ashgabad, where she was held until early September. "She was not injected with anything there – they just did tests and observed her," Forum 18 was told. Prosecutors then lodged a criminal case against her, though she was not arrested in the run-up to her trial, which began on 16 November.

Sources expressed concern that the sentence, handed down by Ashgabad city court, exceeded the five year maximum penalty under Article 214 section 2 of the Criminal Code, which punishes illegal border crossing "committed with preliminary planning and in a group, or using violence or threats". The sources say that Annaniyazova had originally planned to cross with another Hare Krishna devotee, but she changed her mind before they reached the border with Uzbekistan. They say Annaniyazova's lawyer tried to call witnesses who could testify to this, but the court refused to allow this. Had she been tried under Article 214 section 1, which punishes people who cross the border illegally on their own, she would have faced a maximum two year term.

Annaniyazova's friends are now concerned about how she will fare in prison, as she is a vegetarian and no provision is made in prison for vegetarians. They say those punished under Article 214 are also not eligible for amnesty (each year President Saparmurat Niyazov declares a large-scale amnesty during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan). However, her friends say that even were she eligible for amnesty she would not be prepared to swear the oath of loyalty to the president on a copy of the Koran required before prisoners are amnestied.

The oath of loyalty is considered by many religious believers to be blasphemous and reads: "Turkmenistan, you are always with me in my thoughts and in my heart. For the slightest evil against you let my hand be cut off. For the slightest slander about you let my tongue be cut off. At the moment of my betrayal of my motherland, of her sacred banner, of Saparmurat Turkmenbashy [Father of the Turkmens] the Great [i.e. President Saparmurat Niyazov], let my breath stop."

The religious prisoner of conscience with the longest jail sentence in the former Soviet Union is in Turkmenistan. The former chief mufti, Nasrullah ibn Ibadullah, was sentenced to 22 years' imprisonment at a closed trial in Ashgabad in March 2004. The Turkmen government has refused repeated international requests to make the verdict public.

A Jewish father was concerned about his son who was about a year away from his Bar Mitzvah but was sorely lacking in his knowledge of the Jewish faith.

To remedy this he sent his son to Israel to experience his heritage. A year later the young man returned home. "Father, thank you for sending me to the land of our Fathers," the son said. "It was wonderful and enlightening, however, I must confess that while in Israel I converted to Christianity."

"Oy vey," replied the father, "what have I done!" So in the tradition of the patriarchs, he went to his best friend and sought his advice and solace.

"It is amazing that you should come to me," stated his friend. "I too sent my son to Israel and he returned a Christian." So in the tradition of the patriarchs, they went to the Rabbi.

"It is amazing that you should come to me," stated the Rabbi, "I too sent my son to Israel and he returned a Christian. What is happening to our sons? Brothers, we must take this to the Lord," said the Rabbi. They fell to their knees and began to wail and pour out their hearts to the Almighty.

As they prayed the clouds above opened and a Mighty Voice stated:

"Amazing that you should come to Me. I too sent My Son to Israel.....

  18. Policeman below should have better asked his bonafide guru if this was really an order coming from Krishna Himself?

Krishna made me do it, says cross-dressing policeman

    November 16, 2005

Lucknow, India - You cannot call this top cop a plainclothes policeman - not after he appeared on television in a canary-yellow dress, sporting dark-red lipstick, matching nail polish and a nose ring.

State officials have ordered a probe into the behaviour of Devendra Kumar Panda, an inspector general in the Uttar Pradesh state police, which could cost him his job, officials said yesterday.

Panda (57), who believes himself to be the reincarnation of a lady consort of the Hindu amorous god Krishna, claims he is merely exercising his freedom of religion. But his wife, Veena, who is suing him, says he is just a womaniser.

"He is normal at home or when he is chatting on the Internet. He behaves (this way) to get into the company of other women, whom he calls friends."

Panda's cross-dressing came to his superiors' attention after he appeared in court on Saturday in full drag and gave interviews to several local TV channels.

The "government has initiated a probe into Panda's behaviour", said Uttar Pradesh Home Secretary Alok Sinha. "It is a real embarrassment for (the) police force."

Panda said he was only following his faith. "I am just obeying the orders of Lord Krishna. He has asked me to dress up like this."

  19. Dear readers, someone has experience about what is said in article below? "The author shows you many personal and household uses for Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide, and gives you amazing facts about Oxygen (O2), Ozone (O3), and Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) most of us are not even aware of."

What's actually "Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide"?

    By Elizabeth Baker

Then you need "The UnMedical Miracle Oxygen". You can live for weeks without food and for days without water, but without Oxygen you would be dead in minutes. Does this ever concern you? If there were a food or water shortage there would be panic in the streets. Yet there is an Oxygen shortage and no one notices, because unlike eating and drinking, which we are fully aware of, we breathe unconsciously.

Oxygen comprises about 20% of today's atmosphere. Yet air samples taken from ancient ice indicate there was significantly more Oxygen in our atmosphere just a few thousand years ago - as high as 30%! Is that why the biblical patriarchs lived more than 900 years? Where sufficient Oxygen is present, disease cannot live! Two-time Nobel Prize for Medicine winner Otto Warburg stated this in 1966: "Where cells get enough Oxygen, cancer will not, cannot occur."

Unfortunately, due to pollution that began with the Industrial Age and the steady eradication of the world's plant life which makes the Oxygen we breathe, our Oxygen supply is rapidly dwindling, literally right under our noses. For those of us who live in major cities the Oxygen levels can dip to as low as 10%, and even lower indoors.

Is it any wonder, then, that we have so much chronic disease in today's world? We live longer, but we're sicker. Medical pioneers down through the years have been voicing the fact that Oxygen starvation is the leading cause of degenerative disease, but their valuable research has been ignored and even suppressed by the medical and pharmaceutical establishments.

This 119-page, easy-reading, educational book will show you simple, inexpensive ways to increase the amount of Oxygen in your body with no negative side effects. With supplemental Oxygen your body has extra fuel to ward off diseases, speed healing, build healthy cells, reduce fatigue, boost energy, and give you an overall sense of well-being. This is of particular importance to those whose lung function has been impaired by allergies, asthma, smoking, CPOD, and/or emphysema, and also to athletes who seek better performance, endurance, and quicker recovery times. If your body's Oxygen levels are insufficient, no food or food supplement will give you its intended benefit, and you cannot function at your optimum level. The author shows you many personal and household uses for Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide, and gives you amazing facts about Oxygen (O2), Ozone (O3), and Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) most of us are not even aware of.

Oxygen therapy has long been practiced in Europe, and has very recently become an emerging industry in the United States. "Oxygen bars," saunas, and ozonating air and water purifiers are becoming more and more common as word spreads of the amazing health and life-giving properties of Oxygen. "The UnMedical Miracle Oxygen" by Elizabeth Baker will get you up to speed with this developing health megatrend, leading you to better health and a greater sense of well-being.

  20. You said, "too bad it's slanted toward [an un-devotee like] anti-semitic thinking." And that's insulting.

Since it is of very great importance for you to point out that there's no Satan impact to global politics what I found by Googling:

“Three things should be taken care of immediately: fire, disease and debt.” (Chanakya Pandit)

Satan Myth and impact to global politics?

    U.S.National Debt Clock July 2005

    Debt: $7,841,945,678,666

    Your family's Share:$124,884

And so it goes - worldwide - countries in debt, nations in debt, families in debt.

Exposing corruption in the world's monetary (Satan's) system should be pushed. The spirit of Satan is manifested on planet earth through the spirit of "Mammon". People having sold their own souls and bodies to an economic system and its enslavement in exchange for survival. India: thousands of indebted farmers to commit suicide by the command of Satan:

    Brihad-bhägavatamrita 2.3.180

The direct vision of Krishna is the true result of all the devotional practices. Through such vision, one's illusory concept is completely destroyed and one's love for Krishna increases.

Name of the topic, 'The Origins of the Satan Myth and impact to global politics'.

Since you posted quite some quotes from non-Vaishnava source it became evident that you must really be a scholarly person who knows what he's doing when starting a thread about the origins of Satanism, 'The Origins of the Satan Myth and impact to global politics'.

Now when inquiring and posting original quotes from Talmud about who exactly originates from the three SATANIC spheres you seem have entered into a state of helplessness and instead answering with logic&argument calling me names. Why neglect the audarya-fellowship forum rules of refuting quotes from holy books of other religions not by badmouthing but by logic&argument? Instead calling inquiring people names when you feel defeated - isnt that a sign of weakness?

    nityo nityanam cetanas cetananam

    eko yo bahunam vidadhati kaman

"Description of God. He’s nitya. Nitya means eternal. And we living entities, we are also eternal. Na hanyate hanyamane sarire. We, at the present moment, in the material condition, we are changing body. That change of body is called death. Actually, the living entity within the body, he has no death. Na jayate na mriyate va kadacit. This description we have got in the Vedic literature. So God is also nitya, eternal. We are also eternal. God is also cognizant, and we are also cognizant. We have got knowledge, and God has got knowledge. The difference is that I have got knowledge limited within this limit of this body. I have no knowledge what is going on in your body; neither you know what is going on in my body. Therefore, we are individuals. But God is, although individual, He’s spread everywhere. That is God.

Andantara-stha-paramanu-cayantara-stham. God is within this universe, within yourself, within myself, within the atom. Andantara-stha-paramanu... Paramanu means atom. He’s within the atom also. But I, you, we are limited within this body. We are limited. I cannot say that I understand what is going in your body, pains and pleasure. That I cannot say. But I can understand pains and pleasure of my body. So the quality is the same. God has knowledge. You, you, me, we have got knowledge. But our knowledge is limited. God’s knowledge is unlimited. But knowledge is there, cognizant. Therefore the Vedas says nityo nityanam cetanas cetananam. He is the supreme eternal amongst all other eternals. He’s the supreme cognizant amongst all other cognizants. This is the difference.

So Bhagavan means the supreme opulent. Bhaga means opulence. Just like riches, reputation, strength, beauty, knowledge, renunciation. These are called opulences. So every one of us has got little opulences. I have got also little money. You have got also little money. But I cannot claim, neither you can claim that you are the proprietor of all the riches of the world or the universe. That you cannot claim. Nobody can claim. But God can claim. That is the difference. God can claim. As He claims... We understand from the Bhagavad-gita:

    bhoktaram yajna-tapasam

    suhrdam sarva-bhutanam

    jnatva mam santim rcchati

God says that “I am the enjoyer of everything.” We are acting in this material world to enjoy something. We are working day and night to get some fruit of our labor and enjoy it. Everyone, either he’s doing business or he’s a professional man or he’s a worker or anything he is, he’s working very hard, day and night, to enjoy something. So... But we cannot claim that we can enjoy everything in this world. Although we have got the desire, but limited power to enjoy. The unlimited enjoyer is Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Just like we want to enjoy life, family life. We marry one wife. Or, in some countries, more than one wife – two, three, four. But when Krishna married, He married 16,108. So... And sixteen thousand wives were given sixteen thousand palaces. And each wife got ten children. And Krishna also expanded Himself into 16,108. That is God. For us, it is very difficult to maintain even one wife at the present moment. This is the difference. Just try to understand what is the meaning of this word bhagavän. Bhaga means opulence. This is one of the opulences, richness. When Krishna was present on this planet, He was so rich that He could maintain sixteen thousand queens in sixteen thousand very costly palaces, made of marble, the furnitures made of ivory, and the beds were made of silk, and each and every room was decorated, bedecked with jewels, glittering jewels, so that at night there was no need of electricity or lamp. These descriptions are there in the Srimad-Bhagavatam of Krishna’s palace, Krishna’s sixteen thousand wives, Krishna’s expansion into sixteen thousand forms. This is Bhagavan. Bhagavan means unlimitedly potential. That is Bhagavan.

So here in this chapter, we are trying to understand what is Bhagavan. This Krishna consciousness movement means to try to understand what is Bhagavan, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This is our endeavor. It is very difficult to understand Bhagavan, but there is process, you can understand God, or Bhagavan. That process is being described by the Supreme Lord Himself, Bhagavan. Bhagavan uvaca. What is that process?

    mayy asakta-manah partha

    yogam yunjan mad-asrayah

    asamsayam samagram mam

    yatha jnasyasi tac chrnu

“My dear Arjuna, now I shall explain to you. You hear with attention.” Tac chrnu. What is that? Mayy asakta-manah partha. “You have to increase your attachment for Me.” Mayy asakta. Mayi asakta. Mayi means “unto Me,” and äsakti means “attachment.” Mayy asakta-manah. Mind has to be trained up in such a way that you increase your attachment for God, or Krishna.

When we speak of Krishna, you understand “God.” Krishna is one of the names of God. There are many millions of names, of which “Krishna” is the chief. Because this word, Krishna, means all attractive, because He’s fully opulent. Just like if, in this material world, if one man is very rich, he’s attractive. He draws attention of the people in general. If he’s very powerful, he draws attention. If he’s very reputed, famous, he draws attention. If he’s very wise, learned, he draws attention. But Krishna has got all these things in fullness. Therefore, He draws attention of everyone. Therefore His name is Krishna. This “Krishna” means all-attractive. He has got all the attractive features. Therefore He’s called Krishna. So Krishna says: “Just try to increase your attachment for Me. Practice this.” It is not difficult. Just like we have got attachment for something here in this material world. Somebody’s attached to do business, somebody’s attached to woman, somebody’s attached to man, somebody’s attached to riches, somebody’s attached to art, somebody’s attached to... So many things. There are many subject matters of attachment. So attachment we have got. That we cannot deny. Everyone. We have got some attachment for something. That attachment should be transferred for Krishna. That is called Krishna consciousness. We are attached to something with consciousness, not blindly. So we have got the consciousness. When we turn our attachment, or train ourself to increase our attachment for Krishna, that is called bhakti-yogam. Bhakti-yogam. You have heard the name of yoga. Yoga means connecting link. So if you practice this bhakti-yoga, then, gradually, you increase your attachment for Krishna. That is the... It is stated also in the Bhagavad-gita: bhaktya mam abhijanati yavan yas casmi tattvatah. “If you practice bhakti-yoga, that is called bhaktya, then you can understand Me. Not otherwise.”

  22. Mainly people consider the texts of their Holy books as more important than what reveals an arguing philosophical intellect. Fact is most wars in history were/are based on religious disputes, eliminating "Satan", that's what counts - the number of people killed violently. Although our minds say this and that, God is one, we are all his children, fighting/killing is going on in the name of killing Satan/Devil/Shaitan/Demon with full speed. It is all myth - why should myth follow humanity like a shadow? Here just one example, in some ways the Jewish Talmud is considered even more important to the present Jewish faith than the Hebrew Scriptures. Jewish tradition holds that Moses received two Torahs on Mount Sinai. One was a written Torah (contained in the Five Books of Moses known as the Pentateuch). The second was an oral Torah, which according to Jewish tradition was passed from Moses to religious leaders (such as rabbis) from century to century. At the end of the second century of the Common Era (AD) this oral tradition was codified and written down. It was called the Mishnah (Hebrew for "instruction"). A discussion of the Mishnah took place in the academies of Babylonia between the years 200 and 600 CE. The edited and redacted transcript of those discussions and dissertations on the Mishnah is called the Gemara (Aramaic for "completion"). Together, Mishnah and Gemara comprise the Talmud (the written record of what Jews believe is Moses' oral Torah, its meaning, and application). The Talmud says, non-Jewish souls come from the three satanic spheres, while the Jewish soul stems from holiness. The murder of Gentiles (non-Jewish) by Jews is said by the Talmud to be a holy sacrifice to God (Zohar, III, 2276 and I, 38b and 39a) and the killing of Gentiles (non-Jewish) by beheading is especially recommended (Pesachim, 49b). Maimonides says, "Do not have pity for them. Show no mercy unto them. Therefore, if you see one in difficulty of drowning, do not go to his help - it is right to kill him by your own hand by shoving him into a well or in some other way." Isnt this very similiar like getting rid/killing of Satan? And so it goes, Satan is a myth - but the killing goes on...But can a non-Jew convert to Judaism? No, the only thing that counts is if your mother is Jewish, which she would only be if her mother was Jewish and so on. it's quite hard to know usually - some heavy work in the register of births is called for, but it's not unheard of for people to be able to get re-validated by the beth din three or four generations later. If you turned out to be not religiously Jewish, then you're just a regular normal gentile but if your maternal line did come Jewish you'd be called a tinok she'nishba, a child brought up by non-Jews, but we'd still want you back, so to speak.

  23. Haribol Bhakta Don Muntean, seems this topic is of quite some importance for you and you put quite some time to get the details. I did some similiar research about the Ancient Mysteries of Babylonia trying to find out if there's a connection to vedic culture? The descendents of Lucifer intermingled with those who where solely created according God's image and these two are the ones who are fighting till today against each other, two classes of "fallen ones". The fallen angels, and fallen mankind?

"In heaven, there was a beautiful Angel named Lucifer. He was a musician, and also a covering cherub of God's original throne.

He was so beautiful, and held such high rankings among the angels, that he started becoming slightly prideful. He felt that he could do a better job than God Himself could, who according his view made too many foolish mistakes. He started spreading his word to other angels and finally one third of the angels decided to follow Lucifer and created their own agenda, to try to overthrow God. They lost and God cast them out of heaven. At that time, Lucifer's name got changed to Satan. The fallen angels were no longer called angels, but devils/demons.

"Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee." Ezekiel 28:14-17

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." Isaiah 14:12-14

In Genesis chapter three, we see that Satan lied to Eve, and told her to go against what God had told her. Eve fell for Satan's slick deception, just as Satan's trickery was able to cause one third of God's angels to fall. The devil had now caused mankind to fall, by introducing them to sin. Hence now we have two classes of "fallen ones". The fallen angels, and fallen mankind.

God dished out punishments to everyone involved in the Genesis 3 incident. Part of Adam's and Eve's punishment was to be banned from Eden. God's punishment for Satan was one that was not to be fulfilled yet, but in the future. It was a prophecy: "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Genesis 3:15

A person, born from a virgin would crush Satan, but not until after Satan bruised this Saviour's heel ( adopted by Homer, Achilles is killed by Paris with the help of Apollo?).

This prophecy partially happened in Jesus’ first coming here on earth, and will be fully finished at His second coming. The bruising of Jesus' heel was the crucifixion. Satan thought that he could thwart God's plan, if he could create his own false Saviour(s)/gods, and his own false fulfillment of this prophecy. So he did...

"In the days of Lu-Mach did Marduk and the Igigi with Earthlings intermarry."

( God said, let us make men in our image, after our likeness; And God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. )

"And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown." Genesis 6:1-4

Here we now have half-breeds being created. Half Annunki/demon, and half human. The Bible refers to the names of the offspring, and people who carry this tainted bloodline as: Anakims, giants, mighty ones, Emims, Rephaim, Horims, Zamzummims, and the Avims. Not all mighty ones were giants. Sometimes the trait carried genetically would be powers, special intelligence, extra-ordinary talents, etc.

"And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. But with thee [Noah] will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee." Genesis 6:17-18

The Bible explains that the flood happend, because the human bloodline was getting seriously tainted with the demon blood. In fact, only Noah and his sons were pure in their generations, meaning that they didn't have the nefilim blood:

"These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God." Genesis 6:9

The bible says that Noah and his generations were pure, but what about Noah's son's wives? The 'mighty one' gene came through Ham's (one of Noah's sons) wife.

"And the sons of Ham, Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan. And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan. And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth." Genesis 10:6-8

Nimrod is none other than Marduk. Satan finally saw his opportunity to attempt to falsely fulfill the earlier mentioned prophecy in Genesis 3:15. He has all his tools in place.

    Queen Semiramis

Nimrod married a woman named Semiramis. Semiramis became Satan's counterfeit virgin, and Nimrod the counterfeit god, with a son to be born, who will both be claimed to born via immaculate conception, but a reincarnation of Nimrod -the false Saviour.

    The Temple

Semiramis was the Queen of Babylon, and Nimrod was the founder of it, as well as many other major cities. Because of Nimrod's "mighty one" status, he and Semiramis were quickly deified, and considered gods. They came up with celebacy, confessionals, and catholic-type priesthoods. In the bible, Nimrod is known as the god Moloch. In ancient tablets, he's often called Marduk.

    Babylonian gate

Then, Nimrod was killed and shortly after Nimrod's death, Semiramis claimed to be pregnant and said that she was still a virgin. The baby, she said, was the reincarnation of Nimrod. The baby was named Tamuz, and became the false sun god called Baal.

    The Mediatrix

Meanwhile, Semiramis got many goddess names, such as Baalti (meaning The Madonna), The Great Goddess Mother, Queen of Heaven, The Mediatrix, The Mother of Mankind, Astarte, etc.

As time passed, monuments were carved all over the world, of this mother and child. They were known under different names, depending on the part of the world the monument was created. Such as Devaki and Crishna, Isis and Horus, Indrani and Child, etc.

"So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city." Genesis 11:8

At the tower of Babel incident of Genesis 11, God eventually scattered everyone all over the world, and gave them different languages. This is how monuments of the false Nimrod reincarnate and fake virgin started appearing all over the world, with different names.

    CHINA- Shing Moo

    INDIA - Devaki and Crishna

    EPHESUS - Diana

    EGYPT - Isis and Horus

    GREECE - Aphrodite (The Mediatrix)

    ROME - Venus and Jupiter

    ISRAEL - Ashtoreth and Baal

When the Isralites were starting to take possession of the promised land, they were commanded by God to wipe out the inhabitants of the land. This was for two reasons:

    1) There were still a limited number of half breeds - giants in the land, and the promised land was primarily where they dwelt. When one has demon blood coursing through their veins, they are more inherently evil than a regular human being.

    2) Those who weren't the half breeds also had to be eliminated because they worshipped Marduk and his comrades. How did they worship him? By sacrificing their children! Also, every woman in that community was forced to be a temple prostitute at least once in lifetime. No one was left untainted.

Marduk and his buddies were the founders of the ancient Babylon religion. Many of the major rites and rituals of Roman Catholism do not come from the bible, but from this ancient Babylonian religion. Marduk and his wife came up with confessionals, celibacy, and the priesthood as the Roman Catholics portrays it.

Acts chapter 19 tells of Wiccans in Ephesus who worshipped Diana, the goddess. The Wiccan goddess goes under many names, and one of them is Diana. Wiccans worship Semiramis too. Fortunately for the Wiccans that were in Ephesus, they turned to the one true God, and burned their books of curious arts.

Since no one's perfect, God had to make a way to enter heaven and appear perfect before Him, meaning, we'd need our sins washed away. This has been done via Jesus Christ's shed blood, and death on the cross.

Jesus said: "I am the way the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me". John 14:6

    Holy Priestess

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

When Anu the Sublime, King of the Anunaki, and Bel, the lord of Heaven and earth, who decreed the fate of the land, assigned to Marduk, the over-ruling son of Ea, God of righteousness, dominion over earthly man, and made him great among the Igigi, they called Babylon by his illustrious name, made it great on earth, and founded an everlasting kingdom in it, whose foundations are laid so solidly as those of heaven and earth; then Anu and Bel called by name, Hammurabi, the exalted prince, who feared God, to bring about the rule of righteousness in the land, to destroy the wicked and the evil-doers; so that the strong should not harm the weak; so that I should rule over the black-headed people like Shamash, and enlighten the land, to further the well-being of mankind.

Hammurabi, the prince, called of Bel, making riches and increase, enriching Nippur and Dur-ilu beyond compare, sublime patron of E-kur; who reestablished Eridu and purified the worship of E-apsu; who conquered the four quarters of the world, made great the name of Babylon, rejoiced the heart of Marduk, his lord who daily pays his devotions in Saggil; the royal scion whom Sin made."
