  1. Hello Ananta. Yes, this translation originates from the Kena Upanishad.
  2. The atheist definition of God differs quite significantly from that of the Veda's. Their definition is that God must have evolved to become extremely complex, like one of Darwin's organisms evolving over eons of time. On the other hand, the Veda's notion is that God exists outside of time and space and exists within and as all things. Here's an excerpt from the Upanishads: "That which makes the tongue speak but which cannot be spoken by the tongue--that alone is God, not what people worship. That which makes the mind think but which cannot be thought by the mind--that alone is God, not what people worship. That which makes the eye see but which cannot be seen by the eye--that alone is God, not what people worship. If you think that you know God, you know very little, all that you can know are ideas and images of God." -- The Upanishads
  3. No, because it is based on the assumption that "God" is an organism or single entity that must have evolved over time. It's really just a rehash of Christianity's version of "God" regurgitated and presented in atheistic/evolutionary terms.
  4. Haha, i know. Luckily "god" is always around to provide an answer! Anyway, how are you doing on this lovely winters day? ))
  5. Here's an insight: Try to name one aspect of reincarnation that does not involve "god" and you will see that god is involved in all aspects of reincarnation. Because without god, there would be nothing to reincarnate nor anything to reincarnate into, since god is all things visible and invisible.
  6. I enjoyed reading your exposition on Turiya and its relation to the three states. But now I have a question (or two!). Q1 If Turiya is not real while you're identified with and as the three (particularly the waking state) and if the three states are not real while you're identified with and as Turiya, then both must be real and unreal on account that the three states are real when you're ignorant of Turiya, and Turiya is real when you're ignorant of the three states. So my question is this: Is there a way to synthesize Turiya and the three states without diminishing the integrity/reality of the three states and/or Turiya? Q2 Should not the three states (and/or what appears in them - thoughts, emotions, sensations) also be considered real on account that..1. they exist indefinitely in the universal mind (as potential) and 2. they are real while you're ignorant of your true nature? (Is it possible they can be considered real even when you are aware of your true nature?)
