Just like a tumbler for making rocks smooth and shiny, we are put together in this forum like rocks put in a tumbler. We start out rough some jagged even sharp edges, but after some time of "rubbing"/"hitting" against each other we will become smooth and shiny, showing our real color that was covered by dull stone. Hare Krsna, Although i did contemplate before hearing about Krishna, i do not now. Because it is not a solution to anything, since after death the suffering would be worse. Are you a devotee of Krishna? If so, you should work on the Hare Krishna mantra. Mantra meaning "mind release" This is the only solution to hard times in the mind, actually one should learn to use the Mantra to help in the "good" times when we think we are happy too. We need to be equapoised or steady in happiness and in distress. I am responding to this post and words because many years ago when a bhakta boy at our temple did not show for the morning program..... When i was serving Krsna's charnamrta to my initiating guru he asked where so and so bhakta was to me. I said " i dont know " the guru said to me that i should know and find out, since i was his older god brother. I ran up to the brahmacari ashrama and found him and he was only sleeping in but since then i have felt some responsibility for others in Krsna consciousness at least. So since i find your post here where krsna con. is spoken i feel some responcibility towards your condition, and hope some of these words help

after 12 years now working with non devotees has been good since now i have some seniority. They all new in the begining that i was a "hare krsna" and some peers would joke by saying to the boss "didnt you do any back ground research on this guy?" But now since i have become a "pillar" again in this work i have more comfort in relating everything to Krishna and His instructions. And the "boss man" now knows of Prabhupada, and has chanted the Hare Krsna Mantra remembered from a "Hair" album he has. They call George Harrison "bhakta george" when sriman george's song comes on the radio. The new guys who work with me ask questions about Krsna when they hear my radio which has only Prabhupada channel. Because of Krsna's All Atractiveness after sometime of purification from association ,non devotees can relish necter of Krsna's association too if only for a short time. This is my experience hare krsna and good luck!

Hare Krsna, I am posting this to ask of Hansadutta's condition after he suffered the heart attack in summer of '03'? Not that i care too much, but he did do a lot positive/negative for Srila Prabhupada's movement. And i would like to know.

Hare Krsna, I had a strange thought thread the other day(no surpise) and was thinking about court and how one puts his right hand on the bible in america and "swears in". If one is a follower of Krsna or Mohamad and is in court do they use or can they use the proper book?

Hare Krsna Haridhama, You are lamenting your 25th year of age. I remember my 25th back in '83' it also affected me bad, it bothered me. But i had this feeling that i would be a brahmacari for ever and never go anywhere in life. Now 20 years later i can understand how things are and i see how things change over time. I still have great attachment for my service for guru/krsna and more appreciation for what Prabhupada gave us. My body has suffered pain and pleasure and now is more broken down. I have not yet grasped the urgency of taking to Krsna consciousness. The Hare Krsna mantra is still my only shelter for the ups and downs. Happy Birthday! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hare Krsna, In my humble opinion to break a vow is to make a habit of taking on a vow and not keeping it. A vow is a vow and one should keep it and perhaps falldown but get back on track as soon as possible and keep yourself there.

Hare Krsna Prabhus, I am no better than a cow or ass! For i have attachment to my place of birth. And here at my place of birth and where i perform various yajnas for Lord Hari, it has snowed for the first of the season and alot too. I had to shovel the stuff and my kid is out playing in it today.

Hare Krsna prabhu, I once wrote back about "bus hell" saying you should enter that job of bus driver to attone. But i meant it, here were i live there is a need for bus drivers, because it takes a great deal of patience and devotees have that. They pay very well to start(atleast here) To me i like driving so i like the idea of driver(i got a job recently being a post man for rural delivery,driving). So if you dont mind driving that would be an idea, and it helps the world to use mass transit. Just my idea, and think of the fun you could have punishing those who break the rules for paying!

Hare Krsna, My mom has been won over to the strict vegeatarian life, but it took me since i was 17 to convince her and now i am(body)47! She has lots of friends who are on this protein diet they call it the meat diet. The cows used to get this diet but for them it was a problem called keetosis. They would lose a lot of weight and not give milk untill we fixed the problem of keetosis. And like others wrote beans or legumes should be the source for anyone who want to have keetosis.The cows would lust after soybeans when they had it. What worked with my mom was when she read books such as "fast food nation" and other books on the subject of Meat.
