Hello Dear Friends, Im writing this letter to ask for some help about how to get an acupuncture license in Europe (it can be also North of Africa). My Teacher is Korean Buddhist monk and a doctor of acupuncture with licenses from Korea, China and Mongolia. Now he lives in Mongolia but wants to move to Europe or North of Africa. With some good help we have discovered that it is difficult to get a license in France bcs he needs to study French about 3 years and then he needs to study as a doctor there at the university and pass exams and it will take more than 6 years total or even more. We would really love to get some help about any information where it is easier to get an acupuncture license in Europe or North Africa. We understand that Europe includes many countries, that's why you can share any information about any country and we will combine all of this knowledge from you and choose the best one. Thank you very much! Stay in peace.

    Nice to be back here!

Namaskar all, It is nice to see the forum is back. It has been a vade-mecum of spirituality and Hinduism at large, at least for me, as I was so novice about these a few years ago. This forum has been a good platform to share views, discuss substantial things and meet people that had a lot of impact in my life. Still missing so much friends here... I still miss a close friend of mine here, Jndas Ji and so many more learned people...I wish to read more topics from you. Do keep in touch. Kshama

A little Intro & Test Message

Namaste, ya'll... My given name is Reese though I now spell my name "Rij" of course pronounces much the same I have been away from my Sanatana Dharma for some twenty-five-plus-years, aba maiṁ vāpasa ā gayā hūṁ. As for quite the abbreviated "cliffnotes" version of a background: I started out as a harē kr̥ṣṇa in high school and, ironically, much much later after practicing Ashtanga and Vinyasa-style yoga for eight-and-half years, had not made any sort of connection with my Hindu past until recently after my former partner and best friend died of renal cell carcinoma. It's wonderful to be here and to have rediscovered this beautiful and rich tradition!

I just joined this forum yesterday day/ I have few questions about What happens after death? I have finished reading the Great Bhavat Gita about a month ago. It is quite interesting to read the Gita and felt like everyone should read it and try to understand the teachings of Lord Krishna. Since I know Sanskrit from my childhood, I was able to read both Tamil and Sanskrit versions. I am now coming to my question to learned audiences. One (like me) did not practice the Gayatri Mantra though it was taught to me in my childhood, which I felt at my old age, can I get the Nama Japam from a Guruji and practice it sincerely be able to attain my wishes? Since I missed this great opportunity, I am willing to have a rebirth as very sacred soul like Adi Sankara or St Thiagaraja Swamigal and live like a Sanyasi or Siddha Purusha and learn the Vedas, Upanishads, puranas and slogas etc so that I become deserved soul to reach the Lotus Feet of Lord Krishna. Is this a possible wish come true.I need to seek the blessings of learned Guruji. It may look funny to some, but it is my true wish. Thanks for all those who read this post and responses and guidances.

    Namaste

Namaste! Greetings all Beloves Sisters and Brothers of the Hindu Dharma path, I would like to state on the very beginning that I am very happy to be here and therefore I feel with all of my heart that it is the wonderful place to maintain the discussions conncerning our path and that Guru is in everyone and I would like to tell that it is by the nature that all of us are spiritual perceptors and I am not afraid to state that I am such being but I am not an egocentric and I am only purely working with myself without telling anyone who he / she shall do to fulfill on the path as well as I will not participate in the paid Hindu courses whcih I've found on the internet and thought that they are free but they are not. I am not throwing around the advanced expert names for the Gods, Worship and other aspects of working and I work with all of the aspects of the Hindu Dharma even sikhsism without being one but just exploring all of them in balance and without dividing as a true Mystic and what is mysticism is everything that leads toward the inner and outer cleansing and this process goes on eternally and is not going to be finished after a couple of some achievements. I am here not to spam but to share with all of you the experiences and discuss over all aspects of our path and everyday existence, I would like to send my sincere words of Loyalty and Love to the Adepts of the Hindu Dharma path as I will continue my progress naturally and without having any so called temples as this is not my aims, I am not a follower neither but I am loving the Hindu Faith truly and faithfully without making other traditions of Hindu Dharma less important and I work with all of them in balance, thank you for spending time and reading the message I left here with the best wishes for all of you on the path of Hindu Dharma. Om Namah Shivaaya.

    Divine art/ street paintings.

I have always been fascinated and intrigued by the drawings one finds on streets and pavements, even in homes . Some with graphic designs, geometric patterns, stars, flowers, triangles etc. They are done with chalk, paint, powder and whatever . They are commonly seen at high holidays like at Taipusam or Timithee. Is there a name for this "street art"? Are there particular designs used for particular reasons. Ive seen fresh flowers offered on top of the drawings. Is there a book I could read to learn more about this? Appreciate any information supplied .

    Simple Sadhna

In the present age of Kali yuga mantra japa is the yuga dharma, or main process for self realization. It is simple, requires no background qualification, and can be done anywhere at any time. Sit down in a peaceful place and silently chant your mantra. In the beginning start for 10 minutes, and gradually increase. The mind will become fixed and peaceful usually after 30 minutes, and then the more fruitful sadhana will start. Other options for sadhana are puja (worshipping a deity of God), meditation (dhyanam), svadhyaya (self study of scriptures), etc.

    Mantra Sadhna

dear che10, Mantra chanting is excellent work, but you need a guru for mantra diksha, at the lack of guru you suppose lord sada shiv as your guru. after that choose your favorite mantra not attract by its power you think from your heart, which mantra suitable for you. if the mantra has nyash vidhi perform it first, then chanting your mantra after relaxing your mind and body not too slow not too fast, dont think another things or another mantra, respect all mantra but chanting your mantra. dont panic not over excited your chant just like as you talk to your girlfriend, dont think you become superman but your all obstacle slowly get rid, you just want you have good rites and divya mind. believe that you get As far as you expected. my english not so good but i think get the answer.

Two year back, I had a dream where Maha Vishnu appeared in my dream. The dream seemed really realistic and spiritual. Vishnuji appeared in my dream and in my dream i was thanking him for giving me Darshan through Dream to bless me.The dream was highly detailed even though, back then I hadn't taken look at the Hindu god's idols or photos in a detailed way. But, still Vishnuji's appearance was highly detailed just like in the photos/portraits with the four arms, lotus, chakra etc.I could hear slokas and spiritual bells ringing in my ears.i had a vibration all over my body during the dream and got up shivering and sweating. SO my question is, can anyone get dreams about Lord Maha Vishnu giving darshan or not?please explain the meaning of this dream

    Mantra Siddhi? What is it?

Namaste Kali ji, Yes, I would say you are 'chasing mirages' if you attempt to follow all the elaborated performances traditionally expounded. All that rigmarole is totally unnecessary for spiritual awakening. Let us consider the word 'siddhi'. Does it not mean 'perfection?' And perfection of what? Not of thaumaturgic powers, but of the quality of being. Mantra (without any counting) is constantly purifying the mind-stuff. I have been teaching mantra for 45 years and many of my students have experienced samadhi as a result, without any of the traditional claptrap associated. Don't get yourself bogged down by what was done in the past. Kali is right that healing capacities may be realised as a result of mantric practice, but that is a side effect, not the goal. It is not getting siddhis that is the problem (although as he points out there is a danger of ego-inflation as a result), but the mere wanting siddhis is the major obstacle to emancipation, as all want is produced by the ego-sense to begin with. Says the great sage, Sri Ramana Maharshi: “In order to display siddhis, there must be others to recognise them. That means there is no jñana in the one who displays them. Therefore, siddhis are not worth a thought. Jñana alone is to be aimed at and gained.” I rest my case. Warmly, Ramana Baba

By JG Arora It is tragic that though Sanatan Dharma, commonly known as Hinduism, proclaims universal brotherhood and oneness of humanity, and addresses entire humanity as divine children (Shrunvantu vishve amrutasya putraha - Rig Veda: 10-13-1), most of the Hindus have either been killed or converted or driven out from Pakistan and Bangladesh which used to be Hindu lands. And those Hindus who are still left in Pakistan and Bangladesh are being treated with disdain and discrimination; and are being denied even the basic human rights. Genocide and persecution Only a few centuries ago, Hindu religion and culture used to reverberate from Afghanistan to Indonesia. Indian sub-continent including the present day India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan and even Zabol in Iran was Hindu land, and had no Muslim presence till Muhammad bin Qasim’s Arab army attacked Sindh in 711. After repeated invasions, Hindus lost the present day Afghanistan to Muslims in 987. And the areas now known as Pakistan and Bangladesh were lost to Muslims in 1947. Pakistan comprised of two segments: East Pakistan and West Pakistan. In 1971, East Pakistan became Bangladesh, a separate country. Both Pakistan and Bangladesh have been declared as Islamic republics. Hindus have always been threatened and discriminated against in Pakistan and Bangladesh on religious grounds. Though in 1947, Hindus accounted for 24 per cent of the present day Pakistan’s population, now the numbers less than two per cent. Situation is equally grave in Bangladesh where Hindus numbered 31 per cent in 1947, but now number nine per cent. Most of the Hindus / Sikhs have either been driven out, or have been killed or forcibly converted in Pakistan and Bangladesh. However, in India, the present percentage of Muslim population is much higher than that was in 1947. Pakistan and Bangladesh have never explained what they have done to their Hindu population. Hindus suffer constant threats to their lives, security and property in Pak-Bangla lands. Many Hindu temples have been desecrated and destroyed in Pakistan and Bangladesh. There are regular reports of illegal encroachments on Hindu temples and lands, looting of Hindu property, discrimination, persecution, molestation and abduction of Hindu girls both in Pakistan and Bangladesh. During 1970 and 1971, Hindus in East Pakistan (present Bangladesh) underwent massive massacres by the Pakistani army and its collaborators. Over two million Hindus are reported to have been killed in East Pakistan during 1970 and 1971 leading to Indo-Pak war in 1971. Besides, countless Hindu women were dishonoured and kidnapped during this period. As per Dr. Sabyasachi Ghosh-Dastidar’s book, Empire’s last casualty: Indian subcontinent’s vanishing Hindu and other minorities, over three million Hindus have been killed in the process of Islamisation in the area now known as Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan) since India was Partitioned in 1947. This loss of three million lives remain suppressed from the world. Even now, Hindus are facing genocide, terror, persecution, dishonour and atrocities in Bangladesh every day. And there is selective killing of Hindu judges, professionals, teachers, lawyers and civil servants in Bangladesh to smash Hindu resistance. Human rights organisations like Amnesty International are silent spectators of this blatant ethnic cleansing of millions of Hindus. Forcible conversions and marriages The alarming trend of Muslims kidnapping young Hindu girls and forcibly marrying them to Muslims is tormenting Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Though Pak-Bangla media may occasionally report such atrocities, main stream media in India remains silent in this regard. To illustrate the dismal situation, just one such example is given here. It was reported in Pakistan’s premier English daily ‘The Dawn’ dated November 3, 2005 that 19 Hindu girls mostly from Punjab Colony, Karachi were missing from their homes. Relatives of these girls believed that they had been kidnapped and were being forced to change their religion, the press release added. Columnist Irfan Husain’s write up entitled “Conversion Losses” published in The Dawn dated December 3, 2005 relates the tragedy of Hindu parents in Karachi whose three young daughters Reena, Usha and Rima of marriageable age vanished in October, 2005. In a few days, the shocked parents received a courier package containing three identical affidavits from their daughters stating that they had converted to Islam and, therefore, could not live with their Hindu parents. And father of the girls just wailed, “We just sit and stare at each other. For us, life is over.” And this hopeless situation can be the fate of any Hindu parent in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Kidnappings and killings Even during the last few months, thousands of Hindus have been forced to flee Pakistan, and take shelter in India. Increasing incidents of kidnappings, robberies and forcible conversion have rattled Hindu community in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Those unable to pay the ransom are just killed. Hindu film maker Satish Anand’s kidnapping in Karachi and recent release after payment of a huge ransom is just one of such countless examples. In April, 2009 Sikhs in Karzai in Pakistan were targeted to pay fifty million rupees as Jazia, the tax levied on non-Muslims. As the victims could not pay the said Jazia, their houses were looted and destroyed. Discrimination and dispossession Discrimination against Hindus is a fact of life as also a fact of law in Pakistan and Bangladesh. As per Constitution of Pakistan, only a Muslim can be the President or Prime Minister of Pakistan. As per Bangladeshi Constitution too, only a Muslim can be the head of the state. The Vested Property Act was passed in 1965 as “Enemy Property Act” in Pakistan. This law legitimised confiscation of Hindu property. After emergence of Bangladesh in 1971, this Act was renamed as the Vested Property Act in Bangladesh, and the state was made the owner of the Hindus’ property. This Act has legitimised the forfeiture of millions of acres of ancestral Hindu lands. And Hindu lands and properties are being taken over by the government (under the Vested Property Act) to be distributed among Muslims. Way out In 1950, Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan signed an agreement called the Nehru Liaqat Pact under which both the governments undertook to protect life, liberty, religion and safety of the minorities in each other’s country. But the government in India is doing nothing in the ongoing genocide and deprivation of Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is the Indian government’s legal and moral duty to ensure that as per the Nehru-Liaqat Pact of 1950, and as per the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Pakistan and Bangladesh treat their minorities in a human manner. India must also ask Bangladesh to repeal the Vested Properties Act, and restore the lands and properties of Hindus to Hindus. The United Nations Commission on Human Rights must also be approached to redeem the situation. Denial of human rights to Hindus violates UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948. In Pakistan and Bangladesh, Hindus have only the right to suffer and right to silence. Shockingly, the tragedy of Hindus of Pakistan and Bangladesh remains untold by Indian main stream media. India’s callous inaction regarding the pathetic plight of Pak-Bangla Hindus is disgusting. Killing of Hindus in Pakistan, in Bangladesh or even in India is not taken seriously by main stream media, by government or by various political parties or by human rights industry in India. Is it because for some sections in India, only the terrorists, anti-nationals and Pak-Bangla infiltrators are entitled to fundamental and human rights? Will India ever act to save Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh? (The author is the former Chief Commissioner of Income Tax.
