‘’Do what you should and come what may’’

	Hello, everyone !

As far as I became aware very recently from a book on India that was published (in Russian) in Moscow (''India. The Wandering Bliss'' written by Victoria Dmitrieva, talented interpreter and scholar on Hinduism and Sanscrit) renowned swami Muktananda mentioned in 1978 or 1979 that there was a Russian boy aged 10 who resided in Russia then (the Soviet Union or USSR) who would preach the Bhagavad Gita in its true and original meaning.

Although I am a humble person I reckon that there is a probability that swami Muktanada referred to me.

Firstly, I was born on 09th of May, 1969 in Moscow.

Secondly, although I do not belong to any religious group at the moment I can daresay that I am deeply religious person. (As it was mentioned in The Rig Veda: “Truth is one, but the wise men know it as many; God is one, but we can approach Him in many ways.”)

Thirdly, starting on 06th of April, 2018 (prior to the purchase of the above-mentioned book) I started to distribute numerous emails to Russian, European and American activists, politicians, scientists, publicists, celebrities, spiritual leaders and common users of the Internet, Facebook and LiveJournal with the reference to Bhagavad Gita, and namely to one of the the most essential revelations from it: ‘’Do what you should and come what may’’. I can daresay that I mentioned that phrase in my messages and posts starting from 2015 since I consider it as a motto that I try to adhere to. My messages and posts were related to issues that are very sensitive not only to Russian politics but equally to politics of the UK and the USA.

Fourthly, starting from my childhood I have an ability to either predict some events that many other people were not in a position to foresee or to interpret generally available information in a way that many other people failed to perceive in advance. That skill initially helped me in my profession (investment banker) and later allowed me to stay alive when I became a victim of a persecution campaign for my values and political views. Surely, that skill is not unique among humanity but is rather rare. Equally, that ability did not prevent me from making some minor mistakes in the past (either in business or in my private life). (By the way, I think that ''mistakes'' are sometimes an inevitable and essential aspect of a personal growth of an individual. But time and previous experience can surely improve the results that any person may achieve by having that skill. Especially in case a person may avoid illusions that influence all of us.)

I am a former investment banker (former Head of Fixed Income and Equity trading at Gazprombank, a second largest bank in Russia, the banking arm of Gazprom, Russian gas monopoly) who is under tight persecution campaign that was initiated initially by Russian authorities for my public political views and allegations. Equally I can state that authorities and intelligence of several other countries: the United Kingdom, the USA and the State of Israel have been acting in unison with their Russian colleagues.

I am rather fluent in English and studied French in Moscow institute of Finance (current name: University of Finance). Unfortunately I have read Bhagavad Gita not in the original but in Russian only. Although I have recently purchased several textbooks on Sanscrit and Hindi I can't speak or read in these languages yet since that will surely require significant efforts and time.

As per now I am unemployed and destitute. My last position in banking ended with scandal and a further litigation in 2005. Since then I was either unemployed or worked as consultant in insurance, tutor of English, horse groom, cleaner in a Home for the aged, crew member at McDonald's, distributor of a daily newspaper at a tube station (underground).

There were several attempts of my assassination while I resided in the UK (2005 – 2007) and shortly after my forced return to Russia. I presume the Russian authorities prefer me to die of starvation or depression than to kill me directly since my public statements and numerous emails and posts. I reckon my enemies have decided that my assassination would prove all my sensitive allegations about Kremlin, the Russian intelligence and their cooperation with politicians and intelligence of the UK and USA. My professional experience as a former banker and my personal experience as a former witness in a sensitive litigation in the USA against the Russian Federation, as a former aylum-seeker and political refugee may prove unequivocally that politicians of several countries (Russia, the UK and the USA) secretly collaborate in order to instigate conflicts and hostilities to achieve their mutual goals that are kept in secret from the general public.

	Namaskaram,

I have been waking up everyday at 4:50 am and trying to finish my prayers (Perumal Suprabatham, Vishnu sahasranamam and Thiruppavai) before 7:00 am. This is my understanding that the rakashasa kalam starts at 7:00 am and it is ideal to not pray after that.

I have been looking and searching in this forum to confirm my understanding regarding the best time to pray during the day.

I would immensely appreciate any input/advice on this matter.

	Sincerely,

Hello everyone! I have been following this forum for a long time but registered recently and this is my first post. Hope it gets moderator's approval. I am in worry at this moment. I have a neighbor who is jealous of my success. His wife is famous as bad mouth in our whole neighborhood. and almost everyone knows that he spends a lot of money doing tantra-mantra totke and that type of stuff , you know what i mean to say. His wife keeps an eye on my house most of the time throughout the day or when our main door is opened and my family hate this very much. Since we are brahmins from Karade Gotra having Sri Ram as our kuldevta , we have not been affected by the tone-totke done by him on us. We've not confirmed that he has been doing this on us but we are 100% sure that he has tried vashikaran etc(since we do no talk to his family as long as we are in existence if i remember correctly) to bring us under his spell just to be nice and loyal to him like the others neighbors are and since that has failed he is carrying out other cheap tricks. All neighbors know that his family has illegally gotten hold of a peice of land that belongs to his brother. So its not like they do not know anything about him. Even though he is famous for his dark side , he tries to exhibit layman , helpless and "the good guy" outlook. Now the main problem starts here:

Recently I have been noticing some strange behavior by wife. I have noticed that whenever we go for a walk at night she looks at us and then brings food to feed the stray dogs and then they eat their lunch. We tried changing our schedule/time to see if she does it without looking at us. But she doesn't. Whatever the time may be , she first takes a good look at us and then puts food for the dogs to eat. Now am not a stupid person to ignore this behavior thinking that this is "a normal thing". This feeding to dogs has been going on for two years almost but we noticed it recently(may be because of my devotion towards my Ishta Devata) that she looks at us and only then feeds the stray dogs. If she doesn't see us, she doesn't feed them. I know ye ek prakar ke tone-totke ya astrology remedy hai.. Main aadhyaatma bohot padhta hoon. So am not a stupid person to ignore these type of signals and 100% sure , this is a type of remedy done by her , may be upon us. Lal kitab kehta hai ki ketu kharab hai toh khud bhojan karne se pehle kutte ko khana dena chahiye. Ab yeh toh main nai jaanta ki ye shatruon ko bhi shant karne ke kaam aata hai. Krupaya aaplog mujhe batayein ki woh aisa kyun kar rahe hain. What is the motive behind this type of behavior?? Thank you.

Namaskar to All the Hindus in this Forum.

I found this site through the awesome post on Narendra Modi's rare pictures, Thanks a lot you are doing great work. i was very happy to see our PM's erstwhile life as a Sanyasi. Ache Din Aa Gaye hain, for India and I hope for Hinduism too.

I am posting here for feedback, please tell me if this post is not appropriate. I'm only adding it here as some of you might find it useful and I might get some feedback.

I am the creator of www.allhindutemples.com The Global Hindu Temples Directory.

I was very frustrated with the temples in our area not having their contact details and addresses listed very clearly on their website. Even when the Temple has a website, often they would not have the important details like opening hours and address / phone number listed on the home page, I would have to go digging deep to find this information.

I created this website to address the problem for myself and thought some of your visitors might like it as well, the site link is www.allhindutemples.com

It is a Hindu temples directory covering temples all around the world, also shows their address, phone number and other important contacts on a Google map page. You can browse by country / City / or region or simply go worldwide and click / zoom through to your region.

Currently it is still being worked upon and I am improving the database behind it to add other countries but it does have around a 1000 Hindu temples all around the world (Outside India)

If you have any feedback about the site, please feel free to send it to me at the following email address : admin at allhindutemples (dot) com or simply leave a comment on the page.

It is also on Facebook if people want to keep in touch www.facebook.com/allhindutemples. If you have any feedback (positive or negative) please feel free to share them with me. Thanks for your time.

PS: It is also mobile friendly and should geolocate to show you the nearest temples to you if you decide to share your location.

You can see the Hindu temples in any Country by changing the country name in this format:

Namaste,

I found a mantra that helps a sadhaka get siddhi of any other mantras; it's called Shiva Guru Mantra.

This is surely a blessing for a sadhaka without a guru. But there are no further details for chanting the mantra, like for how many times or days, etc. Is there anyone who has seen this mantra? I have known this mantra for some time, but can not find any other information on the net; so I have not got enough confidence to start chanting. Should we keep chanting the mantra every day OR we may chant it for a period of time like 7 days only and chant it again right before chanting a new mantra? Please if you have surrendered to Lord Shiva and are aware of such a guru mantra, please be sure to tell us the details. I can't say how much I appreciate your help...

Om Shivaya Namah!

I have been to see 5 Indian masters and only two of them said anything to me showing psychic vision (maybe three but the third case was kind of unclear). I must also note though that I only met with all of them briefly. I am wondering if anyone has experience with these enlightened saints? It seems to me that the case maybe has been somewhat exaggerated and that they are not as powerful as they have been made out to be. Maybe someone like Neem Karoli Baba, Sai Baba of Shirdi, or Bhagavan Nityananda all had powers, but I don't hear about any modern day saints having these kinds of powers. I would like it if Hindu saints would give an explanation of their powers so that the people who go to see them have an understanding of what to expect and the limitations of what a saint can do. Maybe if anyone knows anything about the Naths, Siddhars, and Aghoris I would be interested to hear more about them too.

Is Shiva on Drugs?

I am pretty new to Hinduism and doing my best to learn on my own. This can be hard without the help of an enlightened Guru, especially when most of the time I end up turning to the internet for help. For instance, I was trying to learn about Maha Shivaratri as it is coming up soon but I came across an interesting article.

The article was posted on About.com in regards to Shivaratri. The article can be found here:

http://hinduism.about.com/od/lordshiva/p/shiva.htm

The article states that:

"Since Shiva is regarded as a mighty destructive power, to numb his negative potentials he is fed with opium and is also termed as 'Bhole Shankar', one who is oblivious of the world."

I have never heard this before. Is this true? Does Shiva need to take mind-altering substances in order to maintain his temper?

Also, I read that some people take mind altering substances on Shivaratri. Is this true?

I would welcome any comments or additional information on this subject. Thanks.

OM NAMAH SHIVAYA!

Hello! I want to buy some books for my daughter's first birthday. I live in Europe and am not Indian. I am a practitioner of Kundalini Tantra and have a deep reverence for the ancient wisdom of the Vedas and pre-Vedic mythology.

What children's books do you recommend for a baby/young toddler that tell the tales of the Vedas? I want to immerse her in the great myths from a young age. Please include links if you can.

Thank you!

Act. Do not react.

--Sri Ravi Shankar

Sin is never in action. It is always in reaction.

-- Swami Chinmayananda

Virtuous ( proactive) action increases intelligence, while sinful ( reactive ) acts decreases intelligence.

--Vidura Neeti ( Mahabharatha )

If you want to progress in your life and grow, act not to react.

--Harbhajan Yogi Bhajan

Respond. Do not react.

--Osho

Just stay focused. Don't react. Just be a witness and you will see the magic of it.

--Swami Chidanand Saraswati

Be proactive. Do not be reactive.

--Stephen Covey ( Author of 7 habits of highly effective people )

Habitually we react to external stimuli, that is we are generally overwhelmed by retaliatory emotional forces within us demanding appropriate action. But surely this cannot be called 'action' , it is in fact ' re-action' . Discipline of the reasoning mind controls the reactive forces and results in appropriate 'action' rather than 're-action', one should endeavour to establish control and avoid retaliatory behaviour.

--Acharya Mahaprajna

Quality of life depends on what happens in the space between stimulus and response.

-- Stephen Covey

Because of the space between stimulus and response, people have the power of choice; therefore, leaders are neither born nor made — meaning environmentally trained and nurtured. They are self-made through chosen responses, and if they choose based on principles and develop increasingly
greater discipline, their freedom to choose increases.

-- Stephen Covey

Reaction is unconscious. You do not know exactly that you are being manipulated. You are not aware that you are behaving like a slave, not like a master. Action out of consciousness is response.

-- Osho

You can act in two ways -- one is reaction, another is response.

Reaction comes out of your past conditionings; it is mechanical.

Response comes out of your presence, awareness, consciousness; it is non-mechanical.

The ability to respond is one of the greatest principles of growth. You are not following any order, any commandment; you are simply following your awareness. You are functioning like a mirror, reflecting the situation and responding to it -- not out of your memory from past experiences of similar situations, not repeating your reactions, but acting fresh, new, in this very moment. Neither the situation is old, nor your response -- both are new.

-- Osho

One who is obsessed with worldly pursuits, one who is body-oriented, cannot really go into this. We need to develop a distance from our mind and not give in to impulsiveness. Those who react are the ones who are living mindlessly. So in a way, we can say that living mindfully is being in meditation.

-- Anandmurti Gurumaa

So action which is born of reaction breeds sorrow. Most of our thoughts are the result of the past, of time. A mind that is not built on the past, that has totally understood this whole process of reaction, can act every minute totally, completely, wholly.

— J. Krishnamurti

Action which is born of reaction breeds sorrow.
