Snana Yatra in Puri, 2007 (Bathing of Lord Jagannatha)

A short video of the annual snana yatra festival in Puri (bathing of Lord Jagannatha) recorded in June, 2007.

Once a year the deities of Jagannatha, Balabhadra and Subhadra are taken out of the temple for a bathing ceremony. This occurs approximately two weeks before the Ratha Yatra festival. Lord Jagannatha is dressed in hativesh, the "elephant dress".
