Dear Devotees,

 

I am a new member to this respected forum of Lord Muruga. I recently

started chanting the mantra " Om Saravana Bhavaya Namaha " . My friend

mentioned to me that this mantra has power & efficacy to fulfill all

wishes. Please let me know the experiences you all had of Lord Muruga.

I am a somewhat new member also and have recently begun chanting murugan mantra. I find it brings bliss and tears of joy, particularly when concentrating on six pointed star. My psychological state has improved dramaticaly. I used to have a difficult time rationalizing with religion and never making any progress but lord murugan rescued me. I found myself in the happiness of finally knowing childlike faith, so a big obstacle was removed from me and a boon granted that has saved me from wandering about aimlessly.

I hope you can share also your experiences.

i would like to narrate my experience. this happened in 1976 i was 34 year old working in a mul;tinatioatioanl bank with two daughters. suddenly i noticed that on my hands and legs below knees the skin started changing the colors and doctors confirmed it is vitilago or pigmentation of the skin and no medicines there to cure.they also said it will spread over the body .my mother an aredent devotee of lord muruga consoled me and told me that there is nothing to worry just recite kandashashti kavacham .i accepted her as my guru and started reciing twice a day and within a fortnight the entire thing vanished and my skin became perfect.it is becoze of him only i got cured.it is the shadaksharanamam which saved me from this [roblem as well as many other. sanajohn2000 <sanajohn2000 wrote:

Om Guhaya Namha!

 

I really enjoyed reading the messages on chanting Lord Muruga's mantra.

 

One very effective way to unleash the power of mantras is to chant it

all the time (versus a fixed number of times such as 108 times). I

learned about this concept from the teachnings of Mata

Amritanandamayi. The method is simple: chant the mantra ALL the time -

while driving to work, taking a shower, cooking, waiting at the

doctor's office, sitting through a meeting or doing whatever.

 

Eventhough I have known about this method for a long time, I continue

to be a student of it. I still catch myself not chanting the mantra

many times.

 

Looking back, since I started practising this method of chanting (or

trying to chant) the mantra all the time my devotion to Lord Muruga

has certainly strenghthened. Many avenues to learn about Lord Muruga

opened up for me. Skanda Purana, Kaumaram web site, www.murugan.org,

this very forum of Murugan devotees all came into my life after I

started chanting the mantra.
