Lakshmana Temple at Thirumuzhikkalam, Kerala


Located near Ernakulam, locals call this Temple as Muzhikkalam, one of the most exquisitely scenic divya-desam Temples. The Lord revealed the Srisukti (or Thirumozhi) to sage Harita at this place. Thirumozhi means “sacred language”. Kalam means “place” in Malayalam. Thirumozhikkalam or “the place of the sacred revelation” morphed over time to Thirumuzhikkalam. The Lord is known is Thirumuzhikkalathan, or “the Lord of Thirumuzhikkalam”. He is also known as Appan, or “the Father” and Srisuktinatha.

Mystery of the Unclimbed Peak – What Makes Mount Kailash So Intriguing?

You must have known the fact that beautiful Mount Kailash in Tibet has never been climbed by any mountaineer. It is heard in stories that a mystic Tibetan Seer and poet named Milarepa is the only human being who has been able to climb the peak of Mount Kailash. It was over about some 900 years ago, and since then we have just heard the stories of how nobody has been able to reaching the summit of this unclimbable peak.

Pancharama Kshetras of Tarakasura

Pancharama kshetras are five (pancha) Shiva Linga Kshetras situated in the present day Andhra Pradesh. These kshetras are also called “Aramas” (places), hence the name “Pancharamalu”. The significance of these temples is that all the Shivalingas are formed by a single Shivalinga which was worn by the demon Tarakasura.

Miraculous Shiva Temple Situated Near Bhava Nagar in Arabian Sea at Gujarat

Nishkalangeshwar is one of the wonderful, glorious temples in the world. This temple is situated near Bhava Nagar in the Arabian sea, at Gujarat. The main deity is Lord Shiva.People reach out to the Shiva temple about 1.5 kilometers into the sea. In this historic place, Pandavas, the heroic brothers worshipped the lingas that are symbolic of Lord Shiva after the fierce battle in which they killed their evil cousins as narrated in the epic Mahabharat. The legend says, they established 5 Shiva Lingas at this place and prayed to Lord Shiva to remove all their sins.
