dear Sir, > >My name is Raghunatha Anudasa, school friend of Vrindavan das from
our Vrindavan school guru-kula days in India. Vridavan das is known on the Vedic
conference as Brin Davan. I had written to him commenting about the Ayodhaya
situation and he responded--below--that I contact you and share my ideas. He
felt you would find them interesting. > >In short, Rama has tricked the Muslims
into bowing down to him when he had them build their mosque at Rama's birth
place and Krsna's birth place. > >What this reasoning does is change the
context of the debate from one of confrontation to that of one-up-manship in
worship wherein the muslims have to 2nd guess themselves in the worship they
are doing in these holy places. For them to hear that hindus are encouraging
them to worship at these places will make them uneasy about doing so. The more
muslims try an debate the issue, the more they are exposed to the host of
historical facts demonstrating that their primary places of worship and history
are taken from hindu worship and Vedic times. Most of these facts are all newly
discovered in just the last few years. This line of reasoning provides a forum
to show Muslims that even Mecca was origanally a hindu temple as was the Taj
Mahal--as some Hindu professors say with some interesting facts. Few things
would allow us to introduce these considerations into the muslim dialogue like
the Rama temple political firestorm. I have some ideas how we may approach
this, but we can discuss those later should you be interested. > >Vrindavan
also refferred to ROOPA which is the other project I am working on. In short,
ROOPA simply points out that we are spending upto a trillion dollars a year in
the US covering the social cost of the four sinful activities that brahminical
culture avoids: no intoxication, meat eating, gambling and illicit sex. If we
did not have to cover those cost, the average American' family would be able to
save $10,000 to $20,000 dollars a year in reduced insurance premiums and taxes.
Social cost includes for example with alchohol, liver cancer, drunk driving,
spausal abuse etc. > >For every person engaged in the four sinful activities in
the US, we spend upto $3 million dollars in direct social cost over their 40 to
60 year life span. The flip side of this is that we save upto $3 million
dollars in direct social cost for each person turned to the brahminical
lifestyle of no meat eating, intoxication, gabling and illicit sex. Therefore
the greatest economic contribution is offered by the sadhus and saints and
preachers who turn people from the ways of vice to the ways of virtue. > >This
in turn duplicates Varna Asrama Dharam wherein the Sadhus and guru is the CEO
of their society while those engaged in sinful activities are at the bottom of
the social latter. Why, because Varna Asrama is the most cost effective social
system. This is just the opposite of the West were preachers, saints and
religion along with parents and moms are at the bottom of America's social
economic scene while those promoting the economic liabilities of sinful life
are the top CEO's. > >This is more fully explained at www.ROOPA.org should you
care to review it further. Please feel free to contact me any time. Thank you
for the sacrifices and intigrity with which you maintain this varna asrama
dharma and Vedic traditions for it does wonders for those of us attempting to
grasp its treasures of the heart and soul and economy. > >Yours sincerely, >
