Default [vedic-culture] Duplicate Posting/Vedic Culture is Living Culture

Some people suggest that in order for the Vedic view of history and science to
be accepted, we must remove religion and politics from the equation. However,
this view lacks logic and credibility due to the fact that Vedic culture is a
living culture. If one ignores the religion or politics of ancient Egypt,
Sumeria, Mexico etc. during research of these ancient cultures, it would be
extremely difficult, if not impossible, to arrive at an accurate understanding
of these cultures. Politics and Religion are symptoms of an active, thriving
culture. They decide the day to day turn of events and are what history is made
of. Because India's Vedic culture is an existing phenomenon, the idea of
separating the political and religious aspects of the culture, in order to
promote accurate research of the culture, shows a complete lack of logic. When
we talk about other ancient cultures, such as Egypts, we are talking about a
culture and civilization that is basically no longer existing. In such a case,
it makes sense to present the culture in a detatched way, and present ancient
Egyptian's politics or religion, as past historical events, with little or no
bearing on present day reality. However this method, when applied to Vedic
historical research, completely fails in presenting the correct understanding of
the ancient Vedic record. This is one reason why Western academia has failed so
miserably in its attempts at presenting India's history. The same rules that
scholars use to study extinct cultures can not and should not be applied to the
study of living cultures. This truth is self evident as soon as anyone with a
little background in Vedic studies is exposed to the current mainstream views on
India's Vedic culture. These views are so blatantly biased and incorrect, that
it becomes impossible to accept any of their theories, on any culture. In other
words, if they are wrong about a present day living culture, then one can only
imagine how far off the mark they are about long extinct cultures and
civilizations. Namaste
