It is my humble request to help My friend , Ekta, who is suffering from a severe
back pain since last couple of months. Despite of consulting doctors and
specialists, there is no respite in her pain. I am sure there would be some
remedy which would help her easing the pain over the time and seeking your

Chintan,

The pain is due to an afflicted Saturn, the lagna lord. Her Saturn
is vakra or retrograde and is being aspected by Mars. This mutual
aspect between Saturn and Mars creates tension in the body's system.
She is now running the pratyantara dasha of Saturn.

To relieve this stress due to the effects of the grahas, she should
wear a gem for Saturn, blue sapphire, and should be set in a steel
ring. She should also take up Iyengar yoga and select those asanas
appropriate for back pains.

She should be aware that she has a pitta constitution and should
strive on balancing her doshas. Specifically, she should eat mostly
vegetables and avoid hot foods. She should consult an ayurvedic

This is Ekta. Thanks for replying to the message. Here are the details.

Since i am a computer professional, i sit a lot, i had coccyx pain once before i
got married on March 17 2002. i got pregnant & delivered a baby girl on Jan11
2003.
Normal delivery excpt that the baby died in 12-15 minutes as it could not breathe.
After my delivery.....i have this pain in my lower back & coccyx too. it just
does not go. i am not able to sit for more than 15 minutes...if i sit for more
i have to sit on my side hip.
i cannot go out anywhere cos i am not able to walk for more than 15-30 minutes a
lot. i was very active but this has become a handicap for me now. I am 31 now &
would like to concive, but cannot think about it till my pain does not go.

Can you help ????

You will have to forgive me if i do not reply ASAP......cos i cannot sit on the
comp too much now.
Regarding the questions:
1. No i do not know anything about jyotish, but my friend chintan knows & like u
he is in the learning phase. but i do believe in jyotish to a good extent. Also
i am right now wearing a yellow sapphire( i was not getting married) locket
given to be by a tantric i knew, since the last 2 yrs. I am also wearing a
pearl ring( to check in the temper ). The tantric told me a lot of things which
came very true in my life & about 2yrs ago he advised me against wearing a blue
sapphire at that time cos i had 'chandal yog'....he recently passed away....so
i do not know about now.

2. regarding the doctors.....the doctors( i visited one last 4 monts ago ) have
not told me anything except that there is a swelling in the back.& given me
some tablets, which worked for a moment & the pain came back again.....I went
to an ayurvedic physician.....who took of most of the swelling & a bit of
pain......the medicines are over but the pain is still there.....i am sitting
on my hip as i write.
3. & circulatory problems...Well no body, no doctors has told me about
this....nothing absolutely. BUT i very clearly remember one day i was sleeping
& i suddenly woke up 5 in the morning cos i clearly felt blood passing through
my spine in the lower back.....i remember it very clearly cos i noted the time
& slept again with a smile as i felt that i would never have any pain
again.....but by 10 in the morning it was back to normal.
It has only happened once.

4. Bach Flower Essences. Well i know it has got something to do with the flower
threapy....something like aroma threapy. Like you take an extract out of a
flower & treat the patient with the extract....I tried homeopathy for a month,
could not try it more cos then my in-laws are from the ayurveda culture & i had
to go in for ayurveda....& i guess you cannot mix homeopathy & ayurveda right
???? At this stage i am ready to try anything.

lower back pain. Do you do any Jyotish yourself? I ask as I'm wondering how
much information you are interested in from that perspective. Your chart
clearly shows this what you're experiencing and the difficult transits and
stationing of both Mars and Saturn in these last couple months have created
much difficulty for many. In your chart in particular, these transits are
aggravating your pain. I will explain more after your response, then knowing
how much information you want regarding the astrological perspective.

Also, dear Ekta, I practice Bach Flower Essences and you may have heard about
them. I will be happy to suggest which ones and they are available in many,
many countries and no doubt where you live. I think that they would also be a
help for you. Please let me know if you do not know anything about them.

Currently the transiting Sun which is in your lagna in your chart, is in transit
in Libra, Sun in debility... this is exacerbating your back problems and I'm
sure they became even worse these last few weeks. Although these transits that
have greatly contributed to this getting worse began earlier. Also Mars
stationed and has remained in Satabisha for a good long time while you've had
these difficulties which makes the exact diagnosis more difficult for doctors.
Mars will go out of Satabisha on November 16th and I think that may help as far
as the doctors ability to see what the problem is.

Please know Ekta that I am still in a very much learning level of doing Jyotish
and only wish to contribute to helping here as it's clear the reasons for your
back pain. I mentioned also the Bach remedies as they are very, very good for
healing and helping to ease the pain of your huge loss.

Also I want to ask you about your circulation? Do you have some circulatory
problems? Thank you for sharing your personal information and the details of
this and your loss. I will be happy to write to you of my thoughts and what I
see in your chart in this regard but I want you to be aware of my stage of
learning of Jyotish.

This is remarkable information that you sent with this specific information
regarding Ekta's pain. When I wrote asking specifically for where the pain was
in her back this was because looking at her chart it would look like lower back
pain and specially tailbone or coccyx.

In Ekta's chart she is an Aquarius Lagna. Immediately her chart shows a RSaturn
lagnesh in Moon's star and Moon ruling 7H, and this RSaturn aspecting 7H from
the 5H with a mutual aspect with Mars. Also RSaturn in Moon's sign Cancer in
navamsa, in Mars star. Chart shows Venus/Rahu/Jupiter in her 12H. (In KP chart
Libra is her 9H and cusp sub lord is Jupiter.) For lower back pain we are to
look to Libra and the 7H and Venus. Venus ruling the natural 7H Libra and lower
back, is in Ekta's 12H with Rahu and Jupiter, in Jupiter ruled Sagittarius,
natural ruler of 9H and hips. Navamsa has Rahu/Venus in Libra.

What's interesting here is that in rasi both Venus and Rahu are in Venus star
Purva Ashada in very close conjunction. Purva Ashada rules hips, thighs, the
coccygeal and sacral regions of the spine and some arteries and veins. And the
deity for Purva Ashada is Varuna a water deity, lord of rivers and oceans.
There is more that just continues to repeat this pattern in this chart.

I'm going to write you directly Ekta but wanted to share this much with the list
so all here can see the clear indications from your chart. Thank you so much for
sharing this further information and I'm very sorry to hear of your loss and
this pain.

Thank you Ekta for your response and specific experiences with this pain. Since
Ekta's response was sent also on list I will reply here as well.

This is very interesting as Purva Ashada rules the iliac arteries and veins,
along with hips, thighs, the coccygeal and sacral regions of the spine . As I
mentioned before Varuna is the deity of Purva Ashada and rules rivers and
oceans, and my thinking then was to perhaps look at circulation. Also from what
you've said Ekta about not being able to sit long in positions I'm thinking this
may follow along with this, however I'm not a doctor and don't know anything
about what the symptoms would indicate.

Interestingly though with this chart Rahu really is lord of her ascendant and
Rahu is in this very close conjunction with Venus in Purva Ashada, a Venus
ruled star, in 12H Sagittarius. As mentioned earlier also Jupiter in sandhi
conjoined Venus/Rahu as well. And from my book of reference, Jupiter rules
'circulation of blood, arterial'. Jupiter in Sun's star and Sun in Lagna.
Circulation of veins in reference is shown as Venus. In navamsa chart Venus is
in Rahu's star conjoined Rahu with Rahu in Jupiter's star in Venus ruled Libra.
Jupiter vargottam but in sandhi again and in Sagittarius and again Sagittarius
rules sacral region of the spine.

Perhaps others can suggest with mantras but it would seem along with getting
this help from the professional doctors mantras for Rahu and Venus. Would this
be correct? What are the thoughts of those on list? Rahu as lord of ascendent
and involved in this difficulty. And Venus also. Ekta says she is wearing a gem
for Jupiter. It's important to strengthen sandhi planets correct, and in her
chart Jupiter, and she was given the yellow sapphire by the tantric gentleman.
Would those more knowledgeable recommend the stone or chanting as Jupiter owns
3 and 12H. I am asking so as to understand as I know nothing about recommending
stones which are very powerful.

As far as taking Ayurveda and homeopathy there is no conflict there and you can
do both. The Bach Flowers are not really even considered 'homeopathy' but work
also on an energetic level. They do not interfere with anything nor are they
effected in any negative way by anything whether that be homeopathy, Ayurveda,
or medicines.

I was suggesting the Bach Flowers Ekta also due to your terrible loss and the
flowers are chosen by your current emotional state. They are healing for things
like the shock and loss and grief you suffered and are effective no matter when
they are taken, whether that be while going through something or many years
later.
