Default How to determine higher education? - 06-05-2003, 10:47 AM

Dear Members:

Inspite of trying very hard, I am not able to find a formula of
delineating higher education in a chart. I know we should be looking
at Siddhamsa (D-24) to determine a person's academic achievements.
But that is about it. Beyond that I don't know what to look at.

Any help would be so much appreciated.

Namaste.

Rageshwari.

Dear Rajeswari,

My goodness, for the first time, I am able to reply with my little
knowledge on a question in this board.

The rules, I have learned from Narayana Ji's Achyuta CD are as
follows for the Education:

Bachelors education is shown by 9H/L and Masters education by 2H/L. D-
24 also known as ChaturVimsamsa is the division used for analyzing
Education & Learning.

Learning & Education: D24

4H/L - Formal Education (Grade 1 - 12),
9H/L - Bachelors Degree
2H/L - Masters Degree,
7H/L - Ph.D,
Progress 6 Houses every time for further

Hope this is helpful to you.

Regards
Rao

Rageshwari,

I had thought higher education was to be seen from 9th
house, but Shri Chandrashekharji clarified that
'higher' for 9th meant spiritual learning.

So if it is Formal education, one probably looks at
4th house (in D1 and D24). Chandrashekharji also
suggested looking up 2nd house which is a Vidya
sthana.

Kind regards
Ramesh

Respected Gursus and Dear Friends,
Pranama (after two months),

In Jyotisha, wether the concern matter is higher education or
anything else, nothing can be judged by taking a single house or
only significator planet. All is the result of balanced analysis.

It might be possible that you found a person, knowledable and wise
but have no university degree or certification. On the other hand,
it might be possible that a reputed position holder of university
donot have any conceptual backgroud of his study.
As far as the higher education MS, M.Phil, Ph.D etc. is concern 9th
house has significance importance with 12th and 8th houses.
Remember to exclude college graduation, job-oriented certifications
and MBA's which gererally based on 4th and 5th houses with Rajastic
urge, i.e. those degree people attain to get good jobs and higher
earning. While the possibilty of school education can be seen from
2nd and 4th houses.

As the higher education requires deep insight and thorough
investigation, ability to peep into hidden part and understand the
philosphy of subject. Therefore 12th and 8th house provides these
qualities and 9th supports oppurtunites(luck) besides, "desire to
learn philosophical studies". But 8th and 12th can not be ignored.
(why?). Just look into the charts of reknwon researchers, savants
and learners. (Karl Marx, Bertrend Russel, Einstein, Bernard Shaw,
Jeddu Krishnamurthi etc). Even charts of B.Suryanarine Rao and
P.V.R. Narasimha Rao are good examples of my notion.
But the strength of 9th must be greater than Rajasic Bhavas 2nd,7th,
10th and 11th-The houses for worldly activities (Why?). If 2nd and
7th over come then one must be involve in his spouse, and family
matters and found no time for research. Similarly if 10th+11th is
powerful then he always try to increase earning and busy in
job/profession instead of thinking and studying, he will prefer to
career and give up study.

A positive correlation between Gnan Karaka Jupiter with Mercury-the
Buddi is assmued highly conductive for the fructification of higher
education. The association of Sun assures fame, and official
recognitions, medals and national awards. Reasearch projects
sponserded by governmental agencies etc. Mercury yields writing and
speaking skills, (a good report writer and presenter). Saturn gives
logical insights and interest in old and hidden aspects, like
history, ethics, astrology and archialogical studies.

Warm Regards
M.IMRAN

Dear Imranji,

Thank you for providing your insights. I would compile my response to
this and send it to you and the group in a few days. I definitely
want to apply your method and see if I can come up with good analysis.

Namaste.

Rageshwari.
