Today morning I was going through a book titled Retrograde planets and their
effects.Author:Allan Leo.
Normally outer planets when become retrograde they are supposed to become .Then
we have to also look from the point of Avastha of the planet to asses it's
strength and take into account kaal bal and dikbal(part of shadbal).while in
lagna definetely jupiter has strength as an angle but the same canot be
attributed in the 7th as it is just 180 degrees opposite to lagna.The position
of saturn however is different and in 7th it becomes strongest and if retrograde
supposed to be stronger.the effects the as related to the 7th definetely will be
different.it is pronounced in the case of saturn as he indirectly helps the
spouse by sharing the work and making her comfortable.where as jupiter certainly
is a different planet if retrograde the negative outlook increases and likely to
make the life miserable.
As all of us know that though jupiter is a benific planet,it does not really
enhance that bhava where he is posited.Jupiter by positioning himself enhances
1th bhava by 5th aspect,and lagna by 7th aspect and 3rd by 9th aspect.while
these bhavas improve 7th bhava has to pay for the positioning of jupiter in
7th.If it is retrograde,the native definetely will be under influence with
reference his mooltrikona rasi and exalted and debilitated signs.
certainly not ablessings to have aretrograde jupiter in 7th with reference to
that bhava as for that bhava if it is of lady jupiter becomes "karako bhava
nashaha"
