sunsign, moonsign, starsign astrology -- broad-sweep astrology!
Reposting this since the first one got posted with missing words!
Maybe the time is not ripe yet to awaken the populace!
While pooh-poohing sunsign astrology, Raman's intellectual
masterpiece, The Astrological Magaxine, started by his esteemed
Grandfather always carried a monthly column on moonsign astrology!
Nearly as ineffective and as non-specific as the sunsign astrology
his magazine mocked about when it managed to find time to take a
break from beating up on scientists and what they thought of
astrology. Hardly any scientists who were not astrologers read his
magazine, so really he was beating up on his own kind (scientists
but also astrologers!). Over time, I have seen this tendency amongst
astrologers to beat up on their own kind, and this posting is no
variation from that cultural norm amongst astrologers!
There are 6.3 billion beings, individuals in this world at this
time. It has been shown that unless you are born in the very north
(leo, virgo, libra ascendants rising more frequently), you are
likely to be born in a given sunsign or moonsign in a 1/12
frequency. So 6.3B/12 = 525000000 individuals per sun sign or per
moon sign!
Yet the mind-numbing, mindless trend to peddle sunsign reports,
moonsign reports, starreports continues, in railway stations,
airports (remember the flower in the ear guys selling their guru
books) and in bus stations and HORRORS, in serious astrology groups
and newslists!
Can any such peddlar come forward and demonstrate that any of these
readings were actually useful to a significant number of readers? Or
the basis of such a vague and broad-catchment reading being even
useful or worth the time spent reading?
