We should appreciate the fact that they have recognised Astrology like any other profession.

With warm regards Muruli. S

arrived big time in India-They will be taxed
Dear friends,Taxman cometh.With
regards,Jagmeethttp://www.deccanherald.com/deccanherald/mar22/i5.aspBANGALORE,
(DHNS)Although the 2003-2004 budget proposes to tax astrologers
andastropalmists, the budget itself was presented keeping in mind the tenetsof
astrology. The budget was presented at 9.30 am today to evade the evilimpact of
Rahu kalam. According to sources, the budget which wasoriginally proposed to be
presented at 11 am was advanced to 9.30 am forthis purpose. The fortunes of
astrologers, astropalmists, numerologists andfaith-healers will take a dent as
the State budget has proposed to bringthem into the next tax bracket. The
fortunes of online lottery centresand lottery agents is also at stake. Chief
Minister S M Krishna, whopresented the budget in the Legislative Assembly,
proposed to levy a taxof Rs 1,500 per annum on all these professionals in
Bangalore and Rs1,000 per annum elsewhere in the State.Mr Krishna, who
re-designed his official residence according to theprinciples of vaastu when he
took over as the Chief Minister, has notspared the vaastu consultants, who are
also proposed to be brought underthe tax net besides Feng Shui and other
similar consultants. Also proposed to be brought under the tax net are designers
andlandscaping consultants, as well as yoga and reiki treatment and
trainingcentres at a similar amount.[Om Kleem Krishnaaya Jagannathaaya
