Amavasya Date
Swamin, I live in Chicago and some say to do Amavasya tharpanam on Saturday June 24th and some say it is on Sunday June 25th. Please guide me to which is the correct date. Dasoham, Sripriya. |

Hi Sunday June 25th seems to be correct when calculated with time left on amavasya titi on the day. As the titi balance is more in 25th and there is no overlapping chaturdasi on 25th, June 25th is perfect for tharpanam.
